The ONLY thing this game seems to be missing is an endless PvE horde mode, where you defend until you die. You'd think it'd be a no brainer, considering how much effort they've put into the Tyranid swarms, but hey, it is what it is.

It looks fun but that class makes the least sense considering it's based on the reivers who fight more as scouts than in your face vanguard troops. Like their grappling hooks are meant for terrain traversal and sneaking to cover points.

While Thunder Hammer is like Power Sword, Power Fist and Lightning Claw where they are powered by power cells and is encased by a lethal crown of distruptive energy field. Not the same thing, one cut through matter and another one cut through your flesh and your soul.
Ok, so we've got Hormagaunts, Termagaunts, Warriors with melee and ranged variants, Zoenthropes, Lictors, Spore Mines, Raveners and Hive Tyrants, plus gargoyles flying overhead or in the background. Using the same engine World War Z is using to run so many Nids is pure genius and so authentic to how the Nids are in the lore. Well done, THQ Nordic.
The interact prompt for the vanguard to kneel in honor of a fallen guardsman is a lovely detail. Makes me wanna create a Salamander and be all chivalrous 🥹

I can't be the only one who thinks the new Bolt Pistol pattern is vastly superior to the classic ones? Having it be longer barreled and slimmer makes it feel more like a proper, chunky sci-fi handcannon, rather than the snub-nosed design we've had traditionally.
As a person who typically plays a healer role wherever possible, I agree. But seeing that there are medicae stims and medicae stim pickups makes me think that's not gonna happen. Sure would be cool, though!
Id love to see a tech marine class. Maybe it could have a pet servitor that not only shoots at enemies, but also takes a bit of the focus off of you if you're getting overwhelmed

13:38 this's the first time I see somebody actually use that position, you can fire on both swarm climbing points from there instead of limiting your line of fire to 1 point only when standing directly on top. This is quite standard in wwz but haven't seen it demonstrated in SM2 till now
Along side this game just looking beautiful... imagine posting gameplay and whoever is playing seems to ACTUALLY know how to play the game or attempt to properly play... finally. Why we get "gaming" journalists or other game based articles filled with people who appear to have never been in the vicinity of a game in their life is beyond me. This looks incredible.
So far the Bulwark, Assault and Tactical have my interest the most. Seems that the Heavy is something that will require a Bulwark Marine to fight alongside to get the most out of given how they seem to be the weakest melee fighter between the 6 classes next to Snipers. Vanguard has a good hit-and-run vibe to its playstyle I can dig as well.
The bulwark's shield is actually made of Space marine skin because it is so hard to pierce that it can be recycled into armour. Bit of lesser known lore.
I do really hope they add librarians, apothecaries, chaplains, and techmarines. Even if theyre added as paid DLC, it would add so much replayability to have 4 new classes on top of the ones that are already in the game. I wanna make a black templar chaplain and an iron hand techmarine. Maybe the techmarine could have a combat servitor as its ability and it would help you fight and also take some of the enemy's focus off of you. Librarians would obviously have some sort of psyker attack as their ability. Apothecary could heal you even when youre out of stims maybe the Chaplain could give some sort of buff to the others in the squad or replenish their armor of contempt like the apothecary would do for health
Super excited to play assault. I just hope they eventually change the drop slam marker a bit. It's distracting having it move around the screen constantly. Maybe just have a small dot and enable the full marker when the jump skill is activated. Other than that, IT'S HAMMER TIME!
One ability per class is very bad in my opinion, not to mention long cooldowns for those abilites. It doesn't make you feel like you are playing this specific class because of that, it's just a passive limitation to what you can equip and what not.
I swear they need to make a mmo warframe style warhammer game. Keep this style of gameplay but use warframes off mission style map and hubs. Instead of clans we would have our own second founding chapters. From lvl’s neophyte to captain you collect armors, relics, and weapons. Once at lvl 25 you gain the chance to start your own chapter and get a collection of npc’s if no one joins your chapter. Each first founding chapters have their own perks and cons. And which ever chapter you come from thats the part of the galaxy you start in. Story line can start at dark imperium. Or Horus heresy all the way up to lore now. That would be epic!!!
Even the snipers run at and melee their enemies because 40k.
I wish they showed some long range abilities. Snipers should have long range finisher kills y'know

there is planned post release content including new modes, so it's not off the tables just yet
Well there is co-op campaign and a dedicated PvE mode. I'd be surprised if there wasn't a wave mode/mission

Thunder Hammers are different from Daemon Hammers…the latter is only wielded by Grey Knights and some Ordo Malleus Inqusitors
The daemon hammer willl most def be playable like in the first game, it’s just the hammer counterpart for PVP

So far I only noticed 2 forms of animation during executions, Hope there's more than two per weapon type.

Yikes. Only 200 rounds on a Heavy Bolter for the Heavy. Even with double that amount, you're probably running out of ammo very quickly.
