I petition that Babish should get a cameo in some scene that has to do with food in season 3!
I'm actually surprised he didn't mention that the cookies in the tube looked like a lightsaber. That was literally my first thought when I saw the scene.
Like, I genuinely thought they were going for a "it's like poetry, it rhymes" kinda thing. Luke's first force pull was his saber on Hoth. Rey's first force pull was the same saber on Starkiller Base. And Grogu's first force pull was these cookies that resemble the same lightsaber yet again.
But maybe I was reading too deep into it after all hahaha.
i have to say i legitimately appreciate that Jon took into consideration the cost of the cookies and the fact that normal working class people are going to be making these for their children.
This was the first of your Binging recipes I tried out on my own! What a fun time. It gave me an even bigger appreciation of what you do (if that’s even possible). Thanks for this!
Since We Bare Bears ended. Can you do a “We Bare Bears” Food Special Episode?

For true authenticity, you should only throw up after eating too many of those and being the passenger in a high-speed TIE fighter dogfight
have you seen the movie Chef?
The fact that the animated credits are concepts make so much more sense
5:34 the tray smacking against the table synced with the music lol
Everybody forgets that Jon Favreau was the doctor and directed elf
He also directed Elf
he directed it too!,
And that Paul Rudd threw up on him in I Love You Man
He directed it...
I think he wrote the screenplay for Elf
"Do not try to do this without a scale"
"I'm weigh out of my depth here"
In my mind the pun was totally intended.
I thought the same thing !!!
same
jon: also you can't eat a lot of macarons, they're very rich
me: *embarrassedmargesimpson.jpeg* yes you can
Seeing these two friends geeking out over each other's shows is so pure and heartwarming
5:26 Real missed opportunity to say "This being my first maca-run." Especially after that home run with "maca-wrong."
I’d argue that a macaron without filling is like a helmet without Mando but who am I
"but who am I?" --- I'm not sure... Jean Valjean?
So, Jango after Mace got to him? :D
Lol, even Jon Favreau refers to the child as "Baby Yoda!"
Jon’s comments that he made at the end literally made me tear up. He’s just incredible :)
Jon Favreau called him Baby Yoda, he is one of us
They probably filmed this before they revealed his name but still adorable
Ikr? He could’ve called him “the Child” or such, but chose “baby yoda” cause it’s the fan name and easier to say. Besides for all those who don’t watch the show, you know exactly who he’s talking about
He’s the creator. You are one of him
ONE OF US, ONE OF US
Shouldn’t we call him Grogu now? You know cuz that’s like....his name.
Hey comments section and Babish, have a delightful December and a happy new year.
you as well kind sir
I love how even Jon is calling the Child "Baby Yoda". Wondering if he was just going along with Babish or if they actually refer to it as Baby Yoda on set.
It's interesting -- I'm pretty sure Disney PR coaches everyone in production to NOT call it Baby Yoda. The Child is OK, the Asset is OK. Even Dave Filoni was calling it Yoda baby. Favreau just doesn't give a f
It was pre Gorgu reveal, so Baby Yoda is the zeitgeist LOL
That segment was likely recorded before the episode with Ahsoka aired, as they were referring to it as "just last episode" and Jon Favreau is a master at avoiding spoilers.
"Do not attempt to make this recipe without a scale, I am weigh out of my depth here."
Boo
Seeing this recipe along with Jon’s cameo has me waving my hands in the air like Grogu when Mando’s flying
As soon as I saw these on screen I was like - “babish is 100% doing this”
Imagine wearing your boss's face on your t-shirt during a zoom interview.
Babish, you better get ready for the "hey we need some kind of TV chef for the next Marvel movie, you wanna come over for auditions?" phone call
Adam Ragusea is constantly yelling "NOOOOOO!!!!" at this video.
Long live the empire!

You should make the 7 layer chocolate cake on Christmas from Everybody Hates Chris episode, “Everybody Hates Kris”
Just watching the two of them nerd out on each other is absolute beauty. There's a wonderful thing about not losing the childish fun and wonder in a subject.
1:53 Jon Favreau calling Grogu "Baby Yoda" makes the name canon to me... I'm still calling him Baby Yoda

Yeeeeeees he deserves all the credit
I can hear someone screaming "NNNO!!" in the distance. Don't know who it is.
Just wanted to comment the same😂
I traced its location to Macon, Georgia
Serious pipes on him to be heard all the way from MACON, GEORGIA, THE TOWN WHERE HE LIVES
Underrated comment
Jon is literally everybody’s favorite cool Uncle 😂
I expected you to say "Like a Mando without a lorian."
I like how you switched from your “workhorse” to your “duotone” submariner in this episode! It really compliments the blue macarons! As always great episode, greetings from Hamburg, Germany
Wow you have an eye for detail, I had to just now go back and look.
I am so “Happy” to see Jon Favreau in one of Andrew’s videos
Edit: this pun was unintended at first.
Liar
This isn’t the first episode that Jon has been in :)
I know but i didn’t comment on that one
I love seeing Babish & Jon together because I know how much Favreau inspired Babish. The fact that they’re making macaroons (which is something I’ve always loved looking at & wanted but have never gotten the chance to eat) along with it being associated with Baby Yoda, this just completes my heart. Thank you. This truly is a gift during these difficult times 💚
I love how he is learning and teaching at the same time.
That is 100% why I love BwB. Cooking is a learning process for everyone, even the most experienced chefs learn things
When 2020 is over, make any food that appeared in any 2020 movie (ex. Dr. Robotnik’s Latte)
Silly Babish - that's not Jon Favreau. That's Chef Carl Casper.
I really want Carl Casper’s Cubano sandwich right now
No, that's George Lucas the Sequel
theres not enough comments about this
I think you mean Happy.

Disney is charging 50 dollars for a dozen cookies like these
Yep.
Might as well make em at home.
It’s Disney, $50 is the STARTING price for everything
Tbf, French Macarons are always silly expensive. Maybe not $50 for a dozen, but I’ve definitely paid at least between $2-$5 if not a bit more for a single cookie from a grocery store bakery to a true French patisserie.
I mean macarons are stupidly expensive no matter what
