I love my 2018 model 3 long range! I've learned a lot about tesla in only two months! ❤😮😊

Thank you for making this video. As soon as Highland performance comes to United States I'm buying it!!! Stealth Grey dark interior. This will be my first Tesla let alone first EV a little nervous as not sure what to expect. I'm all for the minimalism and tech. When I went on test drive it was so fun, acceleration was unworldly, planted to the pavement. Everyone I have asked , even strangers , said they love the car despite minor issues with some. I'm super excited.

I just got my MYP this past saturday. I've had many reservations about going electric but this car is amazing! Mercedes bought back my 2023 C43 because it's been nothing but trouble. I was looking to get the 2023 IS500 and decided to go with the MYP for many reasons. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask!

Hey from Australia I just got my first EV M3 Dual Motor 2023 absolutely love it everything about it, I have not experienced anything negative yet not quite as fancy as yours but my favourite car I've ever owned I just want to drive it all the the time! Enjoyed your review. Cheers, Mat.

This is the first I am hearing about the passing at 70 mph issue. I wonder if that is due to the fact that the electric motor primarily provides torque. As an old man who used to do a bit of drag racing as a youth, I know that cars with engines that had a lot of torque were quick off the line from a dead stop but lacked performance on the top end while cars with more horsepower than torque were less quick off the line but had a lot at the top end. Also, there is no transmission with an EV so the motor has a limit to the RPM it can do whereas a car with a transmission can change the gear ratio which allows the wheels to spin faster and the engine to spin at a lower RPM.

I charge to 100% on days I need to drive to work. Tesla said that was okay as long as the car is not sitting often at 100%. So I schedule the car to charge to 100% and be ready right before I leave for work or go on long shopping trips. I have the M3P 2023 as well. LOVE IT! I modded EVERYTHING! LOL!

I may try that. Since I can leave right away and the car knows how to time it. I think I fall down the rabbit hole of reading on the forums and Reddit about good charging practices which leaves me confused.

Would you feel more value from a long range with acceleration boost? Value coming from the extra range and less cost of tires?

Fellow 23m3p owner. You gotta swap them rollers. 20 inch wheels are literally undrivable. As are 235. Get yourself some lightweight 18 inchers with a 265/275 and you unlock the car's potential :)

6k miles on my 7 month old S Plaid with Track Pack brakes. A few expected creaks and groans. I’d rather deal with them than take it in for service. Tesla Service Center is not ready to serve enthusiast owners like me. Tesla parts access is atrocious. They have a lid on everything like Apple does the iPhone. I have FSD but it’s useless in LA. Enhanced Auto Pilot is cool and I’d pay for it again for the lane change feature.
I rarely supercharge, but it’s the only way to fly today because you know it’s got anvil like reliability.
Power remains immense. Braking is as good as the best Porsche has to offer. Software is Apple solid. Still one of the best looking EVs on the market today. The steep dep curve sucks, but expected. No one wants an iPhone X in 2023. You will ALWAYS be in the hole buying new mass produced battery vehicles. Just make more money.
Thanks for your content. Have a great New Year!

    • @eddiemcars
      @eddiemcars  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

I like the auto lane change feature alone. I feel like that should be standard!
Maybe one day I’ll upgrade to a Plaid. The M3P is so strong 0-60 that it leaves more to be desired beyond!
I try to avoid supercharging because I feel that defeats the purpose of an EV if you trade your gas stops for supercharging stops.

@@eddiemcarsI wouldn’t own an ev right now if the MSP with Track Pack didn’t exist. The 3 feels like a Tonka toy. The TP is so much more than just comparing 0-60 because it doesn’t hit its stride until ~80mph. Vastly improved handling. Cooling. Supercar level braking. You need to drive it with vigor to truly appreciate it. Gl!

This is my dilemma with getting one. I love the Model 3 and the Model Y Performance. Even a long range model s runs mid 10s at like 130. I think I would step up to the Model S LR at least. Even though the Model 3 looks amazing.

    • @eddiemcars

The new model 3 performance Or ludicrous should hopefully solve a lot of the complaints.

@@eddiemcars I’m probably going to get rid of my 21 Accors Touring for one. That’s my commuter. It’s pretty good. Has the 10 speed and the Type R motor. If the ludicrous can match the G82 performance, it may be time for a new commuter. It’s the top end that falls off on the Model 3 that has me. My neighbor has a Model Y Performance, and he didn’t get my G82 until it walked his Model Y so bad, he couldn’t believe it. I need at least the G82 top end performance out of it. It would need to pick up about 10mph in the qtr.

From personal experience my first driving years have been electric. Fortunate enough to drive a Teslas for work so have never experienced a gas car other than on my driving test. Having now essentially lived with these vehicles for a bit, I don’t see why I’d ever consider getting a gas vehicle. The level of convenience you get with these Tesla’s is amazing. The practicality and performance speak for themselves. If someone asked me to name a brand to consider when looking at a first EV. Tesla is first hands down.

Why would you wait for an excuse to get rid of something? To justify your decision? If you don’t like it or no longer want it that’s justification enough. Just get rid of it and go get what makes you happy. You’re only going to regret it later if you don’t and not appreciate the car and look for another excuse to ditch it. Not a good way to live.
