"It's not often someone gets a tattoo of something"- John Favreau 2018
JugaJuga14 😂😂😂
fuck that's funny
Carl Casper*
Good one!
Certainly will be his “In Memoriam” quote, when that sad sad day comes.
If you don’t have homemade Jon Favreau, then store bought is fine. No, just kidding, this is Babish, we’re making that Jon Favreau from scratch.
Take two seeds of Jon Favreau Sr., plant them in the soil of Mother Earth, water them daily with the tears of a phoenix and within the span of a medium-ish aeon you should have a fully grown Jon Favreau.
Combine 3 parts father Favreau to 4 parts mother Favreau and mix slowly. Put in the oven at 350• for about 9 months, and there you go.
First off, you want to take a plate of beignets, add a dash of Christmas spirit, lay it all on a cuban loaf, then we break out the Ouija board...
5:43 can we just respect that Babish did a fistbump and a well executed handshake one after the other.
That cured my anxiety
That takes years of practice
No awkwardness at all.
OloneyZzz your complimenting him for doing a normal human thing properly. Ok.
@@MW2isthebest123 yeah, you got a problem with that?
Gordon Ramsay version: It's raw!
Carl Casper Version: It's molten!

Bet you never thought when making the first episode that you would be cooking with Jon Favreau
You bet right

Aidan You know the same thing happened to me... guys got some screws loose. Cooks a mean stew though.
You mean Chef Carl Casper
Binging with Babish that is so cool dude congrats😄
Thumbs up for more celebrity appearances on our favorite youtube cooking channel!
I can't up-vote this enough.
this is so awesome. i wonder if they reached out to him or he reached out to them.
My God! Congratulations Babish! I know how much you love Favreau.
Greetings from México man.
Keep Rocking and cooking!!

"Just like you're not Oliver Babish"
"I'm not?"
Andrew: **confused screaming**
That’s freaaakkyy. When I read this the video said it ;-;
He sounded so sad when he said “I’m not?”
Oliver Babish is the food critic in the movie Chef. *mind blown*
@@TheAndersDanilet Oliver Babish is actually the White House Consul from West Wing, Ramsey Michel is the name of the critic from Chef. Both are played by Oliver Platt, so it's easy to confuse the two.
"Use your nearest John Favreau..."
I don't have one of those, where would I go to pick one up?
I get a kick out of people taking instructions too literally
well ShadowWhelp, that's good question. it turns out, it's easy. just start a youtube channel and achieve ridiculous amounts of success and start naming your hero's by name and voila! they're on your show.
Stark tower man ask for happy
Store bought is just fine.

how nice is Jon Favreau. they are doing a TV show and he allowed you to release this video a year earlier. :)
Charlolooo Z seriously!
Who’s Jon? Did you mean carl

While watching the show, anyone else notice Roy Choi being a bit peeved by Babish?
@@akash1playboy Roy seems a bit peeved all the time in the show
Now I know what John meant by: "Let's get this on *your camera."
It's cause he was filming his own Netflix show with you at the same time.... dang good job Andrew
When my girlfriend and I watched the episode we were both so excited he was on the show as we're huge fans of everyone involved! I was secretly hoping they'd have Babish on completely forgetting that he had this episode and had already met Jon and Roy. I'm so psyched that he's made this kind of appearance. Truly making Big Moves™ :)
Whats the name of the netflix show?
Hendri Nel it's just called The Chef Show. Features Jon and Roy going around the country and cooking food with tons of different friends and chefs. It's really awesome, well worth a watch :)
Andrew so smoothly transitioned from a fist pound to a handshake without screwing either up
for real. i noticed that right away too
Cause that’s soo hard to do
Thought the same thing.. Mad skills!!
Poods has someone to learn from now
actually it harder than you might think
I'm so happy for Andrew. Favs giving him that carving fork probably means the world to him. No way that 2 years ago he would have, even in his wildest dreams, thought of getting that fork or even meeting Favreau. Not only is it a fantastic prop, but a symbol of how far he's come and how successful this whole endeavor has been. Cheers!
Lol
"It's not often that someone has a tattoo of something."

Don't you do it!

Andrew: **visible confusion**
Back in the Pasta Aglio e olio episode: "The only think it's missing was Jon Favreau for me to make sexy eyes at"
Now you have Jon Favreau to make sexy eyes at, Babish. Watching you grow has been amazing.
WitchHatsFTW THIS IS PURE AND GOOD I LOVE THIS!
I don't know about pure, but that's very true
ugh so true
you've finally peaked your dreams babish good job
One dream attained. In order to attain complete serenity, cameos by Kelsey Grammar, Stanley Tucci, and Tony Shalhoub must be arranged. The circle of food life will then be complete.
Let me tell you something, he hasn't even begun to peak. And when he does peak, you'll know. Because he's gonna peak so hard that everybody in Philadelphia's gonna feel it.
He hasn't even begun to peak. When he peaks, we'll know
Having Kelsey Grammar on the show would be amazing.
It's a soft peak :P

It's crazy that you blew up just a few years after this comment, now you're easily one of the most popular cooking channels on TH-cam
Jon Favreau seems like the chillest guy which is weird considering Andrew is right there
Yeah, and let's not forget this is also the guy who kicked off Marvel Cinematic Universe directing Iron Man.
He legit is. I got the pleasure of filming with him once and he's so soft spoken and friendly and lovely even to the "nobodies" on set (of which I was one). An excellent director and all around great guy.
I want to see you and gordon ramsay throw insults over a wellington next
Lol
That ending made me very happy.
I'm adding this video to my Favreauts..
caffeineadvocate how proud were you...I hope it was really really proud.
HE ACTUALLY DID IT!!! THE ABSOLUTE MADMAN
love how "like a baby" is his go to simile for dropping something
I know Favreau is an actor and a director, but having him asking Andrew what is a Babish style walk off is actually the best part of this video.
I love how he brings in JON FAVREAU AND STILL CUTS OUT THE UPPER PART OF HIS FACE... I dunno why... I just love it
It’s a stylistic choice! I also really like it
he just bought Monica her own restaurant

I sincerely hope that Jon had the time to recreate “pasta seduction” but have Jon Favreau in place of Scarlett Johansson and you make Pasta Aglio e Olio for him. Cuz that would be amazing.
he already made that dish but that would be funny to make it into a scene
Pepe Le Pew it would be soooooo amazing.
Did anyone else come here because of the chef show?
"use you nearest Jon Favreu" I love that senstence so much
“Have you seen chef?”
The fact that this isnt pinned to the top makes me realize that Frank's era truly has come to an end.....and that makes me sad.
well you have officially made it man congrats
Of course I had to rewatch this after seeing Favreau and Choi’s “The Chef Show” on Netflix.
I'm watching this on Netflix rn!!! Amazing!!
"Use your nearest Jon Favreau"
who? You were using Carl Casper.
The only tragedy about Chef, was the fact that it wasn't more popular. Its a beautiful film, and its actually the reason I started watching BwB. The pasta aglio e olio episode was my first foray with the man who claims the Babish title, and its been a staple in my subscriptions ever since. :)
Huge Jon Favreau fan, and its truly amazing that you got the chance to meet him! :) Congratulations on the carving fork! That's pretty dang awesome!
Chef cost $11 million to make, and earned about $44 million worldwide. So it was a success, but yes, more people should have seen it.
I recommend Chef to pretty much everyone I know. It has to be the BEST "insider view" of kitchen life I've seen.
Thankfully I haven't been in food service for a loooooong time, but I do miss the after-closing hanging out with restaurant co-workers.
5:44 I cannot express how impressed I am with the flawless execution of a fist bump straight into a handshake. You’re a legend Babby
I stumbled upon this just now and had to check the date because everyone was standing so close
now this is a good and wholesome internet. Damn I kept smiling while watching this.
Babish finally got his own Jon Favreau.
Cant believe he bought a waffle iron first!
There was a solid year and a half at my school where a senior got almost every underclassman obsessed with Chef. He even went as far as to scrape together around $200 dollars so he could take out a 2 page spread in the year book just to dedicate it to Chef. He’d love this video.
I had a John Favreau around here somewhere I’m sure of it. “MOOOOOOM HAVE YOU SEEN MY JOHN FAVREAU...WHADDA YA MEAN YOU GOT A BRADLEY COOPER”
Criminally underrated comment. 🤣🤣🤣
From every interview I've seen of Jon, he just seems a super stand-up guy. And the fact he gave you that fork - how good was that!
Andrew Burke on top of that, he is actually accomplished cook/pitmaster. He knows his way around the kitchen, and can lecture you about the nuances of BBQ all day long.
wow this is so crazy! good for you babish
This is why i was getting deja vu a lot while watching The Chef Show this morning
watching this scene on the chef show after seeing it here was amazing. the chemistry between you 3 is great and i would love to see more of it
Don't let the great guests and video distract you from the fact that this is the first time Andrew's head is in the thumbnail
Luke Leonard 6th time
*look ma..we made it.*
Started from the bottom now we're taking a frozen cylinder of ganache and setting it in the center of the ramekin so that the outside cooks fully but the inside becomes molten.
But... Are you happy?
Seeing that gift at the end was so incredible, so happy for you Babish! Here’s to all the success in the future :)
I didn’t know I had missed this video until I watch the chef show this morning so I came back to watch. Keep up the good work!

Just watched this episode on The Chef Show. Freaking solid
This was perfect. I smiled so hard when the molten center oozed onto the plate. Great job guys!
My name C H E F
I love Chef. I'm so glad you brought Jon Favreau.
um thats carl... who s jon?
Muhammad Jusuf Faturrahman Jon played Carl and is the director
No? That's Carl, from the movie Chef. His name isn't Jon.
wwho?
Bob Tillich Jon Favreau is the director of Chef and played Carl
Can I just say... I've researched this a few times. And the fact that Babish is so excited to get the "noodle curler" (bare with me, I'm a law student, not a chef) gets me teary every time
I feel ya on this. Awesome gestures received with sincere appreciation restore my faith humanity.
I’ve seen the fork in so many of your videos and I finally got around to seeing this one. I will admit I got a little tears when I saw him holding the fork giving it to you.
but did you make sexy eyes at Jon Favreau?
He wasn't making Aglio e Olio, so no sexy eyes needed.
Runner in the dark nah to Carl
I was once going to make these for my room mates and their friends. I get back from classes to find one of said room mates with a spoon and an empty sheet pan passed out on the couch. He had eaten 3 lbs of ganache in one sitting.
He got what was coming to him, though. After waking up from his food coma he was too sick to have the lasagna I'd made for dinner and had to pound laxatives for the next two days.
D Hawthorne HAHAHAHA
Is it sad that I can relate to this? Lol... I'd save room for the lasagna though.
I'm thinking some of the devils lettuce was involved here, no sane human can handle 3lbs of that stuff knowing they are destroying the dreams of lava cakes
I would love to be your roommate if your cooking those goods
Dude I have to ask: How fucking stoned was your room mate at that time?
Hi Babish! I love watching your videos but, sadly, I usually don't have the resources to recreate any of them. After seeing this one I realized I could do it! It took two years to find the right excuse, but I finally made chocolate lava cakes for my brother's birthday this year. Absolutely delicious. Your video made my mom laugh too, so that was a gift in itself. Thank you for helping me to make my family so happy.
I may be a bit late but Chef is now my fav movie
This video makes me so happy for babish. He is always talking about that movie and to have them on AND joke around with them. Good for you man!
AND be given the fork from the movie!
And so it has come full circle.
Im trying to recreate this recipe as accurate as possible but I can't find any Favreau in my kitchen or at the store to help melt the chocolate and I don't want to use a rubber spatula. Tips?
Favreaus can be found in the middle of a forest, under the moonless sky of a night of the full moon. Good luck!
Maybe you can make him from scratch. First, get some kosher salt....
These sets of videos introduced me to the absolute brilliance that is Chef. Shared with with my partner and he is itching to put some of these videos to good use. Just wanted to say thanks for the inspiration.

I just watched the “Chef Show” episode and found myself here. Just wanted to stop by and say that the layers of respect on that episode outweighed any culinary knowledge conveyed, though there was lots of it. True gentlemen, all of you.
