@MercOne yeah, way higher quality, dash board won't fall apart from being in the sun, and the engine starts no matter what. Also, about 140k cheaper and 90% of the experience and feel.
@@blewydYou’re just talking and guessing. This car doesn’t approach 90 percent of anything concerning a DB12 with is weak performance. You’ve had an Aston dashboard crack in the sun on you? Start no matter what? Hyperbolic bs at best.
My goodness that car is stunning! Awesome video Micheal, you did a wonderful job highlighting the positive attributes as well as commenting on the areas of improvement. I have an 02 SC 430 and an 08 SC 430…I think I need one of those :)
I am so glad they brought that contrasting color combination back. They had that stellar combo in the launch editions that was very similar with the white and blue but also had orange accents in addition. I personally love that white interior with the blue contrast. I keep my car pristine so it would be no problem for me to have the white color interior. It looks so gosh darn classy. I really elevates the vehicle. For the money, you would be hard pressed to find a similar performing, looking, sounding, and quality of fit and finish vehicle for the same amount of money you pay for this incredible machine. Japanese V8 engines are built to a quality similar to the finest Swiss watches! This vehicle (in the Coupe form) is one of my all time dream cars!
Hey there. I am the proud owner of a’23 LC500 Convertible. Car is white w Toasted Caramel top and interior. What an absolute pleasure it is to sit in this beauty. While I would say , drive one you’ll buy one, at least if you’re lucky enough to see one. 🏖️
I will be buying the convertible in the near future. For me, white exterior, caramel interior, tan top. I can live with the tablet thrown on the dash! I prefer the previous integrated look!
Some people just can’t be satisfied “due for a redesign!”What are you gonna improve on this gorgeous car? just keep on making it the same way until I could afford one.don’t fix what’s not broken.
I ordered this interior with Ultrasonic blue mica 2.0 exterior. I will have to ceramic coat the the white interior. For years I either chose black or tan interiors, but wanted to be brave lol and chose this interior.
The touch screen does look out of place, last minute slap on. It doesn’t fit in with the rest of the dash, they could’ve done a bit better with the design integrated with the rest of the dash more but I think being the last product of the LC before going into the new redesign they just don’t wanna spend the effort and just to make people happy with the new technology.
We have a 23 LC and a 24 LS. Oddly, they are VERY similar as far as the interior and maneuverability go. I have to say that I am not a fan of the touchscreen (LS) and can operate the track-pad (LC) with less distraction. In order to use the touchscreen, you have to lean out of your normal driving position to interact with it. You can fudge-about with the track pad at your leisure without becoming distracted. I will admit the addition of dedicated buttons to get to certain screens is a plus, but the general operation of the touchscreen is worse (more effort) than the track-pad. (IMO) In the real world, you rarely have to use either one, so, whatever. It's still a great car. The 360-degree camera is the only thing I wish the 23 LC had.
You know, i have a 2018 so of course Im biased, and I can't fault the new technology. That being said, I love way the screen is integrated on mine vs how its just a stuck on tablet here. Not that the screen is bad, just not as integrated. I do wish I had a 360 camera though!
Such a beautiful car. Why no wireless charger? That makes no sense. The small trunk is a definite negative. I have watched 6 or 7 reviews on this car, and the reaction to the backseat is always the same "the backseat, well, um, ahhhh". ha ha!
Yeah, the first time I reviewed one (back in 2021), I had my brother squeeze into the back, it was clown-car absurd. A car seat actually fits back there... but then no one can sit in the passenger seat hahaha.
2024: That ugly low-rent touch screen just slapped in there and ruined the classy dash, and they removed the analog clock, and ruined the 21" wheel design - rubbish. Will have to look for a 2023 now.
The real question is will apple edit " can Lexus or a third party retrofit " or mod that new infotainment system or something similar similar to it in functionality and quality for say $5000 or so. There are a lot of luxury older cars that only lack a well thought out touchscreen is and apps, wireless apple carplay and Android auto and the ability to control the same thing the hard to use touch pads from Lexus Acura etc have in them.etc If they can hack a car computer for more performance then surely they can hack one for better infotainment control perhaps even add a panel of tactile switches and knobs for direct ac volume tune control control? Vw GTI anyone?
@@Tigerex966 I think I understand. Typically speaking, automakers don’t revisit audio systems (although Porsche has), so if there was a solution it would probably be aftermarket. That said, the 18-23 LC is relatively rare and the dash is so integrated I wouldn’t bet on an easy fix. But that’s just speculation on my part..
@@internetbrandsautogroup3826 I think you are right there are some android after market that might be able to fit nicely with custom installation and provide most of the features wireless carplay etc. But not the hardwired ac controls and seat controls.
@@Tigerex966 Yeah, adding wireless functionality is realitvely easy on wired CarPlay and Android Auto systems, but adding touch functionality would be a chore.
Everything looks great especially the doors. The only thing that I don’t like is the lighting, I don’t like that kind of extends lighting strike down look. It’s kind of overdone, childish, cheap and not classy. If they take out this part then this is a perfect looking car.
@@internetbrandsautogroup3826 I suppose it depends on if you have the coupe, or convertible. I have a coupe with a fixed carbon roof and the light isn't as prevalent. I have had a couple folks ask me if it's blue, or black when they're taking a quick glance. That lends to how dark it can look.
Are you serious man? It's quarter mill in Holland? Wow man. I'm from Serbia and we don't even have it on used market. So I'm looking to get one out of Germany and import it here. @freudsigmund72
I will say it’s not as pretty inside as the older styling. It does kinda ruin it. The metals and glass look recessed was great. It loses the gravitas and on a car like this it’s expected. I own Lexus products with the older large screen gps and it just looks nicer and the functionality never bothers me.
It’s a real dilemma- this new car does have significantly updated tech, particularly the 360 degree cameras which are very helpful in a low slung vehicle like this. However, there is no question this looks slapped on, like someone told Toyota to stick the touchscreen somewhere with no regard to the overall dashboard look
I think it looks markedly better! That old touch pad and recessed screen with analog clock looked grossly outdated. This update finally caught the car up to date!
