You should have mentioned Veed is a paid service. Bummer.

But you can't move the captions higher or whever you want? That's a bummer with social media channels where you need to place them higher.

I am so tired about these kind of videos that makes you believe that everything is so nice, easy and works so well. This is absolutely not true. This subtitles solution, for a real work on videos longer than 1 or 2 minutes doesn't work. It takes hours.

Missing "Captions" and missing "MORE" in 2023 (th-cam.com/video/qe4RKnQnMm4/w-d-xo.html). Can't find it. How to add/install it?

OK. Found it in 2023 under CC -> ⚙ -> Speech-to-Text. But the result in german language is not usable. After 3 rounds of speech-training for windows. Can't find a reason to buy 2023 ...

I manually added subtitles to a Camtasia project and it was a LOT of work as Veed would only do a few minutes AND would not accept the file from Veed. I got it all done (2 hrs) BUT I rendered the video and the subtitles don't appear. They're are on the edited video but they go away after rendering. Your thoughts?

Hi John! Do you mean you exporting your video on Camtasia, or on VEED?

    • @johnstagl5651

No, I created the video in Camtasia, added subtitles manually, then rendered the video but there were no subtitles on the rendered version. After some research, I discovered I needed to change a setting to "burned in captions". That did the trick.

@@johnstagl5651 Thank you for your trick. I had the same problem.

@@johnstagl5651 You can export the captions from Camtasia by checking the box that says "Burn in captions" (but the viewer won't be able to toggle them on or off), or after creating them in Camtasia just export the .srt separately from the video file by going to the File/Export menu. Then when you upload your finished video to your platform (TH-cam, Vimeo, etc) you can also upload the captions separately. Hope that helps!
