Well, TP Link routers aren't obviously that great considering I spent over $200 on one and I still have constant input lag and stuttering. Absolutely baffling Sony hasn't put out a firmware update for this. Before you say, "oh well your internet isn't fast enough" I have over 400 upload and 33 download, I'm hardwired, I've done the port forwarding and static ip address, set priority devices, and completely remove every device from wifi.

The portal was okay but in like fo4 and witcher, when you rotate the camera there is a VERY noticable lag which hampers gameplay. The streaming on the Steamdeck was far smoother. Steve, this has baffled me why chiaki is SO much better than the dedicated Portal ON THE SAME WIFI NETWORK!!
      I have 2 theories:
      1. Portal only has the slower 5 WiFi hardware but devices like the Ally and Steam Deck have WiFi 6E which is much faster
      2. I believe Portal runs games at like 59.94MHz instead of 60MHz for some reason resulting in micro stutters

Lucky to have 900mbps download 900mbps upload and 5ms ping now i have upgraded my Router from the ISP provided router average around 850mbps on each and 5 to 10ms ping beforehand i was averaging around 600mbps on each and around 15 to 20ms ping which wasn't bad by any means but notice a lot less frame drops stutters and image pixelation since the upgrade. Good luck bud hope u get it working properly it's a great device. Plus i can now Remote play with the portal away from home using public WiFi or my Phones 5g with far far less issues than before away from home i would suggest single player games only unless on a dam good network. I think UK says “root”. In US you would say “I’m on route” (as root) so it’s not incorrect to say “rooter”
Almost every non US person who covered this device said “rooter”
