      Thanks Oz. For screencasts it's not that necessary because they don't tend to be that big. It's mainly for long headshots especially when recorded in 4K.

  • @Graphicious
    @Graphicious 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    Great video! For the first tip, I think the way you show method 2 is a little too complex and too many steps. I am using the Custom Animation almost 100% of the time. I hardly use any other of the pre-made animations because the custom animation does everything. Simply place the playhead where you want your animation to finish, press Shift + A to add an animation and then scale your clip to where you want it. Done, in two steps. On my channel I encourage all Camtasia users to get accustomed to the Custom Animation. You will not use another animation again!

    Many thanks. Lots of good tips here. The group feature is a lifesaver once your video gets a bit detailed. It has a lot more options. You can rename the default name "Group N" to something more meaningful. You can also "zoom in" to the group so you can edit its content. The first time I did that (accidentally), I didn't understand what was going on. When I eventually figured it out, I couldn't figure out how to exit the group back to the whole timeline. Perhaps you could do a detailed tutorial just on the group feature.

    Might want to point out on the "ripple delete" that this will run into issues if you have multiple layers. Also earlier versions of Camtasia refer to this as "cut"... they switched the nomenclature to ripple delete to better align with other video editing software so it wasnt confusing.

    PS
    I think Leila could make a video "How to perform 'Take-Offs and Landings' of a 747 Jet" ... and make it interesting and informative and leave the viewer with the feeling " ... I could do that ... I would need a lot of practice ... but I think I could do that ... ".
