    I test drove the 2019 Honda Insight and I liked it overall... but sadly Honda forgot the lumbar support, cross traffic alerts, and proper blind spot monitoring.

      BSM and Cross traffic alert coming to 2021 models which should be coming out soon.

    I really like this insight 👍🏽
    I’m surprised to know that the LX has led light, Honda sensing, and lighted sun visors.
    Great review buddy!!

    Wow! Spectacular review! The Insight sure seems like like it could "kill the Prius". I guess only time will tell. Keep it up, Bernie! 👊🏽

    I Wish honda would put these brake lights on the accord. then i would buy an accord. i like that the accord has real blind spot.

    I just bought the EX version in crimson red. Getting 51 miles to the gallon so far. Loving this car. Also a great price point. Honda did good

    Best color to hide swirls and minor scratches. My current car is White Orchid Pearl and I love it.

      It’s a really pretty color. My Accord is Taffeta White :)

    I love it so much........ I bought one. A red touring and I'm averaging 55mpg in the city in ECO mode. I don't bother with the sport mode.

    Most if not all have white interior pillars and roof, so I’m leaning towards ivory interior. How do you know about the fading fabric? Other cars with the same fabric in the past?

  • @Frank71

    Soo many have tried to be the "prius killer", so many have failed.
    has a more "mature" look then the "boy racer" look of the civic...

    Good review, love this new car. Speaking of the wheels, I think color keyed to match the paint instead of that ugly gray would look good!

    You seem a bit too scripted. But overtime you will get comfortable and "flow" better in your reviews. Good to have you on board and I look forward to more reviews !
    I'm so glad the Insight looks like a normal car, hopefully it inspires Toyota to normalize the Prius.

    I’m writing this comment at the 26 minute mark. But, I read that the touring model has 450 watt speakers and subwoofer. How is the sound for you? Is it nice and has good bass?

    • @BernonCars
      @BernonCars  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The sound is quite good. Better than average I’d say. Doesn’t sound tinny, depends on the music you listen to. It handles most bass pretty well

    I'm assuming with those LED exterior lights they should never burn out if you keep the vehicle for 20 years? Am I right in my assumption based on the longevity of LED lights?

    • @BernonCars
      @BernonCars  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      They unfortunately might. I’ve heard of widespread issues with they 9.5G Accord LED DRL’s. Not sure though

    • @BernonCars
      @BernonCars  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’d go for the Insight, just because you get a lot more nice features out of it.

    Why did Honda discontinue the lanewatch on the Odyssey?

    • @albertwiersch9852
      @albertwiersch9852 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Probably because blind spot monitoring/sensors on both sides of the care is better and less distracting.

    • @chadwickwood9843
      @chadwickwood9843 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Because lanewatch is garbage? Not sure why they put it in this car. Standard blindspot monitoring the rear cross traffic would be nice.

    Engine droning on acceleration is annoying

    • @BernonCars
      @BernonCars  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Extremely annoying lol, I just have a loud exhaust on my car, so I’m used to it, but the sound this thing makes gets really old!

    • @Yondaily

    • @N2LADIES55
      @N2LADIES55 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've seen several reviewers complain about that droning sound. I still want one and guess I would have to turn up the radio volume to drown out that noise.

    • @chadwickwood9843
      @chadwickwood9843 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      N2LADIES55 I'm sure it's something you'd get used to after a bit and can "tune it out"

  • @Doublebboy188

    Alright so a few questions.
    Do you have to charge this car?
    When not using the electric mode and just using the gas mode only what kind of mpg does it get?
    If you need to charge how long does it take?
    Thanks

    • @WillSada
      @WillSada 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is not rechargeable at home since it's not called "plug-in hybrid". The battery pack charges itself while driving, breaking. The car switches between gas and electric motor or uses both as needed. To measure mpg in gas mode only - you need to be driving it in only SPORT mode, but if I were to take a guess I would say about 40 mpg.
