    VIDEO DESCRIPTION
    ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀
In this video I'll cover 10 common situational interview questions and answers using the star method. I also answer the common question - What is the STAR method? The star interview method is a technique used by interviewers to ensure that while you are answering an interview question and you are describing a situation where you are addressing the situation task action result, and this gives them a rounded response to their question.
The star method is also a great tool for candidates to use when answering any situational interview question as its a foolproof way of ensuring your interview has covered every area of the interview question.
I explain the difference between behavioral interview question and a situational interview question.
I cover the top 10 tough interview questions and answers, including particularly tough questions such as Tell me about a time when you failed, and Tell me about a time when you made a mistake.
I also cover a critical point when getting through your interview - the prep! Interview prep is critical and non negotiable if you want to get an offer. I cover the steps you need to take in my interview prep checklist video below.
I address many other tough interview questions and answers (link below).

      I have some questions:
      1. I’ve been rejected from about 50 interviews. (In the last one they found the excuse that I could have given more examples. There must have been 20 to 30 perfectly given interviews with no feedback at all. The feedback I got from a lot of them is that they went for another candidate).
      2. Before the pandemic it only took around 4 interviews to secure a new role
      3. I went to a top business school and have half a decade of experience working for blue chip companies
      4. *I’ve been given the advice by some corporate operatives that I could still somehow secure a role at a top company even if I’ve been unemployed for half a dozen years*
*Is it discrimination? Is it bias because there is money involved? I would just like to know what is going on as I’m being forced to retire early abroad/take a career break in the summer*.

Morning Amri. Watched a few of these kind of videos now and I found yours to be the clearest so thank you. As my interview later today is for a technical post, I find the new style of interview using these types of questions very new and quite irrelevant to me. I’m used to being asked technical questions and how I would apply engineering a situation but this is no longer the case with large companies who now use this interviewing style. I’ve certainly gleaned some great tips using your video and feel pretty confident I can pass my interview today! 🤞

Hi Amri, Just a quick Thank You for your hints and tips on success profiles and interviews. I recently passed my interview moving sideways from IE to HMRC. Although I had others helping, your guidance definitely helped me. I scored 6 in both behaviours and total of 10 (out of 12) for 3 strengths questions. Thank You.
The best bit of advice I would have for anyone is preparing properly before interview. I took a week off prior to it and it defintely helped me structure my behaviours and practice them.

This one is a tricky question I've come across recently: "Please describe your problem-solving skills. Give us an example when you used these skills to solve the root cause of a problem instead of implementing a temporary or quick fix? What was the outcome?"
When you could, I'd love to know how you would answer this matter. Please and thank you!

I think for interviews especially as a graduate it's better to be able to use the same examples for multiple questions, otherwise, you'll end up having a different example for each question.

I have an interview next week for quality assurance lead, I been in my current role as quality coordinator for 5 years, and have a lot of experience, but when it comes to interviews I get nervous and forget what I need to answer.
