Regarding the complaints about having to go through tons of menus to adjust the cooled/heated seats. The climate concierge works great but if you want to manually adjust them quickly, simply click on the icon on the right part of the screen that looks like a stick figure sitting down with an arrow pointing at his head. That takes you directly to the ventilated seat controls. Extremely quick and easy.
You are 100% correct... In everyday driving, the 2UR V8 has PLENTY of power! No it isn't a track weapon, but comfort and capability is the name of the game. Thanks for posting!
The infotainment complaints are grossly overblown and more of a talking point for reviewers than anything else. Touchscreens are greasy, dirty and tacky plus the overwhelming majority are abruptly jammed into a dashboard like a gravestone. Lexus touchpad isn't the best out there, especially compared to something like BMW i-Drive, but it's still easy enough to use (perhaps less so for people who barely have any time with it). Also there's physical controls for the HVAC and shit that matters while driving. The LC500's screen integration (pre-2024) is better than 95% of vehicles on the market.
Hi my brother is a lexus RX350 owner here. The lexus touch screens are amazingly well done and I've had mine for 6 months. Not a single smudge on it and he said he doesn't clean it at all.
@@Slythey Try it on any of the new lexuses dude. I am not a lexus salesman and I only buy mazdas and I am gonna tell you that whatever material they are using on top of the new lexus screens are very smudge free.
I have a 21 vert, the track pad is clunky but I use it so infrequently, it matters very little. The new screen and tech provides some benefits but the design of the dash is pretty much ruined.
I have the same touch pad infosys on my RX and I can tell you that once you’re familiar with the menus you don’t even need to look at the screen to know what you’re selecting, your fingers just know where to go to the item. Versus the touchscreen you’ve got to look at where your finger is pointing.
owning the 2018 coupe,I can’t agree more! The touchpad is awesome in the way you described. In fact, when I had the is500 (it’s got both touch screen and pad), I never use the touch screen and use the pad exclusively because it’s so much more comfortable to use.
I have one in the UK and agree with all your views except to say the upright position of the back seat makes it very uncomfortable for all but short journeys but it also provides great storage space😀
Take some time and learn voice command, and you will almost never have to use the trackpad. I like to remind everyone that’s a whole idea of driving. A car is to not get dead. The best way to do that is to keep your eyes on the road at all times. With a touchscreen, your eyes cannot be on the road and the touchscreen at the same time. In an instant you can go from, healthy and happy two something altogether different. Learn voice command whether you have the old or new system and be safe.
Hi Ben, I have the exact model, spec and color. Congratulations on the decision to buy the best car in the world :) I agree 100% on all the points you mentioned. Well said 👍🏼
I agree - the touchscreen makes you lean up out of your normal position to use. And you very rarely need to access any of it once you have everything set up.
totally agree w u @ 2:18. i love the clock w the carplay, didn't know this version had carplay, but now knowing this my21 would be my go-to. i don't like the new ones without the clock.
I am with you 100% about all three "complaints"! I think the new infotainment scheme looks like an iPad propped up on the dash, and I've been saying that since the 2024 was shown. YUCK!!!
Coming from an LS, i def miss all of the convenience features. I hate that lexus refused to put in the birdseye view camera. People complaining bout the infotainment system havent tried bmws and mercs and lambo where there are no physical buttons at all
Won’t it be much cheaper to buy from a private seller and do a full inspection at a dealer before buying it? Im curious how the 2025 will look. If it looks better then 24 I’ll wait till that one is couple of year then buy it if not then maybe in couple years buy the 24 used one since they finally changed the no more pad in e middle. I have older vehicles for just liability for 3 vehicles for a year I pay only like $600. Are you glad you got it or u wish u got something different?
I just bought a 2023 lc 500 convertible with 3k miles from a lexus dealership (certified pre-owned). I test drove the 2024 and didn't feel the upgraded infotainment system was worth the extra money. In addition, the new infotainment system looks like it was yanked out of a lexus rx suv and put into the LC. The original design is much cleaner and the clock adds a touch of class to the esthetics. I have two cars in total. a 2018 jeep grand cherokee and the lexus. full coverage insurance in NY is not cheep. runs about 6800 per year for full coverage. For 2025 the car looks exactly the same and the engine remains the same. The only changes are a new brace for the bottom of the car and a new color option (iridium). The lexus also retains its value throughout the years really well...who while its cheaper to buy from a private seller...its certainly not MUCH cheaper.
2024 new dash...horrid deisgn. Those complaints are non-exisitent for real users. This car is all about the Looks, Engine Music and Reliability! Love my LC. Btw, backseat is only good for 5 minutes :)
The infotainment system interface is from people that would never even be able to own one. But they also would be the same people that saw a 911 for sale ask 1. IBS bearings... 2. Piston scoring. In other words, you can't afford that either. Ps.. just traded my 997 for a LC500 convertible. And Im 6'3" and have plenty of room...
Totally agree with the infotainment system. Voice command works excellent and even pulls up seat heater function.

Fair enough!
do you have the cabrio?
I’ve had the coupe since 2019 and really don’t think about the track pad anymore. I use CarPlay exclusively and it’s a non-issue.

Thanks
Great video by the way. Your good and this and should consider more car content

Great video, look forward to more content. I have the LC coupe.
thanks so much!
I'm one of the very few, I like the trackpad, no issues with it at all. They can keep that touchscreen crap!
Its is wireless CarPlay?
The back seats are not back seats, they are insurance reducers. Also note the back seats are not leather so not equal at all.
Awesome video, posting video tonight your getting your shout-out
cool 😎 thanks!

Very happy with the purchase. Yes, being able to see the car and inspect it would have been ideal but these are pretty rare.

Where did you buy it from? What is the insurance price and. Is it for full coverage and property tax on it?
Had to source it from a dealer in Florida. full coverage Insurance definitely went up 🤣

at 6’3 that actually is a bit surprising. convertible?
lol I'm literally a 6'7" person! FWIW, I'm totally comfortable in the front seat, but I'm also thin.
