      Road to day 12. I'm so happy I did 1 DU👏🏽 I need to master those basic first & It seems DU don't love me😕 I believe practice is the key. Never give up! even sometimes I am frustrated already. The wip of the rope, öuch! "No Pain, No Gain"

    Hey JRD. I'm a 5'11 90kg dude who was able to do 100 fast skips (single leg bounce with swing on the other leg) yesterday. Definitelty feels good and makes me feel more mobile!

    Great vid, thanks guys. I agree, it is all about practice. Yesterday I started learning the crossover/criss cross and could only do one. I did some more this morning and can now do three in a row. Once perfected I'm going to go onto double unders.

    As someone whos been doing doubles for a while this was a great reminder on just how hard it was to learn at the beginning i had a lot of flailing and knee bend. I also love how you can see the effects of practice in one video as you guys come off the ground for a double under as high as he does for regular bounce. Humbling video! :) ps thanks for introducing me to this artist really chill music!

    The is the best detailed double under video you guys have done so far. I've been following your routines for awhile and still haven't successfully nailed the double unders yet. I've got the mummy kicks, and diagonal shuffle down though. 😁😎😀

    Can I suggest doing a video on workout aftercare, what’s best to do to sooth the aching muscles after jumping rope?

    Hey dudes thanks for the video. I STILL haven’t been able to do double unders even after more than a year of jumping (I can do almost all other basic skills like side swipes, Criss Cross, different skips, etc). And I’ve tried tips from all sorts of DU tutorials. Hopefully this tutorial will put a new spin on things 👍

      Also work on singles speed. Get used to moving that rope fast then the transition to doubles won't be so drastic and you can focus on the jump.

    OK, cool, I was getting discouraged because I just could not do one, but I picked up two great nuggets in this video: That thing about pulling the rope around once really hard and letting it circle through twice instead of trying to do two separate pulls makes a lot of sense., Also, I've always been trying to do it from the start, but the thing about starting with regular jumping and then throwing in a double seems like it would help a lot. OK, I'll go try this now. Thanks!

    • @cswalker21
      @cswalker21 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did it! Thank you Jump Rope Dudes! After weeks of trying and getting mad at myself thinking I would never do a double under, I watched your video and, voila, did one today. The tips worked! Thank you so much. I still have to practice a lot to be able to do them continuously (I'm not a very coordinated person) but finally I feel I'm well on my way. Thanks for the great video.

    I've been practising this day in day out for 2 weeks and it's just not clicking, I'm jump high enough but not moving my wrists quick enough. Like I feel I pressured to do then as everyone else can. I can do the criss cross, boxer skip , side swipe etc all very well but this doesn't seem to click,with me

    • @aliweber3906
      @aliweber3906 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Me too man, I can do the crisis cross, boxer skip, run-in place, sideswiped... eventually I did a single double under(i was happy) and did it again and again, but when I recorded my self It was in a very crappy form so I am now trying to relearn the double under and it is difficult, it has been almost a week now and all that remain is a long red stripe on my back. it is discouraging at times but keep going, you will master it in a few weeks time if you haven't already. And I have a question for you, is double under that important of a skill?

    • @christopherjames6060
      @christopherjames6060 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ali Weber cheers. I’ll look into. I injured my back as I got advised to shorten my rope but I’ve got the right length now so I can up the pace a bit more. It’s hard work isn’t it

      Sam - keeping your toes pointed to the ground at all times can cause shin splints for some... use caution.. unless you're a competitive skipper, stay comfortable.
