Little shopping trip today! Appararantly you are not a Khmer baby unless you sleep in a hammock! So we used our shrewd negotiating skills to procure this one from Psar Leu - Siem Reaps most versatile market!
I'm Marc - and these are my mildly interesting adventures, mostly through Cambodia and South East Asia.

Just a fun little trip to the market to pick up a hammock! Honestly looking back I have no idea why anyone would watch this - if you do thanks so much! Hope you enjoyed it!!

I love Phsar Leu. I don't normally buy anything but love to wander around the place. I 'm also a fan of Phsar Samaki veg market on the north side of NR 6. a little to the west.

G’day Paul! Psar Leu is a cracker isn’t it! There is just so much stuff there - everything you do and don’t need!
Don’t think I have ever been to Samaki, seen plenty of videos though - will have to check it out next time.
Hope you are doing well mate!! Cheers!

Hey Maddo! Ha not your first rodeo negotiating is it! The old 'i'm walking' seemed to work.
You must be a hard bargainer if your track record is to get them upset haha!
Going ok here mate - been a pretty full on couple of months truth be told but getting back to some normality now. Hope you are travelling ok too?
      Cheers big ears!

Marc, I miss your wife's cooking. Being a khmer woman myself with a white husband, I do find interesting what she cooks for the white taste buds 😉 (my husband is open to trying cambodian food, but not prahok! Damn! We have been together for 13 years now, and he still wouldn't go near it. Prahok is the life of a khmer!). Anyway, I hope you and the family are well.

Hey there Night Owl!! Ah I know I know Prahok is life for Khmer...but probably not for us Barangs haha!
I might be biased, but I think Khmer cooking with Australian ingredients and meats ends up better than what we get back in the old country. Any meats stir fried or bbq'd, that have been marinated in khmer style spices/pastes are my favourites - and Kinal slowly adds more and more chilli each time! We also like to do Kaw in the winters, and don't mind the occasional Amok.
Other than that - id say just introduce the flavours and aromas of Khmer cooking to some western style foods and go from there!
We are well! There have been a few bumps in the road this year but we are all doing well and looking forward to our next trip! Hope you and the fam are well too! Cheers!

So, you didn't offer to buy 10 for a discount and take 1 to try it out? That worked so well last time. :)
