I’m an American living in Siem Reap. Been here a year and a half. Love it. The Red Piano on the corner as well as El Toro a few doors down, both on Pub Street are my favorite go-to places with the most comfortable seating right on the street. Great for cheap beer and people-watching! Great food too!
I am Australian and I am moving to live in Siem Reap in the next couple of weeks and I was in Siem Reap back in 2019 as well and if you are there in April 13 - 16 then you will love the water fights celebrateing the Khmer new year as well!
Yeah , we will celebrate our khmer new year at Siem Reap on 14th 15th 16th . We will have many cultural and traditional events organizing by government. Thank for interesting in our country and enjoy your trip.
Hey mate I'm a Brit moving there September next year. How is it going out there? I am guessing you must know Bali pretty well too as it's so close for you guys. I used to live in Sanur a long time ago.
Once again bro, I love the content. Your spirit and kindness flows through you so naturally. You seem like a legit dude. Thanks for another great video and showing us the nightlife in Cambodia. This video definitely showed the kindness of the locals and I loved that. Cant wait to experience it myself!
Chris - you are getting a lot of great reviews from Cambodia media and a lot of views. You should definitely extend your stay and visit all the provinces. I’ll see you in June.
I was here for NYE and it was amazing with all of the little vans playing music! What a great safe place with nice people. The Greek restaurant Elia is one of the best spots to eat.
Thanks to Mr. Chrit for making videos showing many areas in Cambodia, these videos are very important to make the world know more about Cambodia, I suggest you make more videos recently. I wish you all the best in your endeavors.
Nice video bro, i remember that street well and it was a fun place! I think you normally film on a gopro right or is it something else? We recently bought an insta 360 go ace pro after seeing some great low light reviews and it has been working wonders for us especially with night footage. As you know the gopro is terrible in the dark especially when walking around, blurry and fuzzy footage but the insta ace pro doesn't really do that. We also used our iphones in the past but it's not as easy to film with and constantly switch between filming ourselves and in front of us. I think the insta will help you out a lot in this kind of situation also :D Keep up the hard work
Hey Chris, loving all of your content. Your videos have been very helpful. I am really looking forward to going back there in a month. Will also be my 2nd time. 😬💓
I'm heading to Battambang for 2 days during khmer new year, and considering visiting Siem Reap. It's about a 3h journey from there. It seems great, but a little concerned it might be too crowded during the new year! 👋👋👋
I really enjoyed your video , by the way I wish you stay in Cambodia untill khmer New year which celebrate every year on 14th 15th 16th April. Siem Reap is first place for Cambodian to go and enjoy new year at there , government will organize many cultural events at there. Thank you for visiting Cambodia.
First time responder but you’re my top 3 that I follow! First of all, you’re awesome and thank you! I would however would love to see you take a couple of sips or gulps of beer when you’re in a restaurant/Bar…😊
Hey great video Chris. I was last in Siem Reap 5 years ago and loved hanging out at Pub Street. The beer being so cheap was especially awesome. But I enjoyed some Cambodian BBQ one of the nights I was there. It’s almost like Korean BBQ, but different types of meats. I know the feeling of being dead tired after a long day. You must have felt like a zombie and then crashed once you got back to your hotel.
That looks so nice...I haven't been there (2019) since they did all the road work throughout the city... I've been to SR 3 times for a total of about 13 weeks.... This video is motivating me to check out the flight prices.... thanks for the video
What a city !!!!! - - - I'm so impressed with the 'vibe' there and how the people adapt to the heat ? So - @ night - they live life to the fullest. -- Tourists support Pub Street - not the locals - who find much cheaper prices a few blocks away. Good video !!! A real "taste" of it.
Hi Chris, I like your video also I am happy there still some nice person like to help local buy ice cream and snack for children. I am going to Combodia and Vietnam next month to explore.
En effet Siem Reap est devenu très touristique comparé à il y a 20 ans... J' adore toujours autant le pays et j' y retourne grâce à vous en attendant mon deuxième voyage 😊👍♥️🇰🇭
Really enjoyed your video . Liked your commentary & relaxed approach exploring pub street. Yeah looks wild. Feeling tired as you were you should have gone back to the hotel & slept then come back out to hit the nightlife scene that's what I usually do although I've not experienced nightlife like this before but will soon as I'm planning to visit Cambodia for a week in a few months time so that will be an experienced. Not sure though where to visit to get the best out of my time there obviously I will visit Siem reap as it's the home of Ankor Wat though not sure how long to stay there for. How much time would you recommend? As I do want to see phomn penh aswell. Also does Siem reap have all those girlie bars? As it seems to be more laid back & not to overwhelming. Choice of where to drink & eat from what I saw in your video certainly is overwhelming even you had a hard time deciding. How was the croc burger? I already know as I live in Australia lol. Definitely got to try those ice-cream rolls lol what's with the fish tanks will have to research that. Yeah 2022 wouldn't have been much of a year for tourism would have been quiet everywhere. Will follow your other videos. Thanks
Give the local vendors a break. Pay the small fee they ask for. It’s already cheap. They’ve been starving since covid for 4 years and prices are cheaper now than before covid when I was here last. I used to bargain, but not any more. I happily give them what they ask. They never price-gouge you anyway.
I just got back from Siem Reap. My experience on Pub Street was very different than yours. It was very quiet. Mind you, it was mid week. But I enjoyed my 75 cent beer, sitting on the 2nd floor, with a nice view of the quiet street. Enjoy.
Would it is cheaper to use “wise debit card” to transfer money from USA checking account to Wise debit card to withdraw money from ATM around the world ?
I was thinking of going to Chiang Mai in October as I've never been but Siem Reap looks good where I have also never been, mmmm decisions?? Where is a good location for hotel stays near pub street and all the action.
Lots of my families are retired in Cambodia after spending 40 years in America . They love it there lots of natural resources beautiful white sandy beaches with qualities life depending on your budget.
I’ve been in SR for the last year and a half. The people are the sweetest people in SE Asia. Good luck to you. Enjoy

Me in Cambodia
I agree. Ella is a great restaurant. So is Red Piano. The chicken Caesar salad is the best. Also try the pork ribs.
I see nothing but beauty’s there Chris
Cambodia so fun and enjoyable have a great day from The Walk Street 🇰🇭♥️
You’ve made the right decision, that restaurant ( the red piano) is the one that Angelina Jolie dined in while she was in Siem Reap
I like all of your videos but this was especially interesting as I will be in Siem Reap at the end of June.
It’s pretty good if you come on 14-17th April
I will be there too as well. Stay a few days . I have a place there. Looking to rent my place in SR. Rent only monthly.

I cannot find a piece of litter on these streets in this video! 🙌🏼 Incredible!
That was what makes me hesitate about visiting Vietnam. All reviews say it’s filthy.

You can say "ជល់មួយ" (Jul Muay) for "Cheer!" instead of "លើកកែវ" (Lurk Keo). It's quite common for drinking beer.
