Whoever is reading this: it gets easier 😂 Edit: I now use it as a warm up before ALL my exercises. I cannot even jog without doing this first. It’s the best warmup.
Day 1- Saw the grim reaper at 8mins. Day 3- Finished the workout and saw the grim reaper again at the end. Day 4- Finished it but no grim reaper. Day 6- It's not a problem anymore 🎉 Day 8- Going strong 🔥 I think I can move on to something else now. But I'll keep coming back to this every three days. Whoever sees this, good luck. You can do this if I can. Kinda miss the grim reaper.
I just did the workout for the first time and I can assure you that the Grim Reaper is with me now and doing well. He told me to tell you that he sends his love and that you have become really great at jumping rope.
dead^^ I’m looking to get into a JumpRope routine since I’ve been out of working out for years now. I use to be an athlete in school and once you know what it feels like to be in shape…this is horrible. I’m hoping this will whip me into shape!
I remember I was barely able to keep up for the first 5-minutes. After many months of hard work and training, I’m finally able to say that this video is now my warm-up before my training sessions 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Alexis D 🤣🤣🤣🤣 it looks easy but it’s not congratulation keep doing it I’m on day one I just started it today I actually did it twice uuugghhh but very much worth it
Day 1 : can’t make it through the whole exercise, stopped at 9 mins. Day 2 : finished the whole exercise , but need more rest during exercise Day 3 : finished the whole exercise and felt great. Day 4-10 : repeated day 3 Day 11-14 : finished the exercise twice a day. My cardio is getting better and better. Thanks to this video.
@@noubou8759 It only depends on your heart rate. A beginner who's heart is racing fast during the whole exercise will burn more calories than someone who's more advanced and can easily complete this workout without running out of breath.
I know I commented this on another video but I have to share it here specifically as well. My friend sent me a 1lb jumprope for Christmas (I've been mediocre at best with my lightweight jumprope, only using it for crossFit workouts and definitely not able to do double unders in said workouts). I decided instead of my usual jog for cardio to unbox that heavy rope and try this workout. I can't believe what an awesome full body workout this was! Done this workout twice now and am amazed at how quick it was to adapt to the heavy rope and also can't believe how sore my triceps feel after this! I can confidently say I'm pumped to roll into 2023 and Do The Thing!
As a gym teacher, I have been doing this workout with my class every other week or so since the pandemic started. It is THE best online workout out there by far (and I've looked up about 30 million of them). The time on the screen, the basic exercises, and the combo between cardio and strength exercises is awesome. Some of these other workouts use tricky exercises and it takes too long to figure them out and the kids miss out on workout time. There are no excuses with this one. Everyone gets a great workout!!
@@lnh799 Jump roping can make your legs better as there is a lot of focus on your legs, but you will also plateau on leg size if you don't add weight. The best and only constant way to increase leg mass is through weight training. Jump rope is a form of cardio, so it can help you lose weight if it's your preferred method of cardio and burning calories, but at the end of the day it comes down to calories in calories out. Slowly make your jump rope sessions longer and more intense as you progress more and more over time, couple that with a small calorie deficit, or even just not snacking as much if you don't want to count calories, and you should notice a difference over time. Remember, it's a marathon, not a race. Dropping weight drastically in a short period is not healthy for you, and exercising constantly will give you good healthy habits. Hope you're still keeping at it.
Day 1: Managed to do 5 minutes only. Day 2: Had to take a 2 minute break in between, but completed the whole exercise. Day 3. Did the whole exercise without stopping in between. Day 4: My body’s in pain, but I refuse to give up. This workout is getting much easier. Day 5: I woke up looking forward to doing this workout today. Hardly any pain. Got my husband to join in too! Day 6: I can see some results! Day 7: A long day at work and I ate too much pizza :( I still did this workout even though I was exhausted. Day 8: Did this workout first thing in the morning. I’ve noticed this workout makes me tired at first and then I have a lot of energy throughout the day! I did this workout again. Day 9: Did this workout an hour after eating and it was very tiring. I find it’s easier when I do it in the morning before eating any meals. Day 10: this workout alongside a 10 minutes abs workout are giving me some really good results. I eat healthy overall, I still eat small portions of comfort food if I feel like it because I find that this is more sustainable. In the past I have tried to avoid all sugar and junk food, but I could only stick to this for 2/3 days.
Been watching and started skipping since March and lost 15lbs gained lots of muscle mass of course did other workouts but my stamina is coming all from a rope it’s actual nuts lol
really?! did it help with stamina? i definitely need to do this. my stamina is like minus level at the moment, and recently having a baby with sleepless nights, even more tired to do any exercise. But im going to make even more time seeing this positive comment.🙂
Yeah man this shits insane i never thought jump roping would work so well, i started a week ago or so and can do this for 30 or 40 mins straight already! When i started i was hurting at the end of 10 minutes lmao
Day 1: ✅ Day 2: ✅ Day 3: ✅ Day 4: ✅ Day 5: ✅ Day 6: ✅ Day 7: ✅ (didn’t feel like it today but... ✅😊 Day 8: ✅ better late than never 🤩 Day 9: ✅ back on track 💪🏾 Day 10: ✅ Last day posting here however this is a part of my daily routine now, until I graduate to a more difficult workout. Thank you Jump Rope Dudes 🙏🏾
I'm writing my experience here for myself and hopefully other people who's just getting started can benefit from it :) I started on 10th May, so by now I have already done 5 days. Day 1- 1000 jump rope felt like hell, I took maybe 30 minutes or more bcs I was exhausted. The rest of the day felt okay tho Day 2- my body SORE bcs I didnt stretch at all yesterday 😭😂 but I still did 1000 jump rope. I did stretching that day Day 3- my muscles sore even more, especially around shoulders(mybe bcs of push ups, i can barely do 5 but i push myself) I still continue do 1000. Day 4- soreness has lessen and I had no problem completing 1000(finished less than 15 minutes.progress!!) That day I know I can do 2000 jump rope but I didnt bcs I get lazy even thinking about it 😂😌 my posture has gotten better too, i feel the difference Day 5- I DID 2000 JUMP ROPE YALL im so proud ,my day one-self would be so proud at me 😂😂 I am not sore at all today & I felt really good!! Day 6- 2000 jump rope again but it is still not easy yet. my right calf is sore tho, mybe i overstretched it😌 Day 7- i did 1000 jumps only as i feel a bit tired :( I'm fasting so I feel thirsty throughout the day, but I'm not hungry at all. That night I weighed myself and I can't believe I lost 1kg!!!😭😭 This motivates me even more!! Day 8- did 1000 :)) i need to drink moreeee water so i will be more energetic to hit 2000 jump rope daily :/ Day 9- 1000 is easy?? My stamina has improved sm that it took me 500 jumps to be out of breath. My physique looks slimmer too!! Day 10- 1000 done!! Day 11- did 2000 :'D my body felt sooo good&lighter!! At this point my calves are firm asf & visibly toned like a football player's :O which is a bit too bulky for my preference, so i will stretch them more frequently every single day Day 12- 2000!!ᕙ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)ᕗ Day 13- i decided to take the day off. Im not feeling so well emotionallly and my body aches bcs i had very little sleep. Day 14- i did 1000 cz it's eid :) and so with that, that's the final update from me ^_^ After 3 weeks- 1000 jump ropes don't feel enough for me now. I also maintained 2kgs that I lost :) my bmi now is 20 2 months later? - Since I've enrolled into uni, I no longer do jump ropes since I'm busy with studying. Now I'm cultivating healty eating habits, although it's a bit difficult for me😶 Monthsss later - I just started jump rope again bcs I feel so sluggish lol. Due to covid, I'm studying from home so I now have my own space to work out
@@razorjr.8044 apparently i stopped working out after a month of doing it bcs im not losing anymore weight as i would like to(now im improving my diet). i only gain back 1kg tho, but am definitely not as fit as i was
I'm already 2 months in jumping rope. I lost around 14-15 lbs thanks to these awesome guys and also my motivation. From 1st of May I've started jumping 6 times a week, first the goal was 1000 jumps a day and now I'm already hitting 2000 jumps. Last week I've also got my crossrope get lean set and it's amazing, I did my first double under yesterday and it's great! Keep going strong! Thank u JRD for everything!
Did you follow any videos or did you start off just trying to reach 1000 jump ropes, I want to get to 1000, but started small and did 200 today, will probs try to do 500 tomorrow.felt so tired but I felt great after.
@@chrishallwood7458 No, I have started on my own, first was 250, then after 2 months I have reached 1000. Now my regular routine is around 2000 jumps. It takes a bit of time but dont give up!
@@chrishallwood7458 it's all in your head, my friend. Proper diet and working out helps a lot, but remember to keep going and never give up. Dont think about how much weight will you lose in a month or two. That will all come naturally.👊😁
This comment might get lost in the sea of the internet, but I'm a pretty heavy alcoholic here, can't even remember the last night I stayed sober and didn't have a drink, and i'm pretty sure (considering I can feel it if I inspect myself) that my liver is....not doing so great. So yeah, a bit of a fat mess, heaviest I've ever been in my life, and tonight is my first night sober, and tomorrow I'm going to start this workout, and try to do it every day to get myself out of my pit of self destruction, and try get to be at least somewhat fitter and slimmer. I've given myself a 6 week time window in which I'm going to stay sober, eat healthier, and work out. I'll try remember to post an update after that here. Fuck this, lets get shit done!
Keep it up dude!!!! Starting is the only hard part. Once you build momentum you will actually start loving it. Speaking from experience as I am fat kid too who has always hated sports and I still am. I actually lost 20 kilos but I gained all of it back again and more due to my entrance exams. But I am trying to get back on track again and I am gonna do it! No matter how long it takes. Let’s do it!! ✌️
Update! I've managed to stay sober for the full week, it's been tough and honestly almost had a few relapse nights, but going strong and plan to continue on for a 6 week detox - work out wise, I did it once, it destroyed me xD But it's a good work out! Sadly I've had to stop doing it for now as I've managed to bugger up my right knee, plan on buying a light brace for it to help and get back on track with the workout, hopefully next week!
Dear friend, even though I don't know you. One thing I know is that you are so much more than your weight or your drinking habit. You have made a wonderful decision. May God bless you. May you find the strength within yourself and keep trying to become a better person. ☺
I am so appreciative of this routine you have created. I haven't done it consistently every day and instead have incorporated it into my schedule every 2/3 days for the last three weeks. The first day I did it, it took me 20 minutes to catch my breath and I stopped a few times through the routine. I can now get through this routine, breaking a good sweat but with my breathing under control. I'm going to challenge myself to do this daily throughout February. I look forward to bettering my cardio!! Thank you!!!
This workout is Great!! I started with a regular rope. Now I'm going to the weighted rope. I'm a fit wife and mother of 6 that has had spine issues and refuses to just lay down. I'm determined to be my best me ever!!! *dripping sweat *breathing strong *muscles tight 💪🏽
The way he swings the rope before starting to jump is what keeps me in awe... the technique you use to avoid passing the rope behind. awesome bro. thanks for share🔥
Thanks for the video. I recently got into boxing. There I learned that jumping rope burns more than running. My knees hate running so jumping rope is my new side piece in the gym.
This is day 3 of me doing this routine. I want to commit to the better rope and program, but I gotta do at least two weeks consistently before I invest. I’ve joined and canceled too many gym memberships and need to provide to myself that I can do this at home with zero excuses. Thank you so much for getting me off the couch. :)
A week or so ago I discovered that my resting heart rate was consistently over 100 bpm which is apparently dangerous so I went looking for some easy cardio to help me get it down. I'm glad I discovered your channel. So far I can only go about 5 minutes at a time but my resting heart rate is already down to 85..in just a week! I hope I get to 10 minutes next week, I think I want to make this a lifetime habit. Thank you for all the encouragement and fun videos it has really helped so far.
Davidson640, yeah it can. I’m not an expert but from what I know if you never do cardio your heart basically isn’t pumping as efficiently as it can, therefor it has to pump more times per minute to supply your body with blood. The more you work it out, the easier if can pump blood all around your body, so it beats less times per minute.
I'm doing this 3 times a week after my weight lifts for 3 weeks. So far, its been able to control my weight gain. I can already feel the difference in my core and calves.
This workout has been a life saver the past couple of weeks for me, as it's getting really cold outside for my daily runs. I'm looking forward to more jump rope videos. Thank you 👋🏼
Only the people who finished this workout from the very begining to the very end can like this (Its ok if you messed up here and there. Just aslong as you finished it)
Hey i just wanted to share that jump rope really improve my overall health, i lost around 8 kg in just a few months after my weight doesn't budge for a year, i don't exactly follow any routines on your channel and i mostly just do 1000 skips a day but i started after youtube recommended me one of your videos 😂 so thank you keep inspiring people. Also i might try and follow this routine one day 💖
*Day 1:* Felt like I was gonna have a heart attack at the 6 minute mark, took around 3-4 extra breaks and completed the workout. I can literally feel the pulse on my ear lmaoo *Day 2:* I was able to follow along till the 9 minute mark, I wouldn’t say it was exhaustion but I was so out of breath and however hard I tried to take a deep breath it felt like a hole in my chest, my mouth was also beginning to run dry. I did fumble here and there while skipping, I was trying to perfect my form by only moving my wrists and not my entire arm. I was definitely less exhausted than day 1 and only took 1 break. *Day 3:* It was similar to day 2, I had to stop at the 9 minute mark not cause of lack of stamina or exhaustion, but the area above my knee couldn’t handle it. I tried to film myself doing jump rope and after watching the footage I realized my form was no where close to perfect, my fore arms were flailing, my legs were kept apart and weren’t lifting of the ground at the same time. I tried to correct my form during this workout and it was much harder, my jump rope couldn’t go as fast if I just tried to move my wrists and kept em beside my hips.(my rope doesn’t have any bearings), each time I landed with my knees slightly bent,I no longer felt the impact on my feet(my feet used to hurt after the workout ) now I feel it all above my knees, after the break at the 9min mark, I fumbled many times, I couldn’t physically jump rope. *Day 4:* I was able to follow along till the 9min mark, I tried pushing past it but Legs couldn’t handle it and it was half assed jumps. After the break I continued but it wasn’t satisfactory, my jumping paced deceased over time and it was pretty hard to maintain the momentum of the rope while being in correct jump rope form. I’d say today was pretty frustrating. Hopefully the muscle above my knees (A google search told me it’s called the Quadriceps?) becomes stronger. I have to say My water consumption between and after the workouts has significantly decreased. Day 1 I’m pretty sure I drank an entire bottle lol *Day 5:* I’m pretty sure I’ve improved my jump rope form, I keep my wrists fairly close to my hips and only move my wrists, to maintain the speed of the rope I have to flick my wrists much harder which results In my jumps being much faster, I would say my pace is similar to that in the video, I trip up here and there some sometimes my rope ends up losing speed since I’m not used to flicking my wrists, occasionally my forearms take over. Anyways today I barely felt any Fatigue on my knees or feet, prolly cause my feet didn’t touch the ground as much cause Of the faster pace. I was able to keep up with the workout till the 10 min mark. *Day 6:* I didn’t jump rope for 3 days cause of college. Well Day 6 was amazing. I completed the entire workout. Very minimal trip ups with my jump rope and my form is much better. I wasn’t even that exhausted after completing the entire workout. Only problem is that when I jump or land , both my feet don’t land or take off at the same time, there is a very small delay, so I can feel the pressure more on my left foot. I don’t feel tired but I feel more energized! *Day 7:* Didn't go as smoothly as day 6, had to stop at 10:45, I could feel the fatigue in foot and above my knees, especially after the second set of squats. I'm not sure why tho since it was fine on day 6. Although it could be that this is the first time I did the workout consecutively. Till now I've been doing the workout every alternate day, but there was no gap between Day 6 and 7. From now on I'll try to do the workout daily. *Day 8:* Went fairly smoothly, was able to complete entire workout. Working more on perfect form, jumps, etc. I'll only update this comment if there is any significant development/change. *Day 9:* Was able to performs side swings before I begin to jump rope. *Day 10* Complete *Day 11* Complete *Day 12* Complete *Day 13* Complete (17/02/2021) *Day 14:* Everything felt so chill today. The exercises felt more laid back and easy. It didn’t require my entire concentration. I hope to continue with this workout till I reach 30 days. *Day 15* Complete *Day 16* Complete *Day 17* Complete *Day 18:* I breezed through the exercise today lol. By the last set I was like damn is that it? It didn’t feel as long as before . (26/02/2022) *Day 19:* Complete Busy with college exams right now *Update:* I’ve been tested Covid positive and I’m not feeling well at all lol. I won’t be back here for a while *Im back:* So after 2 months I’m finally back. My family and others advised not to exercise after recovering from Covid since you shouldn’t stress your body and stuff. Even though I was tested negative within a week my body was definitely weaker and I was out of breath after doing simple tasks. *Day 20:* Took a 2 min break at 10:20 since I didn’t wanna overwork my body cause this is the first time I’m legitimately exercising post Covid. I found push ups to be kinda difficult but I was able to pull through. Rest of the workout went fairly smoothly. I was expecting to do worse but I’m satisfied lol. (13/05/2022)
There are various levels and the fact that we are trying is already great. I usually lift and have some muscles but my cardio needs a LOT of improvement lol. I'm sweating hard
This channel is soooooo underrated! I'm a Karate Dude and was doing runs for cardio... Until I checked your Channel some weeks ago... I ordered a jumprope... Actually I stopped running completely, doing this excercise every day... It pushed my Karate already like 20% Thank you so much Dudes!!!!
As someone whose main form of workout is walking for about 2kms a week, this was brutal. I haven't sweat this much in a long time. I also failed at the pushups. Anyway, it can only get better
If ur failing on push ups do them on your knees and just make sure your back is completely flat. You’d be surprised how quickly you can improve with good form!
I’m gonna do this for about 3 months... I’ll come back everyday to update you guys Day 1- done, was really hard in the middle and I couldn’t do more than 2 push ups Day 2- couldn’t I was busy 😔 Day 3-did it and omg it was so much worse today and I can only do 3 push-ups Day 4- started off with a lot of energy, really struggled at the end but at least I finished it Day 5- workout my arms so I didn’t do this Day 6- was wayyy too sore to move my arm so I didn’t do it Day 7- I usually start with this but started cycling first and I was exhausted when I did this almost couldn’t finish it Day 8-10 I’m on my period and I’m not about to do all this on it I’ll update you when I do it again Day 11- I got better in my pushups I could do 10 the first time and 5 the second time which is an improvement to me, working out helps me a lot mentally and after I was done I felt tired but relaxed Day. 12- oops forgot Day 13- was busy Day 14- finished it easy I’ve 100% improved since day 1 and I’m not out out breathe after I finish Day 15- ate junk food and was super tired after workout 😅 A whole week of not doing it and I feel exhausted and I didn’t do it because my mental health literally won’t let me get out of bed or do anything other than over eat and I honestly feel shitty about myself lately btw- I’m also doing 20 minutes of cycling along with this workout and I’m lifting 8 pound weights and I’m going to do the workout 5 days a week (my diet has changed too btw, I’m a few days without junk food and I have bad cravings also I’m starting to feel arm muscles and my waist is getting smaller but I have also been doing other workouts aside from this one) EDIT 2- I don’t take breaks anymore so that’s good
If you are just starting out doing pushups, you should just do it with your knees instead, not in a plank position, build up to that, it will help out a lot
I joined this workout because i wanted something which was quick and would provide enough cardio for good health especially in fact of my busy schedule. I found this to be very effective and useful as now my cardio has drastically improved, I feel so much healthier and my stats have gone down. Thank you guys for such a great workout
Have faith. After 1 month or so, this has become my warm-up. I do this one with the 1/2 pound rope, take a 5-10 minute break, and then do the 12-minute ab workout with the 1/4 pound rope.
New to jump roping since the quarantine and man do i love it, i started this workout a week ago maybe a week and a half ago and i have improved so much, i started out and by the end of the workout i was so tires almost didnt get through it and now i can do this workout 3 or 4 times in a row making it a 30 or 40 minute workout!!! This workout that was hard for me is now my warmup! I feel amazing knowing where i started and where i am now, i look forward to seeing more of your videos and workouts to help me get to my fitness goals!!!
Completed the whole 10 minutes the first time up no stops outside of rope trips.... I must say really good warm-up and great tips on improving rope skills
Hello, 47yo male 5'9 170 pound guy here. I flew to Taiwan a week ago and have been in quarantine since. Been doing this twice a day since 3 days ago, and I feel great! Thanks so much, man, for the clip!! Highly recommended for a beginner under home quarantine!!!
This is a great beginner workout. I'm starting my fitness journey (coming from a sedentary work environment) and this was a great introduction to getting the body used to movement again. Jump rope is my favorite past times, and I love that I can incorporate it into a workout.
Day1: Did all workout except push up cause I don't know how to do it. It's not easy at all after completing this I could barely breathe. But still got up so and did stretching to cool down.
I made it now guys! Thanks for your videos! I started a few weeks ago after a stop due to a foot injure. I hope to keep going with jump rope training! 💪🏻
Just did this yesterday and it killed me but I felt amazing!! One of the first workouts that actually feels achievable and kicks your ass! Can’t wait to do this again today
Thank you for the video! Day 1: ✅🥴 Day 2: ✅🥴 Day 3: feeling the soreness- rest Day 4: Rest needed Day 5: ✅🥴 much improvement already from Day 1&2 Day 6: Rest Day 7: ✅🥴 more improvement then Day 5 Day 8: ✅🥴 Day 9: ✅🥴 Day 10: ✅🥴 Day 12: ✅🥴
I am a 44 years old mother - was my first day today, believe me it was not easy. Thanks god I managed to finish till the end. And I promised to myself that I won't give up, I hope you guys will do the same 😅 💪💪💪
I just started jump roping bc I moved states for a contract and the area I’m in isn’t a place I’d trust running around outside. I’m kinda glad I was already doing a variation of this before watching. I’d jump rope for 1:30 seconds, immediately do 8-10 pushups, 8-10 deadlifts w DBs, 8-10 air squats and 8-10 shoulder presses. Keeping the rest time only long enough to catch my breath and then repeat for about 30-40 minutes. So far I’ve really enjoyed jump roping, definitely going to keep it within my overall routine
I consider myself a pretty active person in decent shape, I play a lot of hockey (pre covid) and mountain bike often, but with all the snow in my area its been tough to find decent cardio that I enjoy. Found this video last week and ordered a jump rope, and got started a few days ago. This routine kills me but I love how I feel after. Thank you guys!
just did this workout and man it was tense! i've been an athlete all my life but i'm in offseason rn so I decided to do this workout and wow it really kicks you into gear- glad I found this video and this channel!!
Ray, I want you to know that I've been using this video since the pandemic and you have inspired me greatly. Since April 2020 I have lost over 45lbs and counting...I came back to this video to tell you what an inspiration you have been tome and it has added years to my life again. Take care ~Will
I've been using this workout for the past year as my pre weight training warm up. It is perfect for me! All I have is a power rack, an olympic bar and weights and my jump ropes. In the past 2 years I've dropped 25kg from better nutrition and exercise. JRD have helped me on my journey. Thanks guys!
Thank you so much for my 1st day with your Awesome beginners workout. I felt every move as I jump properly as well as the burnout portion. I am so grateful. I will continue to do the beginners workout for the rest of this week before moving to the next level. May God continue to bless you to be a blessing to others, and May God continue to shine His face upon you.
I heard jumping rope is one of the fastest way to burn calories. I tried this workout and i stopped at 9:30 This is no joke. But im gonna try to do this twice a day. I really hate working out or going to the gym.
Me too. I hate working out 😂 but rope jumping seems fun for me compared to other workout. Idk why although its tiring but i like it rather than doing pushup 😂😂
This has to be the best workouts for beginners I highly recommend that you invest in a jumprope this is the first workout for beginner I actually enjoyed
This has been a great incorporation to my daily workouts. I do it at the end of my cardio workouts to add some extra calorie burning. I love how quick it is. I work up a good sweat every time
Thank you very much for these uploaded videos! I am over 35 years old, but I feel stronger than I did at 20! Working out has made my life better! For me, starting is always the hardest part, but once I begin, I always realize how glad I am that I managed to motivate myself, even if it's just for a short video! I always feel so much better after I've finished. I also try to give people a bit of motivation (on my Channel) to take that first, hardest step because they definitely won't regret it. Many blessings! :)

This is accurate. I’m at my 3rd day now

Do you feel you have lost weight?
Thanks I completet it but was out of breath . Was wondering how many calories I burned with this excercise?
@@noubou8759 It only depends on your heart rate. A beginner who's heart is racing fast during the whole exercise will burn more calories than someone who's more advanced and can easily complete this workout without running out of breath.
Guys this works I’ve been doing this for a month straight and have lost about 9kg you just have to eat healthy and be consistent with it .
Wow congrats
How much kgs did u lose now?
How consistent and what diet did you have?
Well done. But were you skipping 7 days a week?
Heyyy how much in total u loved weight?plz reply
I know I commented this on another video but I have to share it here specifically as well. My friend sent me a 1lb jumprope for Christmas (I've been mediocre at best with my lightweight jumprope, only using it for crossFit workouts and definitely not able to do double unders in said workouts). I decided instead of my usual jog for cardio to unbox that heavy rope and try this workout. I can't believe what an awesome full body workout this was! Done this workout twice now and am amazed at how quick it was to adapt to the heavy rope and also can't believe how sore my triceps feel after this! I can confidently say I'm pumped to roll into 2023 and Do The Thing!
uuuuyyyyess! Heavy ropes are a game changer! So glad you are enjoying it. Thanks for sharing and keep DOING THE THING!
This makes us so happy to hear!!! Thank you for spreading the word about jump rope to your classes!
@EthanKlein For 20 minutes a month, he refers to a video - fire him now, LOL 🤣
I want to lose weight by jumping rope. Will jumping rope make my legs bigger?
Woah Mr. McKenzie!?

Your endurance will 100% increase dramatically
I'm writing my experience here for myself and hopefully other people who's just getting started can benefit from it :)
I started on 10th May, so by now I have already done 5 days.
Day 1- 1000 jump rope felt like hell, I took maybe 30 minutes or more bcs I was exhausted. The rest of the day felt okay tho
Day 2- my body SORE bcs I didnt stretch at all yesterday 😭😂 but I still did 1000 jump rope. I did stretching that day
Day 3- my muscles sore even more, especially around shoulders(mybe bcs of push ups, i can barely do 5 but i push myself) I still continue do 1000.
Day 4- soreness has lessen and I had no problem completing 1000(finished less than 15 minutes.progress!!) That day I know I can do 2000 jump rope but I didnt bcs I get lazy even thinking about it 😂😌 my posture has gotten better too, i feel the difference
Day 5- I DID 2000 JUMP ROPE YALL im so proud ,my day one-self would be so proud at me 😂😂 I am not sore at all today & I felt really good!!
Day 6- 2000 jump rope again but it is still not easy yet. my right calf is sore tho, mybe i overstretched it😌
Day 7- i did 1000 jumps only as i feel a bit tired :( I'm fasting so I feel thirsty throughout the day, but I'm not hungry at all. That night I weighed myself and I can't believe I lost 1kg!!!😭😭 This motivates me even more!!
Day 8- did 1000 :)) i need to drink moreeee water so i will be more energetic to hit 2000 jump rope daily :/
Day 9- 1000 is easy?? My stamina has improved sm that it took me 500 jumps to be out of breath. My physique looks slimmer too!!
Day 10- 1000 done!!
Day 11- did 2000 :'D my body felt sooo good&lighter!! At this point my calves are firm asf & visibly toned like a football player's :O which is a bit too bulky for my preference, so i will stretch them more frequently every single day
Day 12- 2000!!ᕙ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)ᕗ
Day 13- i decided to take the day off. Im not feeling so well emotionallly and my body aches bcs i had very little sleep.
Day 14- i did 1000 cz it's eid :) and so with that, that's the final update from me ^_^
After 3 weeks- 1000 jump ropes don't feel enough for me now. I also maintained 2kgs that I lost :) my bmi now is 20
2 months later? - Since I've enrolled into uni, I no longer do jump ropes since I'm busy with studying. Now I'm cultivating healty eating habits, although it's a bit difficult for me😶
Monthsss later - I just started jump rope again bcs I feel so sluggish lol. Due to covid, I'm studying from home so I now have my own space to work out

How are you doing?
@@Sm1ley1987 Good luck! We're rooting for you :)

Damn not getting exercise can increase your resting heart beat ?
Davidson640, yeah it can. I’m not an expert but from what I know if you never do cardio your heart basically isn’t pumping as efficiently as it can, therefor it has to pump more times per minute to supply your body with blood. The more you work it out, the easier if can pump blood all around your body, so it beats less times per minute.
@Mark keep up the good work!!!
I just started doing jump rope a few weeks ago, already seeing results. Your videos have been top notch! Keep it up

😂😂😂
I'm on my 3rd week and today I was able to go through the entire thing. I feel great!!!
Hows the body results?
*Day 1:* Felt like I was gonna have a heart attack at the 6 minute mark, took around 3-4 extra breaks and completed the workout. I can literally feel the pulse on my ear lmaoo
*Day 2:* I was able to follow along till the 9 minute mark, I wouldn’t say it was exhaustion but I was so out of breath and however hard I tried to take a deep breath it felt like a hole in my chest, my mouth was also beginning to run dry.
Day 1 I’m pretty sure I drank an entire bottle lol
*Day 5:* I’m pretty sure I’ve improved my jump rope form, I keep my wrists fairly close to my hips and only move my wrists, to maintain the speed of the rope I have to flick my wrists much harder which results In my jumps being much faster, I would say my pace is similar to that in the video, I trip up here and there some sometimes my rope ends up losing speed since I’m not used to flicking my wrists, occasionally my forearms take over.
*Day 10* Complete
*Day 11* Complete
*Day 12* Complete
*Day 13* Complete (17/02/2021)
*Day 14:* Everything felt so chill today. The exercises felt more laid back and easy. It didn’t require my entire concentration. I hope to continue with this workout till I reach 30 days.
*Day 15* Complete
*Day 16* Complete
*Day 17* Complete
*Day 18:* I breezed through the exercise today lol. By the last set I was like damn is that it? It didn’t feel as long as before . (26/02/2022)
*Day 19:* Complete
Busy with college exams right now
*Update:* I’ve been tested Covid positive and I’m not feeling well at all lol.
I won’t be back here for a while
*Im back:* So after 2 months I’m finally back.

Day 3-did it and omg it was so much worse today and I can only do 3 push-ups
Day 4- started off with a lot of energy, really struggled at the end but at least I finished it
Day 5- workout my arms so I didn’t do this
Day 6- was wayyy too sore to move my arm so I didn’t do it
Day 7- I usually start with this but started cycling first and I was exhausted when I did this almost couldn’t finish it
Day 8-10 I’m on my period and I’m not about to do all this on it I’ll update you when I do it again
Day 11- I got better in my pushups I could do 10 the first time and 5 the second time which is an improvement to me, working out helps me a lot mentally and after I was done I felt tired but relaxed
Day. 12- oops forgot
Day 13- was busy
Day 14- finished it easy I’ve 100% improved since day 1 and I’m not out out breathe after I finish
Day 15- ate junk food and was super tired after workout 😅
A whole week of not doing it and I feel exhausted and I didn’t do it because my mental health literally won’t let me get out of bed or do anything other than over eat and I honestly feel shitty about myself lately
btw- I’m also doing 20 minutes of cycling along with this workout and I’m lifting 8 pound weights and I’m going to do the workout 5 days a week (my diet has changed too btw, I’m a few days without junk food and I have bad cravings also I’m starting to feel arm muscles and my waist is getting smaller but I have also been doing other workouts aside from this one) EDIT 2- I don’t take breaks anymore so that’s good
That's a great start Karen! Can't wait for your update tomorrow!
If you are just starting out doing pushups, you should just do it with your knees instead, not in a plank position, build up to that, it will help out a lot
Ethan Cockburn I’ve been doing that but thxs
Lol the period struggle ✊
@@Kare5852 Try them on the wall for a couple of weeks. It helped me.
I’m so out of shape this had me breathing for my dear life! Loved it 😅
I couldn't finish first two times
i'm just wondering how your glasses never fell off the entire workout
omg this was my first time attempting any kind of jump rope workout i am sweaaaaaating. thanks for the great workout!
NiiiiicE!!!!!!!!!!!
Same awsome workout
Bro this comment section is the funniest shit I’ve ever seen LMFAO 😂. Low-key just saw a comment that someone pissed on themselves HAHAHAH
I joined this workout because i wanted something which was quick and would provide enough cardio for good health especially in fact of my busy schedule. I found this to be very effective and useful as now my cardio has drastically improved, I feel so much healthier and my stats have gone down. Thank you guys for such a great workout
Man said “you can do this as a warmup “ 😭😭😭
Have faith. After 1 month or so, this has become my warm-up. I do this one with the 1/2 pound rope, take a 5-10 minute break, and then do the 12-minute ab workout with the 1/4 pound rope.
I was like common . this is insane
I was laughing and jumpin when he said that and i was out of breath lol
Righttt?? Lol :))
😂😂😂😂😂😂
New to jump roping since the quarantine and man do i love it, i started this workout a week ago maybe a week and a half ago and i have improved so much, i started out and by the end of the workout i was so tires almost didnt get through it and now i can do this workout 3 or 4 times in a row making it a 30 or 40 minute workout!!! This workout that was hard for me is now my warmup! I feel amazing knowing where i started and where i am now, i look forward to seeing more of your videos and workouts to help me get to my fitness goals!!!
Kind of embarrassing how difficult this “beginner” workout was for me
Keep at it! It will get easier!
fr im dying:)
Its coming easier after time
Completed the whole 10 minutes the first time up no stops outside of rope trips.... I must say really good warm-up and great tips on improving rope skills
Love to hear it! Way to do the thing!
Loved this workout Brandon. I'm getting in shape after retiring as a ballet dancer. This was SO enjoyable. Thanks!
This is a great beginner workout. I'm starting my fitness journey (coming from a sedentary work environment) and this was a great introduction to getting the body used to movement again.
Jump rope is my favorite past times, and I love that I can incorporate it into a workout.
Wow. Just did this for the first time all the way through 😮😮
Warm up isn’t the word.
Loved it. Thanks JRG.
Day1: Did all workout except push up cause I don't know how to do it. It's not easy at all after completing this I could barely breathe. But still got up so and did stretching to cool down.
No shame in modifying those push ups! Put your knees down, keep your core engaged and try it that way!
You can also do planks instead of push ups, that's what I did cause I have no idea how to do good push ups and my arms are lame and weak LOL

For a beginner workout, it definitely gives you a little burn. Awesome!

Today was my first go at this... I made it to the 5 minute mark and I’ll keep going until this is easy. Day 1 ✅ #DOTHETHING
it's my day 3...let's do this @Noemi Reyes
My day first trying....... Tilll use to it
I just started jump roping bc I moved states for a contract and the area I’m in isn’t a place I’d trust running around outside.
Thanks do these guys all my workouts are jump rope based. The workouts are always fun and always diffenent and improvement is seen really quickly.

Amazing Will!! So happy to hear that! Keep doing the thing!

@@RandomGuy-nm6bm let me guess you only watched the video and didn't do anything to be proactive yourself
You're Height Increase??
Thank you so much for my 1st day with your Awesome beginners workout. I felt every move as I jump properly as well as the burnout portion. I am so grateful. I will continue to do the beginners workout for the rest of this week before moving to the next level. May God continue to bless you to be a blessing to others, and May God continue to shine His face upon you.
Daamn😍😍 Iets just appreciate the fact that this workout is all free ...I really enjoyed it ...Thank you so much👍
Glad you liked it!!
working out only costs a bit of willpower and motivation!
hope you're still on it & drive on!
I heard jumping rope is one of the fastest way to burn calories. I tried this workout and i stopped at 9:30
This is no joke. But im gonna try to do this twice a day. I really hate working out or going to the gym.
Me too. I hate working out 😂 but rope jumping seems fun for me compared to other workout. Idk why although its tiring but i like it rather than doing pushup 😂😂
Already jumping for 10 minutes. Will do this tomorrow. Looks fun
Who's here after the corona outbreak and all gyms are closed? :(

Thanks a lot for this! Planning to do this 3x a day to reach my 30 minute goal, even if I’m straight garbage at jump rope.
Don't be so hard on yourself, 10 mins is no joke! Keep doing the thing and you'll get there!! 💪⚡
loved this.. Used it for the cardio part of my workout.. Nice way to finish off a workout
This has to be the best workouts for beginners I highly recommend that you invest in a jumprope this is the first workout for beginner I actually enjoyed
This has been a great incorporation to my daily workouts. I do it at the end of my cardio workouts to add some extra calorie burning. I love how quick it is. I work up a good sweat every time
That's perfect! Happy to hear it!
