  • This is a modded run where magic orbs are worth 40x their value compared to vanilla VH. In other words, the orb value is the same as Athena on Easy, but the difficulty is Very Hard. Also, cost of casting any magic is reduced by 25%.
As you can tell, the focus of the run is to cast as much magic as possible

    0:07 >starting here
I suppose you opted to play it straight. So be it. I'll try to expand on my previous advancement of the old tech since it might not be the best of times doing AS/UR focus (even with DO to help my MAX'd self). My ideal would be having the door ahead open with all my opps dead and TRAN KNEE in position for W3's start. My checkpoint where you started the video (tripped after all this set-up **and a save before that**). Seems ideal for frequent restarts (make them less frustrating).
0:16 >opts to touch base and retreat before an attack
    Alright.
    0:23 This Bud's for you.
0:45 Barrier abuse v1? Maybe v2? Just go wild in the open?
NOTE: Not the most challenging of memes (by a long shot), but I wonder if there isn't a way to flag things to allow AotF at all times (much less infinite span). See how it would change balance in various spots if we had a bit more leeway with the tool (with upgrades and such).
1:02 Just being able to mod W3 to not flag him to run to the altar during the fight (just end up there after the barrier drops) would be dandy (enable us to reposition him). Anyway, I see we're go balls out. W1 deserves no respect.
    1:45 >v2
    Right.
    2:00 Refills going hard.
2:14 To flex, I'll probably alter then super launch this guy for RO.
    >gave him the shocker
Efficiency. I imagine it'll get a workout shortly though TS certainly has merits, too. Could CR to hold the priests in place before some TS goodness.
    2:40 >visible health bar
No checkpoint exploit? Sure. We doing the early drop? Into glide?
    >yes then no
    Okay.
2:43 >opted to interrupt with WB
Here I thought you might CR the moment the summon starts for more potential MP returns.
    2:46 >this visual bug
My eyes! The goggles DO NOTHING!
    >it was wide enough to still get the doggo
    Neat.
NOTE: I feel like some UR/AS spam without letting opps too close to the protectee might do alright to keep everyone away that is NOT a HPotF (warping in to grab, summon a geyser or sending a curse off-screen). Doing this to clear out the natural spawns might be my play. I'd rather not resort to spells and such, but you never know how sensible things will be (even with grabs **becoming less reliable with wild bombing though I'd still have RotT to help if caught up in OS kill of a dog**). If left with just HPotF, it would be pretty easy to work things out, I'd imagine (especially with decent output). Being mediums, I don't know that I can really count on UR spam for control.
    2:52 >CWB
    Now you're taking a piss.
    >SoD not out for any of this
Banking hard on the DMG kill of the cleric, I see.
    3:05 >LV for interrupt
    Not summons needed, then.
    3:10 SOLAR FLARE!
    >not angled to hit everyone at once
    Oh, you.
    >CWB covering your bases
We didn't really rule out RotT to dampen their blows, so you had this in your back pocket. I bet it is more necessary in the NUR version.
3:15 >still not lining it up
    >not switching to SoD when ONLY targeting the others
    Curious calls.
    3:24 Here comes THE MONEY!
    3:27 >going wild with WB
    >still no SoD out
    Why tho?
    >cutting it this close
    Oof.
    3:36 >SoD out
    Excellent.
    >the guy caught in his spawn animation falling to his doom
The first RO I've seen in this fight recorded.
    >neither pay out
    Stingy.
    4:02 >CR
Sensible. Here I thought you might (after that W3 showing) meme it up with CWB pushing them all away (into the spikes).
    4:21 >rage
    Huh?
4:28 >we got this set-up HERE and not East Auditorium
    Amazin'.
NOTE: If I remember right, it is 1K DMG flat dealt once while burning through hit count super rapidly (the higher it goes). Shame it doesn't last longer. You can turn off rage while it is active to save RP (though it opens you to taking hits **can't recall if you can be slapped out of it**).
4:51 CWB got love from me here. What's your play? Keepin' it simple with CR?
    >LV to WB juggles for dizzy
    I see.
    5:31 >the whiffs
It is hard to land shots in ground juggles.
    5:57 >not bothering
On to the hive. Would be a fiasco without CR.
    6:08 Bug zappin' time.
    6:25 >still not backleaping
Got to remember it is an option at times.
6:48 >did opt to work them
    Ayyy.
    >their reaction to WB is to do a move they otherwise lack
    Now I know.
7:45 CR should help make this much simpler.
8:26 A much better time to let loose as such. Good show.
    9:28 >CR set-up
Was more expecting LV, but this is good while on their side.
9:48 >just barely got the clean sweep
    Magnificent.
10:10 CR could, again, carry the day.
    10:15 >LV
Where it wouldn't be good for me, it is for you.
    11:50 >let one down
    Good.
    >casts soon after
    >before the others join
    Less good.
12:11 >barely reaches high enough vertically
    Noice.
12:55 >didn't stop shy of wander
Not saving her for later, then.
    13:20 >CR
    >WB
    >back to CR
    Word?
    13:40 >throws to finish
    A fine cameo.
    13:49 >RP
    KEKAROO!
14:22 We going hard or working hazards?
14:32 >shy of enough to kill with TS
    >for the OS kill finish
I suppose we're playing it straight with the wall break ahead.
14:48 >CR break letting them spawn early enough permitted MP drops
    Ah, that works nicely.
    15:12 >CR
Should let you be more efficient than I was.
    15:21 >EH
    Digging deep.
    15:24 >fake-out bomber ended him
    Hilarious.
    17:57 >pathfinding blunder
    Useful.
    18:32 >freed up
Took him a bit to negotiate it, didn't it?
18:41 >IA came out to play
    Surprise appearance.
    18:45 >skipping him away like a stone
    Outside the range of CR.
    18:58 >1 small orb
    Beats a blank.
    19:28 >MP refill
    Downhill slide.
20:01 >TB back out to play
    How nice for it.
    20:28 That's that.
    20:38 >sticking to the platform
Sure. TS to clear the chumps? CR for x2? WB for the clean-up (to "O", at least)?
    >TS spam while skellies weren't yet spawned to ration returns
    That'll do it.
21:21 >proceeds to bully with CWB
    Mean.
22:12 I just hopped up here to TS when they gathered to the left.
    22:22 It just works.
