Just gonna say I love the seeming change of pace that Sa'kan, the Salamander with one hand, is never shown or suggested to be lesser than his able peers. Even in a setting with ample available prosthesis, he's just out in the world doing his thing his way.
This occurs probably 8 hours max after he lost the arm back in Pariah Nexus, you can see his stump isn't even properly scabbed over. He'll probably get a prosthetic as soon as he gets some alone time with the nearest Techmarine, because having only one arm did significantly hinder his combat ability. Brutus had to reload for him, and he couldn't holster his bolter to draw his knife and go stabby, he had to throw it to Brutus again.
@@averhan I haven't been following this series, I didn't realize he only had one arm. I was like "yeah it looked cool I guess but why did they have to choreograph the tag-team reload?"
As dangerous as a one-armed Space Marine is, a two-armed Space Marine is automatically more so. There's no way he won't get a prosthesis fitted first thing after he's debriefed
To be entrusted with a geneseed of another chapter is a very rare occurrence, especially since Apothecaries are very protective of it, and would rather obliterate the seeds than handing them over to anyone other than their chapter. Being entrusted with the Geneseeds meant they are being entrusted with an entire future generations of Astartes or Space Marines.
Goes to show the difference between a salamander and an ultramarine. Sa'kan hesitated when faced with the option to save a soldier. But Brutus did not care for them, mission always comes first, there is no time for compassion.
The chunky sound design here is wonderful - especially for the Necrons - but even that pales when compared to the sheer mass of space marines and their armour in Space Marine 2. Finally, the big bois get the sound design they deserve! like very much the contrast and interaction between the Ultramarines and the Salamanders here too. This is a good lore series.
One could argue that they were killed before they could have suffered as much damage as he did. Or that the Ultramarines were killed by a swift lethal shot, while Sa'kan's injuries haven't been fatal. He's got the wounds and scars because he survived long enough to get them. It could be an example of the difference between the two versions of space marines. Perhaps Sa'kan isn't as good a close range fighter, thus sustaining more injuries over time. Or perhaps the Ultramarines weren't as good in close range as he is, thus they got killed quicker than Sa'kan would.
@@Bondrewd_The_Based The Ultramarine Sergeant was also an Assault Intercessor a close range melee specialist. Give Space Marine a Lieutenant to accompany them and they’ll rush head first into hail of lasers that can disintegrate their whole body. But cut off a Space Marine’s arm and have him accompany an Apothecary on some ludicrous mission, and they’ll take out an entire army of Necron warriors, a bunch of Destroyers and even a literal Deathmark. Writing 101
@@Mastercio Truth be told, a space marine is superior to a necron warrior and SOME other necron machines, since they react way faster and think far more tactically. A marine can use stealth, surprise attacks, ambushes, lay traps and is superior fighter in close quarters combat, and over the course of the campaign can actually destroy a big number of necron warriors, but yea, put them face to face, and the space marine is in trouble before closing in. Without Imperial Guard forces to fight the Necrons in attrition warfare, space marines would be ineffective against them, since their numbers are too low. Space marines do best when attacking the tomb world itself or the necron lord himself on the battlefield, while the Guard takes care of the bulk of the Necron forces. Edit 1: I should have mentioned that...yes, the necron warriors are way more accurate than being portrayed in this video...
@@alex20na 1 vs 1 they are superior to warriors, yes. But immortals are already match for them in terms of speed and react time, while being insanely more durable and having even stronger weapons than warrios. This is why in every of this shows the only thing they fight is either BADLY damaged(for example skorpekh destroyer here, normal one would just kill Brutus without any issue) or they just fight only warrior. If they throw here even single immortal among those warriors they would be done. I am not even mention stuff like Lychguards or Preatorians as those can easily fight chapter masters(like in world engine, single preatorian soloed chapter master and assault captain in 2 vs 1 while laughing at them entire time). Edit: I didnt saw your edit, i mean... yeah best way to fight necrons is just throw bodies while you try to deal with their tomb world... but even this is only if tomb world is not fully awakened... as when it is then imperial strategy is just run away and left planet alone... doesnt matter if you have space marines here or not.
I like the moment it seems like Sa'Kan might actually go through the portal to fight the Tomb Lord, cuz what I realised is - that's actually not what happened. He wasn't tempted - he just realised that the guy was trying to lure him away because he was about to attack them, and talking to distract him when the attack came. Which is why he then takes that shot so quickly.
Yup. Sa’kan was level headed enough to know exactly what the necron was trying to do, and what the best course of action would be in an instant. But i’d like to think he was thinking to himself, “i’ll get you later m’fer” lol
You'd expect the Necrons to be able to put up some kind of fight due to their numerical advantage but two random space marines just wreck shop on them. It makes you wonder just how low on the totem pole Necron soldiers actually are.
Necron troops are basically mindless automata that can be revive if not damaged enough. They're the basic line troops for the Necrons. A bigger troop called a Scorpex took the Salamander's arm and killed a sister of battle. A Death mark (sniper) killed an Ultramarine Lieutenant in single combat, and they haven't even met an Overlord (Necron Generals who can take on notable Chapter Masters).
Warriors are slow, mindless drones, they win purely because of numbers and having one shot weapons The real threat of the necrons are their immortals, deathmarks and other special units
The scene of Sa'Kan shutting up the Necron leader while an Ultra apothecary is casually pulling geneseeds nearby will never not be funny to me. (R.I.P. Brutus)
Fuck me that fighting was so goddamned smooth. What is somewhat surprising is that a salamander willingly abandoned normal people. Although he also saw the result of the experiments before, so didn't want to really chance it.
Hi there. When is it possible for us to watch the full and uncut and unedited version of Pariah Nexus 2 and Tithes? Oh and not to forget the follow up to what happened to Brother Captain Sa'kan after he escaped the Necrons with the salvaged gene seeds of fallen Ultramarines + brother captain Brutus.
I love how to the necrons, space marines taking down their soldiers with bolters must seem like chimps throwing rocks at computers. Like the bolter is one of the most devastating weapon in mass constant use. It's more of a self propelled rocket launcher. But to necrons, who are used to energy weapons, it can barely cut through their necrodermis
This is the clip of a show called The Tithes on Warhammer+. There you can find the rest of the episodes, along with the prequel show called Pariah Nexus).
OK, I remember when Space Marines would not chat about "hey, do you think we can take 5 of them?" NO, they would be like " WOW, only 5, this is morning workout!"
You may be cool, no matter your craft, but you will never be this cool of two space marines from different chapters fighting back to back against necrons, and the salamander is single handed
1) the necrons never conquered the galaxy, they fought a war of epic proportions for it and essentially lost it, 2) Necron soldiers, while deadly in a massed capacity, are not something Space Marines can't deal with, it is the higher ranking Necron constructs that give space marines actual cause for concern, do remember that there were 4 other space marines *dead* in that necron building and one more ended up joining at the end, spsce marines are NOT invincible and the tithes doesn't portray them as such.
Brutus who literally died: ... And I completely disagree with you. We here talk about Astartes which are THE ELITE, the Angels of Death. They should be tough and kill many enemies in seconds. They fight here usual freaking soldiers and still Brutus died, because of generation hit.
plot armour is the reason a chapter of marines can take out a fucking craftwolrd and the necron deathstar, if it weren't for plot armour space marines would get a third of the wins

Realistically it'll either be them, Tyranids, Chaos Gods or the Empire through plot armor

R.I.P Brother Brutus …His Geneseed won’t even live on
Just gonna say I love the seeming change of pace that Sa'kan, the Salamander with one hand, is never shown or suggested to be lesser than his able peers.
In no way is that the case, the Imperium has no need of cripples. He'll get a new arm as soon as his mission is done.
If there are any Space Marines that could be entrusted to do the right thing with another chapter's geneseeds, it would be a Salamander.
I hope Sa’kan gets a badass new robot arm. Dude deserves it doing all the stuff he did with a collapsed third lung and his second heart stopped.
He most definitely will. It’s standard practice to fit astartes lost limbs with prosthetics
The SpaceMarine are truly an incredible caste of warriors.
I know that Sakan has been through hell throughout these episodes but even the dead Ultramarines are less beat up than him.
@Bondrewd_The_Based it was meant to be a kind of smurf marine joke but fair point.
@@thephoenix5615 oh, my bad
@@Bondrewd_The_Based The Ultramarine Sergeant was also an Assault Intercessor a close range melee specialist. Is there a scene of Sa'kan physically and personally handing the geneseed back into the hands of an Ultramarine?

This was really cool! I also loved finally seeing how at least one of the geneseed glands are extracted
This is how you make Warhammer 40k
this is made by them so what do you expect lol
I wonder. Did Sa'kan ever retrieve any of his dead battle brothers geneseed when his ship crashed. 🤔
He doesn"r have the gear to crack open a power armor and surgicaly remove the organ, plus the ship was on fire.
He was going to try - he grabbed a gun-shaped tool like the apothecary had to remove the progenoid gland, but the ship was on fire and he was attacked by the necron-corrupted kreigsmen. By the time he finished dealing with them, the fire had spread too much, and his brothers’ geneseed was lost.

Writing 101
The lore capabilities of space marines are far greater than their in-game capabilities.
@@ChristopherThomas-fo5vq The lore capabilities of necrons are FAR greater than their in-game capabilities.
@@Mastercio The perils of being an npc faction, I'm afraid.
Bro Brutus’ death is so sad to me, he’s just like “don’t bother I’m gonna die, take the gene seed and get out”. Almost makes me cry man
not perfect, but definitely the best ive seen cinematic 40k done right, MORE OF THIS
Ill take it! make seasons of this and Just call it Warhammer 40k. Each episode starts with the battle prayer if the emperor...done. Where is it??????
This guy did not make this.
You'd expect the Necrons to be able to put up some kind of fight due to their numerical advantage but two random space marines just wreck shop on them. It makes you wonder just how low on the totem pole Necron soldiers actually are.
I mean I'm no expert but they're clearly all beep boop basic robots run/controled by that one guy who gets mad his monologue got cut short.
@@randomlygeneratedname That is a fair characterization of Necron soldiers.
They're warriors. They're not particularly agile, and they don't have much personal initiative.
Warriors are slow, mindless drones, they win purely because of numbers and having one shot weapons
The real threat of the necrons are their immortals, deathmarks and other special units
Best depiction of both space marines' chapters so far
The scene of Sa'Kan shutting up the Necron leader while an Ultra apothecary is casually pulling geneseeds nearby will never not be funny to me. (R.I.P. Brutus)
Okay THIS needs to be made into a full 3 hour feature film!
Just getting into 40k and I'm loving this
Fuck me that fighting was so goddamned smooth.
I’m completely clueless to this whole game and all it’s variants but these clips are pretty awesome !

My two favourite space marine chapters working toghether... it's simply delicious
INSANE!
I love it when they call each other cousin and exchange battle cries
I love how to the necrons, space marines taking down their soldiers with bolters must seem like chimps throwing rocks at computers.
Like the bolter is one of the most devastating weapon in mass constant use. It's more of a self propelled rocket launcher. But to necrons, who are used to energy weapons, it can barely cut through their necrodermis
Seeing a Salamander take serious, makes me so hard.
Thank you for uploading this 💙
Even though they know no fear.. I bet they were clenching their butt cheeks when walking down those necron corridors shits scary af
The trust it took to entrust his brothers' geneseed to a marine from another chapter. Sa'Kan is such a chad 💔

OK, I remember when Space Marines would not chat about "hey, do you think we can take 5 of them?"
NO, they would be like " WOW, only 5, this is morning workout!"
Now that first fight was a realistic representation of how well Space Marines fight.
I still miss tho the agility and speed of the Astartes...
You may be cool, no matter your craft, but you will never be this cool of two space marines from different chapters fighting back to back against necrons, and the salamander is single handed
some serious storm trooper aim on those necrons, but i get it. the plot needs to happen ;D
Why are the Necrons like the Daleks.
Creatures who have conquered the galaxy but can't hit two space marines??
Oh yes plot armour.
Well, 60 million years asleep and anyone would be a little groggy
1) the necrons never conquered the galaxy, they fought a war of epic proportions for it and essentially lost it, 2) Necron soldiers, while deadly in a massed capacity, are not something Space Marines can't deal with, it is the higher ranking Necron constructs that give space marines actual cause for concern, do remember that there were 4 other space marines *dead* in that necron building and one more ended up joining at the end, spsce marines are NOT invincible and the tithes doesn't portray them as such.
Brutus who literally died:
...
