Back in 2008 I traded a 2005 zx6r for the brand new 2008 R6,the zx6r felt slightly quicker and I managed to see 176mph on the clock.The R6 could not match that reading although I think the clock was much more accurate. I now have a 2013 zx6r with mods and 123bhp at the back wheel,it is in a different league altogether.
For everyone who's arguing over this. Yamaha or Honda or the ninja. They are all fast as hell as a 600cc. and the best bike is the one you have. They are good in their out way (: chill guys. I had a ninja 636 and it was okay had a cbr it was okay but I recently got a Yamaha r6 and to me it's my favorite (: you might feel different that's okay we all like different shit (:

100000% no Stock r6 The Zx6r is the fastest out on top at high RPM range so its impossible. If you compare a 2007 kawa with a 2007 r6 (both stock) there is no way that the r6 would reclimb space like that.
Nice video and the graphs are nice, but if this was to show which bike is the 'fastest' then there are way too many variables that would corrupt the results.
What bike do you reckon one should get if they haven't been riding for awhile (over 1.5 years) R6? zx6ror 600rr or wouldn't know the difference. Some things to take into consideration is comfort and smoothness and just overall handling

Great race! The r6 has most mid ranged power which is why things got better in the 2nd run. The ninja & cbr have more off-line power so overall I love the R6
you know what they should do......they should create a mini city where on the roads it's only for people who ride like this. So similar to a track but just with the city environment because that's what makes it fun right haha that you can go on these long roads with different variations instead of just doing laps........would be cool.
you guys should think about getting a mic. it would make this sound so damn awesome. its too high pitched right now with the mic from the camera. try getting a mic for the gopro (a regular stereo mic nothing fancy. get something like the sony ecm-cs3) then just run the mic along your bike underneath the jacket and just clip it on to the bottom of your jacket. simple setup and you will get amazing sound. this video would seriously be amazing with better sound.
Tej Grewal Deffinitly the cbr with the most upright position and the highest clip-ons. You sit low and tuckt in, easiest to ride of them all, very forgiven when you mess up. R6 and the ninja have a very agresive riding position and same goes for the the angle of body and hands. More motor and performance in R6 and ninja. I owned them all (-08 cbr, -09 R6 and -06 ninja) and for everyday use I would go for cbr, r6 and ninja are trackbikes wich you wont use their potential on the streets unless U drive reckless. Eventhough cbr have the least hp its is the lightest and very very easy to ride and develop as a rider, you will learn how to push it harder while you become a better rider.
I’m not sure the zx was running to its full potential, I have a 07, they rev out at 17, peak shift point to hit best power is around 15-16, not trying to nag but the 07-08 were notorious for being stupid fast but lacked the 636 so they fell short in fans eyes
Well rec helmet...here it is.my wife has a 05 r6 and i have the very 07 cbr 6oorr that your talkin about the cbr is very fast,and i jump her at a roll like these guys,but once that Yamaha gets in its favorite place to be (above 7grand)me and my cbr are looking at her taillight getting smaller with each passing second.YES I CAN RIDE BETTER THAN HER...i have 15 more years of experience in riding than she does.with that being said the r6 is at home eating cbr's,and spitting out zx's and it dumps gsxr's in the toilet.

Zx6r is the best my 2018 zx6r spanks r6 and cbr 600rr all day an I dont have a quick shift up or down .....but I do have it flash an tuned ..with full exhaust and my bike is pushing 150ish horsepower wich is not bad at all for a 636cc

I wouldn't call 162 Mph slow. I used to own a mildly tuned 1997 ZX6R with full Micron system,K&N's Re-jet etc dyno'd @109bhp with some super sticky Bridgestone SS's and it embarrassed quite a lot of 1000cc bikes on the twisty country lanes and even kept up with 900 FireBlades on the straights. I have ridden R1's ZX9R's, CBR1000's, Ducati's etc.. and yes they have a fair bit more mid punch and top end but the most fun I had was riding the 600's especially the ZXR6 and R6, the GSXR 600 was the weakest power wise but was the best handling 600 in my opinion back then. BUT SLOW THEY AINT
i have '09 r6, replacing my cbr600rr. i agree that cbr600rr is a good one but in my opinion r6 is more easy to eat a corner and accelerated very well too. i've try zx6r & zx636, but it's not my things. so i choose r6
