2021 Insight Touring Quick Review and Test Drive

- This is a quick review over the features and functions of a 2021 Honda Insight Touring. If you've already purchased one, or considering it this will give you a refresher of what the car has to offer. We will go over the exterior and interior features and functions and the follow it up with a test drive. On the drive I will go over what you lose dropping down to the EX, how the safety features work, and the overall ride quality.

Got the 2021 touring a month ago and cant be happier with it. New with this year is the rear cross warning and blind spot monitoring in addition to the slew of standard honda sensing safety features. Gas milaege is awesome. Cabin is quiet and ample power for my need. Ride is smooth and oozing with tech. Great price-performance car Honda!
I got a 2020 Insight touring. I wish I had waited for the 2021s, I really would’ve liked the blind sport monitoring over the crappy lane watch camera. How much mpg do u average. I get 40-42 mpg, driving mainly in the city. I can never get near the 51 mpg rating for some reason.
@@tatalala1713 In the '21 EX I only get about 38.8mpg as well. Never gets to those crazy high numbers. I think they're assuming you drive as slow as humanly possible.

I have a 2021 White Honda Insight EX is my Dream car. Only thing is I wish I got the Touring only because that is the only Trim with a Sun/Moon roof. Honda back in the day gave Sunroof to EX and limited Vehicles. Besides that I love the car.

Thanks Justin. I just bought one of these and taking delivery of it on Monday June 14, but for some reason I'm still on the fence about my decision. Your review really helped to settle my nerves and appreciate my purchase. Thanks so much. I was wondering if there are any city/state or other purchasing incentives I should be aware of as this is a hybrid. My salesperson didn't mention any incentives like lower APR or discounts and I got the Touring package. Thanks again.

I've had my eyes on the Insight for quite a few months. The only major thing that is keeping me from selling my current car, a 2019 Civic, is lane watch. So bummed Honda removed it in favor of blind-spot monitoring. Is there a place where we can petition Honda to bring it back?
There are aftermarket versions of Honda Lane watch. So if it is a feature you really want you can still get it.
sad there's no memory seats but not a deal breaker.
I noticed that...I see a few options limited in the insight touring vs Accord touring.
Great review! How much more comfortable would you say this is compared to the EX? I don’t really need the other Touring features but I do use my car as a mobile office and spend much of the day sitting in it.
It is just the difference in leather when it comes to comfort. (outside of additional features). So really, it is a little more comfortable seating. It really comes down to if you want/need extra features.
How would it do on cruise control going down 77 South through West Virginia were the highway is basically a steep mountain
Thanks for the review I really got a lot out of it. I do have a couple of questions. First does it have a digital speedometer readout. Second when using adaptive cruise does it display your chosen speed digitally? Thanks for your help.

My wife has the 2021 Insight Touring. To answer your questions.
1. No, the gauge cluster is split. One-half a standard analog speedometer on the right and a customizable digital display on the left.
2. No, it does not have a digital readout of your chosen speed. (I've experienced what you are asking when I rented a Nissan Altima once. It had a small readout of the set cruise speed. If you tapped ACC/DEC on the steering wheel, that value would increase or decrease appropriately.)

I like this car! It is much like a Civic, but hybrid. So for that reason I think it is cost effective, offers hybrid MPGs, and still actually looks nice! I think you are on a good vehicle.
For what it's worth I have the 2021 Insight EX and love it (also my first car). The road noise is not an issue for me if you play music or drive it like a hybrid! Also sport mode is great for going up hills or having some fun.

I'm struggling to choose which trim is best for me. What concerns should I have with light tan leather seats? People tell me they are difficult to keep clean.
In my experience leather is fairly easy to keep clean. Typical messes wipe out pretty quickly on leather. It's a little bit different story with cloth..
You don't have to get that color.
cant beat that gas mileage.. wish it had ventilated... thats my luxury go-to item since i live in a hot area.

I wouldn’t recommended leasing one. I have a 2020 insight touring, which I’ve financed
I was considering it but no. Hatchback only for me.
I have a 2020 insight touring, interior is quite small. The extra head room and trunk space of a hatchback prius is very nice to have. The insight feels very cramped to me.
How much can you get off MSRP on these typically?
Roughly $1500. After that its about current incentives...

It does not.
We have the spare tire in Mexico, but not the hotspot 😪
I have an insight touring, but I can’t get the hotspot to work 🤦♂️. Got an ATT subscription and was on the phone with them for hours, but couldn’t get it to work. Took it to the dealer and those dumbasses didn’t know how to fix it either.
