Kratos knew what sindri felt about loosing someone you love. I just hope Sindri will not become like him. We all witnesses that such a loss can lead to bigger consequences. For the throne scene, kratos is kinda right. He destroyed everything in his path for claiming his revenge. But, let's be honest, he was blinded by his hate and was determined to go to the absolute measure to reach his main objectives : Kill Zeus. And let's say his surrounding wasn't a good help : some of the gods manipulate him to reach their own goal and Zeus himself made some decisions that just sealed the destiny he was trying so hard to avoid (i mean, what idea was that to destroyed Sparta ?).
i can feel his suffering imagine loosing your family 3 times everything just friends wont do it, the bad thing about it is that at the end of his third age he should have been in better condition i mean not to suffer just because his old self. game devs put tooo much emotional scenes and i love it.

But to answer your question, if Kratos tried to save his family, he maybe seen as a ghostly figure to them. After all, they had never seen him with his pale skin. So they would have mistaken him for an illusion and run away from him. But if they did believe him, and if Ares found out about this, then he would have sent his forces to try and separate them. If Kratos was kept busy for too long, then Ares would have transported his family to the place where young Kratos had killed them. This completing the cycle that Kratos was stuck in. Just my opinion, prove me wrong if you wish.

Plus he has the power of the box and he's death so if he comes to you, you're done

It would only make sense that being a Christian was next because it is the end of all social evolution. To become good. I would love to see him battling demons and fallen angels with Christian theology. To sacrifice everything that he is again .to be rewarded with heavenly peace eternally with his family and loved ones,but I'm a Christian so I so I see things from a different point of view I guess .
