@pinguke123 No sorry console. The buffs have a flashing effect when they're expiring. There's 2 buffs for the bug and 3 buffs for you. The bug buffs are when you feed it Slinger ammo, the buffs for you are when the bug hits the monster and returns to you.
My usual pattern is White > Orange (for earplugs) > Red. Then aerial and ground combos until they run out. Normally I try to do primarily aerial while the monster is up and walking (to get the mount) then when it’s down I swap to primarily ground combos for more damage.
It's easy to forget after dozens of hours, hundreds, and especially thousands, just how much of a struggle this game can be to learn. Great run! MH do have s, but most of them are pretty tight, also depends on how you dodge either superman dive (the longest ), roll (standard dodge & distance), and hop (super short dodge distance, lance can do extended back hop tho). If you want a longer , I suggest using armor sets/deco with evade window skill to increase (I believe lv3+ is similar to standard dark souls ). But alone can be unreliable sometimes because some monsters have wide attacks/combo. To mitigate this you can use evade extender which extend your dodge distance. This two skills kinda bonkers for newcomers who like to dodge instead of block imho
On advantage of world is that these skills are easy to obtain with enough grinding Back here in the old world I could never slot those in unless I use narga armor
As a switch axe user, my dodges are extremely short distance, so I almost always run Evade Extender. Not only does it help me avoid attacks, but it helps me position myself better with hitting or catching up to monsters.
You can see the souls action rpg brainrot in full gear as this guy continuously stands in front of the charging monster and gets upset when it hits him
Anjanath is a really good wall for new players. If you can beat Anjanath, you can beat the rest of the game. The big pink t-rex cat has everything. He's tough, he's rough and he don't take no shit. Congratulations on beating him. I'd love more videos on your journey through World and Iceborne.
Great job! I've been playing MH for years and I'm always happy to see new hunters trying. I hope you will continue your journey and find the joy in the hunt as you get better gear and a better understanding of the great beasts you hunt. ❤❤❤
I love how this video perfectly encapsulates charge blade players. I feel like a lot of people think charge blade players are like galaxy brain, memorize pdfs of information, perfectly plan out your hunt type players. But in reality we all just keep thinking "BIG ATTACK TIME?!?!" over and over again and that fuels us enough to keep playing the weapon
This is the best time to be introduced to Monster Hunter because MH Wilds is coming out in 2025. You are actually very good for someone new with Charge Blade, one tip I have is to cancel your "big attack" with a "large attack" by doing back+Triangle during the big attack animation if you are too close to the monster or if you don't have full phials.
13:02 The i-frames are *REALLY* small on most dodges. There are armor skills that improve the distance of the dodge and the i-frame time though. The only dodge with a good amount of i-frames is the "Superman Dive" when you sheathe your weapon and run away from the monster, flinging yourself to the ground.
As a charge blade main is simultaneously immensely frustrating and satisfying. Luckily though as you play the game more you get to learn which attacks give you a large enough opening to slam a SAED into them which is always satisfying.
Love seeing people experience MH for the first time. It's like listening to Tool, where you're slightly sad knowing you'll never have that experience again, so seeing someone else have it is always a treat.
This man just started his first game, and already figured out SAED, guard point, and using the sliding slash to position for big hits. Man is a legend Great video!
Quick tip, if you get knocked down to the floor, and you see a monster about to attack… stay on the floor, you are immune to damage during this time. Then get up when the coast is clear
Maan, it always makes me so happy to see a new player enjoy the game! I rber when i started playing, the satisfaction after each successful hunt.. Hope you have a lot of fun playing thru! Also check out the dlc if you want, it sure is worth its price!
Welcome to the series! I sincerely hope it fills you with joy, and endless wonderful memories & experiences! Monster Hunter legit can give you THOUSANDS of hours and then some to just.... enjoy. I woyld without a doubt subscribe to watch more of your Monster Hunter journey! -Sincerely, a MH veteran who doot doots.
When you dodged the Anjanaths roar on one of your attempts I felt something and I’m like “this is the one” cuz you ever have those moments where you randomly do good/cool moments after a bunch of fails? Glad to see the glory of MH spread
I love how the insect glaive is such a cool concept that a lot of people just tend to pick it up because its a jumping slashing weapon, I went through half of MHW without changing my kinsect once cuz my head just said "you probably don't need to think about the bug, look at the cool moves tho"
Congratz on beating your first wall. No matter which game or monster, that's always the make or break moment for new players. You picked up on the core of the combat quite quickly. Positioning, exploiting opportunities, and risk management. Practice, patience, and basic buffs are all that you should need to succeed for quite a while. Also, i-frames are tight. 13 frames on the roll at 60fps means you can't i-frame through big or long attacks. Dodging while sprinting away from a monster gives you a diving dodge with a massive invincibility window. Happy hunting!
As someone who mains both IG and CB, the SAED is still one of the most satisfying feelings ever lol You'll never forget the first time you land a SAED perfectly, or do a sick guard point into one. Feels good man
I'm more than a decade in the series, and had 1k+ hours in MHW. It always bring me true joy to see new hunters conquering their walls. Happy hunting, fellow Hunter!
When this game launched, it wasn't my first monster hunter game, so I blazed through Anjanath with admittedly some difficulty, and I just knew, deep down "This is going to be the 1st filter monster isn't it?" I helped with dozens of Anjanath hunts the following week afterwards, out of the hundreds of requests for people. Watching everyone move as a community from one filter monster to the next was hilarious and heartwarming at the same time.
ngl, I swear half the words out of tree's mouth were "big attack," "big damage," and "Oh my god" in generally that order. Enjoyed the streams and the video!
Some useful information! Remember to check with the research dudes by the main gate in Astera. They have bounties you can complete for extra materials and you can unlock additional fast travel camps when you report their location in an expedition. You just need to head to its location and it will give you a critical bounty when you return to Astera. Another thing! Be sure to gather at unique locations that provide research points. A lot of these plants provide additional food items some of which can be useful! Happy hunting!! 😁😁 The MHW Wiki has loads of information about this stuff so it doesn't hurt to Google if something is confusing or not made clear in the game!
On the one hand, I'm sad to see you ditch the Insect Glaive, but I'm still glad you ended up loving the Charge Blade! Glad you're having fun :) new hunters always welcome Big BRAVO for not using defender set 👏 Basic tips: -Climbing works in relation to your camera angle. If you're trying to climb down but character goes up, turn camera -Instead of climbing down vines you can just run off the cliff. Its ok, theres no fall demage When monster is limping away you csn clutch to it to eather deal demage with temderising, blowing pods into its head to make it fall or just close distance and keep hitting -you can carve cut tails (you've cut off pukeis tail but didnt show its carving so im saying) - i-frames exist but dont work well with multihitting attacks, but you can roll thru some sideways moving beams. Skills like "evade window" make it easier Fun tip. When you drop off monster after mount you can do midair clutchclaw and imidiatelly go to tenderising... or ust drop off ready to to demage as now you dont have to run up to it :3
@@TREE3301 well than be carefull to not put on Defender armor or use guardiqn weapon. Its OP gear implemented to allow pro's to run thru World and get to the good hard Iceborn. For noobs its cancer as it prevents from learning the game and Iceborn hits them like shinkansen

This two skills kinda bonkers for newcomers who like to dodge instead of block imho
On advantage of world is that these skills are easy to obtain with enough grinding
Back here in the old world I could never slot those in unless I use narga armor
As a switch axe user, my dodges are extremely short distance, so I almost always run Evade Extender. Not only does it help me avoid attacks, but it helps me position myself better with hitting or catching up to monsters.
or you can just... get out of the way...
@@TheStoso2 NNNNNAAAAAAAAAAA that's boring
anja was well designed to be the first "wall" for people new to the franchise
It’s not a wall if you’re decent at games
@@rawdirt2022 You are going through every comment about the game's intentional design trying to inflate your ego. Chill out, man.
Nergigante says No 😂
Devil jho:?
Negigante says NO
Great job! I've been playing MH for years and I'm always happy to see new hunters trying. I hope you will continue your journey and find the joy in the hunt as you get better gear and a better understanding of the great beasts you hunt. ❤❤❤
It’s so crazy that I love this game so much that I’m watching the gameplay of the same story, same monsters or random new players on TH-cam.
F for the michi 😢
Yes! Would lo love to see more. Hope you finish the game and hopefully go to the expansion as well. New hunters are always welcome.
14:22 Perfectly executed - That's how Chargeblade suppose to be!!
Yup Anjanath is the first wall. You have i-frames when you roll but Anjanath's charge attack is multiple attacks.
As a charge blade main is simultaneously immensely frustrating and satisfying. Luckily though as you play the game more you get to learn which attacks give you a large enough opening to slam a SAED into them which is always satisfying.
Congrats on beating Anjanath! Hope to see more MHW from you in the future!
Love seeing people experience MH for the first time. It's like listening to Tool, where you're slightly sad knowing you'll never have that experience again, so seeing someone else have it is always a treat.
You made a video of it? Let’s go! Thanks for making this, the stream of it was so fun to watch, too!
This man just started his first game, and already figured out SAED, guard point, and using the sliding slash to position for big hits. Man is a legend
Great video!
Quick tip, if you get knocked down to the floor, and you see a monster about to attack… stay on the floor, you are immune to damage during this time. Then get up when the coast is clear
Yooo! It's always great to see newcomers to Monster Hunter :D
Welcome to the Guild and keep up the hunts!
Also the Anjanath struggle is real o.o"
Another joins the elite brotherhood of the charge blade. Welcome neophyte, we shall watch your career with great interest.
Man I love watching someone going through their first journey in MHW it's just so nostalgic.
Anjanath teaches people one important thing: Stop pressing buttons. MH isn't a hack 'n slash game.
@@saito853 meanwhile lance and gun lance main,
Block, stabby, stabby, Block, stabby, stabby.
I agree with so much of the comments, i also reacently picked up MHW and its been a blast.
Hope we can see some more from u, its so fun to watch
Congratz on beating your first wall. No matter which game or monster, that's always the make or break moment for new players.
You picked up on the core of the combat quite quickly. Positioning, exploiting opportunities, and risk management. Practice, patience, and basic buffs are all that you should need to succeed for quite a while.
Also, i-frames are tight. 13 frames on the roll at 60fps means you can't i-frame through big or long attacks. Dodging while sprinting away from a monster gives you a diving dodge with a massive invincibility window.
Happy hunting!
Welcome to the series! Love the "big attack time" fails, joy of MH 😂
as a Pokemon lover, the trauma of hearing that poison sound looool
You are such a cute noob! This reminds me of my first hours of this game that I love so much. Will enjoy watching you live the experience
This better be a series! Also try the hunting horn if you wanted to play with a musical hammer that buffs you ❤❤❤
I really love your excitement with the charge blade and it's really joyful to watch you. Tried this weapon, too and must say it's a fun way to play.
As someone who mains both IG and CB, the SAED is still one of the most satisfying feelings ever lol
You'll never forget the first time you land a SAED perfectly, or do a sick guard point into one. Feels good man
I would love to experience MHW for the first time again ❤
The classic Anjanath experience. We all went through it.
I'm more than a decade in the series, and had 1k+ hours in MHW.
It always bring me true joy to see new hunters conquering their walls.
Happy hunting, fellow Hunter!
When this game launched, it wasn't my first monster hunter game, so I blazed through Anjanath with admittedly some difficulty, and I just knew, deep down "This is going to be the 1st filter monster isn't it?"
I helped with dozens of Anjanath hunts the following week afterwards, out of the hundreds of requests for people. Watching everyone move as a community from one filter monster to the next was hilarious and heartwarming at the same time.
You have done well my friend, welcome to MH.
ngl, I swear half the words out of tree's mouth were "big attack," "big damage," and "Oh my god" in generally that order.
Enjoyed the streams and the video!
don't forget huge
Some useful information! Remember to check with the research dudes by the main gate in Astera. They have bounties you can complete for extra materials and you can unlock additional fast travel camps when you report their location in an expedition. You just need to head to its location and it will give you a critical bounty when you return to Astera.
Another thing! Be sure to gather at unique locations that provide research points. A lot of these plants provide additional food items some of which can be useful! Happy hunting!! 😁😁
The MHW Wiki has loads of information about this stuff so it doesn't hurt to Google if something is confusing or not made clear in the game!
It's always good to see a new hunter!!
May you hunt with honor and faint with glory!!! 💪
On the one hand, I'm sad to see you ditch the Insect Glaive, but I'm still glad you ended up loving the Charge Blade! (me and my main MonHun friend's main weapons, haha) That's probably what I like best about Monster Hunter, is how depending on the weapon you pick, the way you need to approach combat completely changes, haha.
Here’s interaction to boost this video because it’s always great to see people pick up mon hun.
Btw Bug and Baguette (insect Glaive) is my favorite weapon
Ohhhh boy. I'm beyond impressed he stayed with it. It's the most... hard-to-master weapons in the series. But when it is handled properly, oooooh boy.
Lovely video.
My best friend made a streaming series of him teaching me this game. I became obsessed and we convinced two other friends to try this game. Now I am teaching one of them this game. It really is interesting to watch new hunters learn this and grow in the game!
“I’ll choose either this or that.”
*Scrolls over the two least beginner friendly melee weapons on the roster*
Realll. When I was a beginner I first chose Insect Glaive and I’m so lucky I took to it like a duck to water it is so unfriendly.
It's funny watching you make all the same mistakes I made when I first played world. You're definitely in for a treat with the b-52 bomber.
That accidental Guard Point always fills so satisfying
At the time he filmed this, he was just discovering MH. Now, at the time I am watching this, I have just discovered his content. The circle is complete. We will all be the Masters now. 🗡️ 🛡️ 🪓
I love this, keep going, hope you enjoy the hunts
186 hours in as a charge blade main and I can't believe I never thought of using back-rolls to space myself for SAEDs.
impressed with how quickly you learned CB. could really see the "flow" of charge blade starting to come out during that last anjanath fight.
I've been playing this game for years and I only just beat the Iceborne story XD The charge blade is easily my favorite weapon, I'm happy to see you're enjoying it
Glad you're having fun :) new hunters always welcome
Big BRAVO for not using defender set 👏
Basic tips:
-Climbing works in relation to your camera angle. If you're trying to climb down but character goes up, turn camera
-Instead of climbing down vines you can just run off the cliff. Its ok, theres no fall demage
When monster is limping away you csn clutch to it to eather deal demage with temderising, blowing pods into its head to make it fall or just close distance and keep hitting
-you can carve cut tails (you've cut off pukeis tail but didnt show its carving so im saying)
- i-frames exist but dont work well with multihitting attacks, but you can roll thru some sideways moving beams. Skills like "evade window" make it easier
Fun tip. When you drop off monster after mount you can do midair clutchclaw and imidiatelly go to tenderising... or ust drop off ready to to demage as now you dont have to run up to it :3
I didn't have iceborne during this video, but now I do! Still trying to learn this clutch claw thing...
Started this game a few days ago and now its all i watch/play, i am addicted to this game that does nothing but kick my ass over and over
If you get really into the series you will "main" multiple weapons the longer you're into it. They're all very fun to play and have they're strengths and weaknesses. I'm a hunting horn main but I also love playing great sword, gunlance, charge blade, and the occasional hammer. Good luck and welcome in!
You're a real one for having enchanted love as your outro
We need more monster hunter videos this was SICK! ❤
anjanath was the first monster that stepped up the challenge and took me several attempts too. Such a fun fight!
So beautiful seeing people enjoy this game! Old and new players alike❤
I’m glad to know that I’m not alone in fumbling my way through my first Monster Hunter game (not including stories 2)
How dare you call my giant frog pukie baby ugly. He is a distinguished gentleman who is always happy to lend a helping hand to friends trying to kill tree controling scarecrow monsters.
that rush you felt when you finally killed anjanath, that is why we love to play
Dude this was so entertaining this is the first video of yours that ive seen im def subscribing I hope to see more mhw.
Rewatching this and remembering fondly the massive wall that Anjanath presented when first playing World. Good times
Damn it's actually really impressive how well you did with the Charge Blade from the start good job
Welcome to the best game franchise and the best game community that exists :)
to this day i still hate the handler for stealing my palicos hug from me -.-
