The LFA was actually not that expensive starting at 300k only 500 were made and now they start to sell just under a Million€ and everyone who reviewed one says that the experience and sound are just one in a kind
I'm an Audi fanboy, but I agree that Lexus is a top notch car brand too. They make some of the most beautiful high quality interiors while keeping a strong reliability record.
And I don’t think that will change soon... The pricing does not match “brand-appreciation” in most parts of the world... so they are unlikely to get new customers that aren’t already Lexus fans. If you never driven one and maybe got some inheritance to burn... who but car guys think of a Lexus

I love how the infotainment system is mounted into the dashboard rather than the car manufacturers just popping a monitor on top of the dashboard. That is way much better 🤓

Has to do with Japanese insurance and taxes being cheaper on 4 seater cars than 2. That is why Japanese makers try so hard to add back seats even if there is 0 leg room.
that big metal Volume Adjuster, the awesome Gage Cluster and the metal Drive Mode selector just shows how the designers of this car understand how important the Feel of a car it is, they could have just handled it like other cars but they made it so much better.
@@dragospahontu My point exactly, the Cayman is a thoroughbred sports car focused solely on the fun of driving and driver engagement. A manual, mid-engine, lightweight, small wheelbase; These are all part of the recipe to an engaging sports car. The Lexus on the other hand, is focused on covering large distances fast and in comfort, the LC is not designed to compete with the cayman, not even the 911, its closer to the likes of the Panamera since its a fast GT car. P.S. The LC500 is definitely more practical than the Cayman 😂
@@Ssh52 let me tell you the Cayman has more storage space. And it is just as comfortable if not it's even softer with the adaptive dampers. You can't make a front engined car ride like a mid or rear engined car because of the wheel geometry.

Amazing car - and for those who do not follow every car reviewer that says, buy a Audi, Porsche, BMW, used Bentley etc... good for you!! But reality will be most will want a premium badge, and second beware depreciation! Having owned a GSF - I think the top end Lexus are fabulous, nothing goes wrong, the build and interiors are great, features are right up there... and yes the Infotainment is not as good as the competition, but like all, you get used to using it! Naturally aspirated V8 is wonderful on the ears... if you can make your own mind up, drive one of these or the coupe, you will not be disappointed... but if you follow the crowd please ignore and buy German and after the warranty wears out, look at it in the service department as the Lexus drives by!!

17:12 - it isn't really about gearbox, it has much more to do with the NA engine which doesn't have any lag and has very lineal torque. This means that getting into the "right" gear is not really that important and ratios are very close anyway, so whenever car goes into 3rd or 5th you won't notice it much anyway. Economy on this V8 is actually good as well, you can easily do 36MPG on motorway, and I mean you can still do it when cruising at 90 (not 70) MPH, well at least that is what I was able to get in LC500 Coupe. If you very very careful you can still get 24-26 around town. For comparison I am getting 18 and 28MPG in my RC200t - which is car horrible horrible engine. Sadly Lexus leaves no option for me - it is either 200t or RC-F which has same V8. I wish I could afford the V8, but I just can't. Obviously there is horribly slow RC300h (9.3s 0-60 in sports car just unacceptable). SO yeah..this V8 is not a problem if you can afford the car itself.
The exterior is cool but the front is a bit “too Lexus “ and by that I mean that it seems like a lot of previous Lexus we’ve seen... but that interior is absolutely gorgeous !! Probably the most jaw dropping interiors I’ve seen on a car
That makes no sense at all. You might as well say the same for BMWs then as all have BMW have 'BMW' looking fronts for example with their grills and headlights (especially the halos) Same for Audis which have distinctiveheadlights also. That's what makes the car and brand what it is and identifiable. You can't ever look 'too much' like your brand. This lexus front only looks like previous modern day Lexus cars. Car brands and models don't change their front styling every year. Just like the 2020 civic looked like it did in 2017

Quite simply, a stunning looking modern car and if like me you have owned or driven many of the German marques and a Lexus... No one builds a better mass produced car than Lexus. The attention to detail they put into things that most wouldn't even recognise is impressive. Windows that glide up and down but over the last inch of travel slow down to stop the 'thunk' as the window hits its stops. The paintwork is so sharp almost like a unique paint job by a one off show car painter. Seats and interiors that after we'll into 6 figure mileages that still feel new and squeak free. Their design language inside and out is unique and completely at odds with that being pushed by others and its all the more refreshing for it. 0-60 in 5 seconds is fast enough for anyone in the modern age... Let's be honest, unless you are going to track day it but that's not what this car is about. Adten you get consummate reliability... When was the last time you saw a Lexus at the side of a motorway? They last forever, dealer service is amazing and prices are very competitive.

I test drove the V8 coupe. Loved it but wanted a convertible and bought an F-Type. This is very appealing. I’ve owned to Lexuses... never missed a step.

I recon that Volvo makes the best seats in the entire car industry! And that comes from spending day afrer day in Volvo’s, driving all over Sweden. Also, it is commonly known that Volvo’s car seats are so good that no other car brand even comes close to have what Volvo got. Best regards Chris

I’m currently working on one of these and that old school touch pad and those weird knobs on top of the dash were the first thing that caught my eye. Overall it’s a great car! Definitely stands out!
Sooo.....you like an almost dysfunctional touchpad that will take way more of your attention and time to fiddle with while you then crash headlong into a truck. Got it.

BMW owner here and i'm seriously considering getting on of these. It's a shame the rear looks a bit busy and overdone, that's the only thing getting in the way :/

17:12 - it isn't really about gearbox, it has much more to do with the NA engine which doesn't have any lag and has very lineal torque. This means that getting into the "right" gear is not really that important and ratios are very close anyway, so whenever car goes into 3rd or 5th you won't notice it much anyway.
Economy on this V8 is actually good as well, you can easily do 36MPG on motorway, and I mean you can still do it when cruising at 90 (not 70) MPH, well at least that is what I was able to get in LC500 Coupe. If you very very careful you can still get 24-26 around town. For comparison I am getting 18 and 28MPG in my RC200t - which is car horrible horrible engine. Sadly Lexus leaves no option for me - it is either 200t or RC-F which has same V8. I wish I could afford the V8, but I just can't. Obviously there is horribly slow RC300h (9.3s 0-60 in sports car just unacceptable). SO yeah..this V8 is not a problem if you can afford the car itself.
You'd choose the Lexus over BMW or Jag because it is reliable.

Who buy this type of cars dont care about the numbers, is just about the looks, the interior and the sound, in those categories is amazing.
The exterior is cool but the front is a bit “too Lexus “ and by that I mean that it seems like a lot of previous Lexus we’ve seen... but that interior is absolutely gorgeous !! Probably the most jaw dropping interiors I’ve seen on a car
Headlamps of Lexus LC 500 is inspired from Black Hawk native American Warrior (not like a running mascara as common british carwow host said).
That makes no sense at all. You might as well say the same for BMWs then as all have BMW have 'BMW' looking fronts for example with their grills and headlights (especially the halos) Same for Audis which have distinctiveheadlights also. That's what makes the car and brand what it is and identifiable. You can't ever look 'too much' like your brand. This lexus front only looks like previous modern day Lexus cars. Car brands and models don't change their front styling every year. Just like the 2020 civic looked like it did in 2017

Quite simply, a stunning looking modern car and if like me you have owned or driven many of the German marques and a Lexus... No one builds a better mass produced car than Lexus. The attention to detail they put into things that most wouldn't even recognise is impressive. Windows that glide up and down but over the last inch of travel slow down to stop the 'thunk' as the window hits its stops. The paintwork is so sharp almost like a unique paint job by a one off show car painter. Seats and interiors that after we'll into 6 figure mileages that still feel new and squeak free. Their design language inside and out is unique and completely at odds with that being pushed by others and its all the more refreshing for it. 0-60 in 5 seconds is fast enough for anyone in the modern age... Let's be honest, unless you are going to track day it but that's not what this car is about. Adten you get consummate reliability... When was the last time you saw a Lexus at the side of a motorway? They last forever, dealer service is amazing and prices are very competitive.

I recon that Volvo makes the best seats in the entire car industry!
And that comes from spending day afrer day in Volvo’s, driving all over Sweden.
Also, it is commonly known that Volvo’s car seats are so good that no other car brand even comes close to have what Volvo got.

I’m currently working on one of these and that old school touch pad and those weird knobs on top of the dash were the first thing that caught my eye. Overall it’s a great car! Definitely stands out!
Sooo.....you like an almost dysfunctional touchpad that will take way more of your attention and time to fiddle with while you then crash headlong into a truck.
