It's still so bizarre to me that Palicos are speaking full human language. They've always talked, sure. But I always imagined our hunter just knows how to translate cat speak
It would be cool to do clashes with a new weapon that is just gauntlets and greaves designed to fistfight the monster, like the clashes in Vindictus. Each part could have sort of a mini battering ram, activated through explosive charges (like a powder actuated nailgun). The fists are purely for offense, but the legs can use this explosion for jumping too. I don’t against the idea of Daren Mohran’s return. But there is a single horn line in the continent’s of Monster Hunter. The west, Old Desert are populated with Monoblos, and East Desert by Diablos. Both have a distinct difference especially for their horns. In MH1, the game took place in Western Continent and the Monoblos was the final quest in the Village Quests. But creating Monoblos’ armor will unlock Diablos Ques called “Runaway of Diablos”. This mean the Diablos wasnt suppose to be jn the West Continent. This is why there is no Monoblos in 3rd generation because it took place in East Continent. And yes there is where out beloved two horned whale lives, Jhen Moran exclusive habitat are in East. In 4th generation, we return to West Continent, especially by the Monoblos existence in solo hunt. By following the horns geography line, Darren Moron appear exclusively in West Continent/Dessert. I know a lot of people didn't like the Kluve fight but as a mostly mmo player up to that time I absolutely LOVED her. Nothing felt better to me in world than getting an entire server that knew the steps to max out your drops ad rolling with them all night,
I already hate the weapon moveset changes and I still hate the concepts of weapon switching and item restocking, but everything else looks cool I guess. Also I'm sure you're right and it's the flagship/big bad who made that round mountain but I like the idea of it being a burrowing giant monster like Dalamadur or Dahren (or Shara, which sadly will almost definitely be absent from Wilds based on past monster roster patterns) tunneling through the rock in the geologically ancient past, with erosion unveiling the shape of the rock as a bizarre karst outcropping- Something that should be common in the MH setting (similar to mountains made from monster bones) but hasn't really been addressed before, the closest thing being Dalamadur's crazy twisted spire (and the implication that it carves river beds), but that was formed totally aboveground.
I am excited for this game, I plan on playing and trying to finish to the ending credits of as many monster hunter games as I can. I also want a Greg Moron, but I also want our beloved Poogie back, im currently playing Rise and its not the same without Poogie how can I do well in a hunt without my good luck charm.
Glad Im not the only one who noticed the "clash" mechanic being very similar to Vindictus's Karok lol. Knew exactly where you were going when you said it lol. I still play it, in fact I started playing Monster Hunter because of how similar the two are. While it's a far cry from what it once was, I still do enjoy it lol.
Monster Hunter Frontier Z Zenith also had the Magnet Spike, with it's Magnet Pin. Most OP bullshittery ever, allowing the player to have a magnet clash with the monster where you had to button mash in order to deal massive damage yourself. What makes it so great other than the massive DPS? Your hunting party can still deal damage to the monster in the meantime.
I’m preying its release is January 2025! That’s already agonising enough but I don’t think my blood pressure can take any longer of a wait, I’m too excited for wilds!
A note, the stance Sephiroth takes is called "ko gasumi." Nothing important about that, I just think Japanese swordsmanship is Neat. The Longsword Hunter Art "Critical Juncture" has the hunter taking a similar stance, though I'm not sure if that's actually ko gasumi or something different. ...yes I main Longsword, though that's only because normally I model my hunter after Sephiroth. I couldn't NOT main Longsword doing that.

i thought the giant thing in the back was like a huge fossil, or shedding of some sorta serpent, ive only had mhw and mhr under my belt, but i remember way back my friend saying the rotten vale was a serpent you are running inside of till you get to the ground floor
A fellow pig and a monster hunter fan you my friend have made a new subscriber
the one thing I am looking forward to that I hope they keep in from the gameplay trailer is that seemless transition from cutscene to gameplay th
Also that cat from the monster hunter Netflix show he could speak
So you can notice it in the trailer, But Gemma does have the Arluq insignia on the back of her jacket as Caravaneer. Also her name means Gem which means her adoptive father truly found this girl to the Gem in his eyes.
The idea of a cinematic parry where the hunter blocks and fights off a Jhen mohran in a qte makes my eyes glaze over and my heart hurt, I’m sorry
I have an omega COPIUM hope that we will get raid missions with 12+ hunters against boss monsters
Imagine a 12 men siege against a revampen jhen mohran or shen gaoren, I'd feel like a child again
I think clashing is the wild style equivalent of wyvernriding.
Thanks now I'm putting a macho voice to my Palico
My theory with the voiced palicos is maybe they are bringing back prowlers so now it could be in cutscenes.
Im so happy they are giving us the option for the palicoes to make cat sounds still. id like to keep my cat illiterate thank you
Capcom's new engine really is doing some good work. DD2 looks amazing, so I can't be hyped enough for wilds!
It’s crazy to me you aren’t bigger, i always loved your opinions
A note, the stance Sephiroth takes is called "ko gasumi." Nothing important about that, I just think Japanese swordsmanship is Neat. The Longsword Hunter Art "Critical Juncture" has the hunter taking a similar stance, though I'm not sure if that's actually ko gasumi or something different.
...yes I main Longsword, though that's only because normally I model my hunter after Sephiroth. I couldn't NOT main Longsword doing that.
That stance being actually in the game just makes me want a FF7R collab even more than I already did.
@@FelisImpurrator I mean, Masamune is a Longsword and the Buster Sword is a Greatsword. Capcom, please negotiate with Square Enix, I want Masamune.
He’s really just yappin on this one
It's always a good day when Flyann posts a new Video
