Your videos are so refreshing. No rules, no worries and do it how you want. The way gardening should be, thanks
I was fully invested in that braid story. I almost forgot we were on a garden tour, lol.
Lol that’s funny! I can really get off track sometime.
Your hair looks fantastic! So glad it was a good experience ❤
Yay for onions going to seed. The flowers are beautiful and remind me of lollipops.
Wonderful walkthrough! Thank you for sharing the progress so far!
Boy, have I missed your theme song, which means I’ve missed your chats and tours. Welcome back 😊
Thank you! Glad to be back!
Beautiful garden tour. Your plants look so healthy and happy. The blueberries are impressive! 🦋❤️🌹
Beet leaves are eatable. They taste like spinach. Stir fry or cook like greens with a small amount of water and season to taste.
I just found your channel. Such an inspiration; I live in a rowhome in 7b much like you, with a backyard a bit smaller than yours but I'm an end unit so i got a side year to play with. I've just been growing peppers and tomatoes in some raised beds, but this channel is a motivation to do more with a greenhouse, a better compost rig, and more plants grown over more of the year. Your garden is amazing; thank you so much for sharing it with me.
BIG SMILES! 😁☺😃
Your onions: My neighbor gave me a HUGE onion plant that flowers like that. It seems to stay green and viable all year. The flowers are pretty white pompoms!
Your garden and your locs look amazing! Thanks for sharing 🌻
Love to garden but due to an accident I have become homebound. You however have shown me what I can do in the safety of my own backyard. You have gotten me moving and outside. This will be my first year since the accident (5 years)getting out I'm so excited.(husband not so much he's labor) but hey if I'm happy he's happy. Thank you so much you've shown me I can do more then I thought I could. You have given me inspiration to get up get out and do something.thank you xo
Your tree collards may indeed go to seed and temps below 20s may kill them. At least that has been my experience.
Your garden is so abundant with goodies.
Ahahha I love it “she’s gonna help me bc she owes me money”
You’re a garden is beautiful
I’m in Zone 5b. We are getting the garden ready for the Cicada invasion here in Illinois.
I love how your garden is always green. We had a full fledged snow storm here today....LOL. Same ole Same Ole here. Love looking at the greenery there!
Hey! Thank you! O my goodness, you are still getting snow? I cannot imagine lol. Are you all at least close to no more snow? Happy to share!
Where are you located? I wish we got snow ❄️ Guess we’re never happy with whatever we have 😂
Snow?! You must be up north. I live to watch Asia’s garden. She’s awesome.
It's always a joy to watch your garden tours 😍 Thanks for sharing 💜
Miss seeing your videos
You should plant hibiscus where your lavender was. They like water.
Ok, thank you for that information!
The garden tour was beautiful
I’m amazed by this garden of yours. Overall so lush and I look forward to experiencing the same in the future growing seasons. Been slacking in preparation for the spring/summer due to university 😒
Keep glowing sis. I see you. God bless you
I am still waiting for my blueberries to do something. But I am going to get so many blackberries this year. I am excited. I had to cut back my raspberries last year so I am only getting a few this year but I have high hopes for it next year. I love watching your garden tours. I am also in Zone 7b. NE NC
Nice! I coming to get some of those cuttings! Girl I went and looked up where your town was and mentally prepared a trip thru there! Lol Loving the medicinals!!!!
Beautiful update! Everything is looking great!❤
Yellow Door Urban Homestead, This is great! I liked it and subscribed!
Thank you! I appreciate the support. Happy to have you!
I love chamomile but i suck at growing it, those blueberries are berrying!
We may never meet, but i want to THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
Awwww you’re welcome! I appreciate that very much!
Love ur videos !! Im also a big gardener and flower grower i just recently heard some growers talking about not growing ur foxglove in the same place as ur veggie and fruit crops due to the toxic traits it can leave in the soil amd drift over to ur veggies and fruits so now im digging up some lettuce i had planted in the same arwa i had foxglove ..dont know if any studies have shown proof but lord now im too scared to chance it lol
Our apple tree did not even do flowers for several years after planting. And then it took about 5 years until we got a really good crop of apples to eat : D
I love you my sister
I have waiting for your video!! It’s so nice to see how everything is growing. I don’t use instagram but I just may have to 😂 btw your hair is beautiful!!
Nice gatden
❤❤❤
I’m also in Virginia and zone 7b~! Hey girl, hey~!💗your channel~!
Loved the tour❤
Gardening looking great as always your going to love the fig I'm hooked on them have a blessed day
So glad to see you Asia, miss your videos. I love your garden ❤
Heyyyy Asia! Missed you🥰Thank you for the tour. This year I’m going to try real hard not to spray any pests. I want to try and create an ecosystem where it’ll take care of itself. I’ve seen lots of ladybugs and ladybug larvae in the garden this year. The lizards are coming out too. So yayyy for the garden protectors!💚🪴🦎🐞
Hey 👋🏾! You’re welcome! O nice, it’s so cool to know the garden can take care of itself.
What you have built is amazing ❤
I feel ur pain sis; devastating ‼️ Perhaps there’s a way local gardeners in ur area can donate some starts to you all? I wish I lived closer, so so sorry. In addition, contact the company for compensation; that’s the least they could do since y’all provide free advertising to them.
sorry, my comment was for a different video
Beautiful stuff growing and my onions are going to seed too from up and down temps and lots of rain 🎉
Thank you! Ahhhh o ok, my recent planting isn’t but the one older onions are. Are you planning to attempt to replant?
@@YellowDoorUrbanHomestead This my second year of gardening so I love the education I'm getting about how real food looks acts and grows. I'm just going to collect and save the seeds and YES replant.
Go head sis....1😂. ❤
❤great garden tour😊
So much oregano!
Ya'll hear these birds?
You are So inspirational and knowledgeable😊 Thank you so much for all the information😊
Awww thank you!
Perennial Lambs ears ground cover.
Love seeing your space! Thank you for giving us a tour AND sharing your wisdom
Would you show how you make your powders? Btw I love watching your channel~!💗
Beautiful
I think wild blackberry 20:02
Ok thank you!
My goodness, you live in a great climate. Here in central Illinois we started things like onions, leeks, potatoes in the ground, some lettuce and spinach. Herbs are greening up, and yes, comfrey. But they are all growing slowly. I admire how you are learning about bug infestation and not worrying. But here if we don't do something they take over. We are in the middle of sprayed corn and soybean fields so bugs come here. Plus I think our soil is not healthy. Sowbugs were a nightmare last summer eating the roots of plants. Love you. You and yours be blessed with many blessings. You are very encouraging!!😊
Hey Asia, the fuzzy leaf plant by your blueberry bushes that you said you don't know what it is....its called Lambs Ear, and it is beautiful when it flowers, the bees love it.💚
I so enjoy walking through your urban garden. I garden in Georgia zone 8A. Heads up, you may want to research Foxglove. The entire plant is toxic, including the roots. Be mindful where you are planting near your food. Again do your research. Peace and wellness!
Thank you! I appreciate the heads up. I saw that the plant was toxic on the package, but I hadn’t thought about planting it near food. Thanks again, I’ll look into this today!
🙋🏾♀️Great Day🌞 Miss you all Great to S🤎💚 you back. Plants look Good🙏🏾
Hi 👋🏾!! I missed you all too. I’m getting back into the groove this week. Thanks!!
Thanks so much for another great garden video. Always enjoy coming by and checking out your videos. Thanks so much for sharing today
Yay spring! 😁
Woohoo!
Looks like lambs ear 28:44
Thank you! That’s exactly what it is!
The plant next to the blueberries is called Lambs Ears. They feel just like lambs ears, too. The grow tall stalks from the plants that the bees absolutely love. A plant well worth keeping, in my opintion
And they will spread!! And take over!! I love to feel them. They are so soft.
❤❤
You are welcome, looks nice
Thanks Broke!!
Hey Asia, so what are you planning on doing with the st John's wort, wormwood, stinging nettle and mugwort? I'm growing those as well and I do plan on trying out the stinging nettle cooked, but not sure about the other stuff
Hi 👋🏾! I have two medicinal herb books I’m planning to reference once they begin to grow. I don’t have any specific uses right now but I feel like they can all be useful based on my limited knowledge right now.
Wow!! Awesome!!🎉❤
Thank you!!
your garden already looks like paradise! Just gettin in started here on higher elevation.
Yay! I love my Sunday morning coffee with Asia. Glad you had some time to film life is so busy isn’t it.
I was able to plant out my brassicas yesterday. Feels so good.
Also how is your vevor retractable hose holding up????
Awww thank you! I’m getting back on track!
Awesome! Happy to hear it.
I am still loving it! I’d like one more for the greenhouse. Really happy to have it!
I use a lot of the bags for my plants, like the one your tomato is in. Do you experience a lot of spiders? I do and I think it's because of the bags most of the time that were they are.
I do have spiders but they are all over my garden honestly.
hello Asia, life your channel. Curious to know how you are watering? Do you have a water system, water hose??
Hi 👋🏾! I use the hose or rain water mostly in summer and I hand water. During fall and winter I use the sprinkler.
I missed you! Welcome back, sweet lady 😊
I live on the Gulf Coast and my moringa, which are in pots, die every winter but always comes back when it warms up.
I like everyone else, was gonna message you but I figured life was just being life. Glad to see you and your garden looks so great. I still have to build my beds that I bought from Lowes a few weeks ago. So far I've just been planting things in my grow bags and some buckets that I've been having. I had bought a couple grape bareroot vines from Wal-Mart of Lowes and they are producing there first baby leaves. I had thought they were going to die at first then they bounced back. Same with some of the strawberries I bought. but im looking forward to see the video of how you grow strawberries from whole berries because I have some that i have saved and was thinking of popping them in the soil and letting them do the thing😅
Hey Asia. Can you say where you got your comfrey? I would love to use them for my knee.
Hi 👋🏾! I ordered the roots with a group of people in a seed swap. I’m not sure where they got them from. Sorry I couldn’t be more help!
Everything looks great, especially the potatoes path! 🎉🤩
Asia!!! I've been watching your old videos while waiting for a new one, lol. Thanks for posting, and happy growing 💚🌻
Awwww thank you! I’m back now! You’re welcome and thanks for watching!
I love all the birdsong in your garden. Garden's looking good 👍.
Asia please let me know where you got your comfrey from i can not find it anywhere
I needs seeds too!😩
I ordered the roots with a group of people in a seed swap. I’m honestly not sure where they ordered from. I’m sorry I couldn’t be more help.
Your garden is looking beautiful. Spring is really in the air, thanks for sharing.
Happy to see you again. We're in NOVA, hoping to plant containers on the deck next weekend.
What do you cover your blueberries with?
I use a piece of mesh or tulle.
How do you store your potatoes. I think I will have a good harvest this year. I don’t have a root cellar or anything. 21:47
I store mine in the laundry room once the cure. I don’t have a root cellar either.
Thank you so much.
Happy to see a video from you in my feed! That plant that spreads is Lambs Ear. I’m trying my hand at hollyhock so wish me luck that the rust avoids me. The foxglove in the flower beds are stunning!
We’ve been seeing cicadas already so our wildlife are happy to get extra snacks.
Nice to see your back
Thank you! Happy to be back!
Is the nasturtium bed greenhouse a vego garden bed? Is it bowing in the middle of the bed?
No it’s not a vego garden bed. It is but it doesn’t bother me too much. My ground isn’t level in most places.
@YellowDoorUrbanHomestead oh, Ok. I was just wondering because I am considering the vego garden beds, but want to see how they hold up for people. Thank you for clarifying.
@@boldenmywords o ok, I gotcha! The Vego garden beds are really nice and sturdy. I haven’t had any of them bow on me.
@@YellowDoorUrbanHomestead tfs!
Awwww, you got a fig?! How sweet!
Hi Asia! Onions are like carrots in that they are biennial. So, it's going to seed because it's in its second year! Yay for onion seeds! Your garden is looking so great!
Hi @theharvestmoonhippie😃 so once the onion seeds, can the onion still be used or should the onion plant be pulled. Thx!
@@carleanr4051 hi! I usually pull them. You can try to eat them but I find the texture to be undesirable!
@@theharvestmoonhippie okay. Thx!
What do you use for fertilizer
Throughout the season I mostly use fish emulsions and comfrey tea. At the start of the season I use compost, granulated fertilizer, bone meal and blood meal to get started.
I really love your garden and is inspiring. Love your hais❤
I’m so happy you’re back!!!
Awww thank you! I’m glad to be back!
Love your garden tours
Hello glad you back great video.
This was a great tour Sis. I’m trying to pack in as much produce and flowers as I can in small spaces this year. Today came close to removing my net that’s covering my greens but I decided to leave it alone. This year I’m sure I’ve broken many traditional garden rules and as a result my garden is thriving too. Do you have any tips to share for growing peaches? I’m in zone 8a…that sometimes act like zone 8b. 🤦🏾♀️
Spring has sprung ❤
Yay!!!
Asia you definitely have a green thumb. Your garden is awesome.
We missed you Asia! Welcome back. I'm so pumped for Spring gardening. Thank you for another lovely garden tour.
👋 👋 👋 👋 Asia ❤
Welcome back. Missed your videos while you were gone. But I do realize that you need some family time.😊

Thank you!
