No one builds like Gaston. No one smiles like Gaston. No one explains Japanese saws like Gaston. 😁
As a father of little girls, this made me chuckle! 😁
Planning my move to NZ so I don’t miss out on any more tool deals from Gaston.
Loll i was talking about it with my brother in law 🤣

Gaston's the man!
Great video! I love the community of builders and suppliers that you have in Auckland. We are much more cut throat here in the US in the big cities.

I love mine, I brought mine with me from Europe to Colombia, and glad I did, because I have yet to see them here.
Brilliant. Thank you

Your videos are so slick, yet so relaxed, it’s mind-blowing to see outtakes. I don’t know if that’s in a good way? 🧐🥺
keep up the good work mr brown more pareau and cameron please they strike me as awesome fellow associates and thats what you need in construction trade
Thats what im talking about !!! Keep them coming Scott !!!!!
That flush cut saw is the best I've owned.
I want one now. Not a builder but enjoy building stuff
Just bought the flash folding saw that I'll probably only ever use on PVC pipe lol
there's a magnetic adjustable guide that you can use with these saws to keep your cuts straight....worth having in your kit
Bugger! You just cost me $115!!! But two very nice saws coming to Christchurch.
I'm recent follower that discovers this gems between the various episodes....
Watching this video cost me $70! Haha looking forward to my new saw arriving!
Same here!
😂😂
in UK the full set of 3x Gyokucho hand saws cost £90
Axminster tools in the UK keep a good range in stock!
I've had to hold off going to axminster... theres so much stuff that I want but dont have the money Haha
Hi Scott, could you make an video of how you maintain your powertools?(washing and grease) ?
Bummer, code stopped working already. But great video. Stumbled across your channel after watching the Samurai Builder. Subscribed.
If you’re a UK’er then Axminster have a very large range at pretty good prices too.
Great video as always Scott.
👍🇬🇧
Cheers I'm gonna check them out
Paul Worldwide
Pleasure
👍
I have that 18cm short set - Ryoba, Kataba and Dozuki - It's a good starter set if you're doing small projects, furniture or stuff that isn't thick. Which seems rather obvious to say about short saws...
Hi,trying to saw one small wooden bedside table legs to travel with, what do you recommend? Thanks
Dictum are great, their website is super nice.
Wonder what the best saw is for cutting the little bit left inside a 90x90 post slot once you have done your skill saw cuts ? A normal euro saw does the job but kinda awkward
What about Australia? Where do we buy them?
Great video, one of your best, simple but Informative 👍🇬🇧
Hey can you ask Gaston where to buy things in Australia?
Love the Japanese tools they are on another level
oh man! will have to wait until next time to get some sweet discounts on japanese saws... already spent this months play money (and next probably!) and it's only the 4th haha.
Tell Gaston to get more RZ mask stuff in stock like F3 filters, so i dont have to order from 'murica next time! :P
where is the US Gaston. we need one in Virginia. 🤙🤙🤙
Great vid, those black handled Razor saws are fantastic for fine fine cuts. The blades are only about 0.3 or 0.5mm thick.
Yeah man, those blades are crazy thin
THey look very great, and probably more safer than the saw that most carpenter's use nowadays
I want one og those handsaws. From Denmark where do i find IT.
From Dictum website. That will be your best choice. cheers
I have one by Stanley Fatmax and it's terrible! Well, it cuts nice for now, but it's only had absolute minimal use and already 4 or 5 teeth are missing. I've only used on very small wood cuts, and quite gently too. I'm going to look for a different brand and save the Stanley for more rugged work were I don't care if it dies.
Where's gaston from?
Do these ones have hardened teeth?
I want a personal hand tool guy.
Gotta find a supplier in the UK. Cheers 👍🤙
Workshopheaven.co.uk, but be careful, once you start, you can't stop!
@@tcr_tagger3738 wow, where to start, thanks buddy
@@piranhatools3198 thanks Gaston
I want one just cause
I like one of them.but could not get
Gaston, do you sell to Australia?
Yes we do all the time. Just flick us an email and I can find out shipping cost for you. cheers
dude its 0502am what the hell get some sleep , i mean i'm about to head to site but get some sleep don't cut yourself up XD XD
dig the mini film's man
Great viddy Scott. Learned alot this evening. Thanks
Princess auto in Canada, good luck kids!
😯👍👍👍
There are brands that cut faster and cleaner than Gyokucho. Ginnokiba, Kijima Seikou and Nakaya Eaks to name a few.
Where in aust. Is the best place For them
You forgot about your neighbour, Australia mate
For us Americans, I think amazon is the best option for these saws
Yes it is.
these saws definitely pique my interest however the speed at which you should make a cut as to not damage the blade or workpiece is concerning
Hi Andy, Slow speed is just for beginners. You can go faster once you get more practise. cheers
Time isn't the problem in Japan.
It's how perfect you can do something, they have masters in Japan.
Which means you a min of 60 years of experience in 1 job, and it has to be proven as well with tests.
I see what you did there with your screen shot...

FBI: FREEZE! Drop the saw!
Never really answered your own question of why japanese hand saws. Just went though the different options and what they work best for.
The why us because they cut on the pull not the push. With a push cut if it gets difficult the cut is more likely to deviate, whereas with a pull cut you just keep pulling in the right direction.
Where's the good place to buy these saws in Israel?
Oh, nuts, we almost don't use wood in building😉😀😬
I bet Cameron has 2 of each...
Pretty much most of the ones you have seen on the table!!
Japanese handsets are so much better
I’ve been using them for over 20 years...they are so much better....I still have about 6 European hand saws
I did it myself thanks to Woodprix.
日本ののこぎりだ!
Cross cut and raping 😂
First!
What is raping?
Havent watched this yet but the answer is coz hes got too much fucking money to spend on tools!
I still don't see the value of these. What you call a european saw is the only saw you need
Jesus christ so wtf am I supposed to buy then? This fucking hobby is too much
