G'day everyone - well in this video, Kinal made a promise to her family to procure some of the smelly fruit. It was a mildly interesting hunt.

Hope you enjoyed that hunt for the smelly fruit in and amongst village life here in Siem Reap Cambodia. What do you think of durian? Of all the Khmer foods, this doesn’t rank amongst the smelliest in my book! Video Links:
th-cam.com/video/UITFGjLZmvs/w-d-xo.html - I met a lady who gave me a free juice, called a pomelo an orange
th-cam.com/video/6UyBMg1fcwA/w-d-xo.html - take a look at what 6am in Siem reap is like - we got waffles from that market
Im loving the reaction when you saw the camey ute. Im quite impressed on the welding job!
Love the way how you explain what’s going on make me laugh
G'day Russell - Cheers mate glad you got a laugh or two from this one! It was great fun filming!! Hope you are well mate!
Those durians look really good 😍
G'day Timeless! The family were very happy with the durian purchase and i'm told (cause I didn’t have any) that they were pretty good!!
Do you enjoy the occasional durian?
Cheers and thanks for watching!
Laughed more than a few times mate, you can grow pomelo here in melb too.
You're in Siem Reap alot. Good to see!
Hehe cheers mate! Glad to put a smile on your dial! Ah I'm still digging out videos from the last trip, there were plenty of them - but we are due to go back soon again. Might have to give growing some pomelo here..would love to grow mangostein..would be an overnight millionaire!
Hope you and your jungle crop are surviving this bloody cold weather mate!
Cheers!
That was lots of fun! Thx 4 sharing! ;)
Cheers Ed! Glad you enjoyed that one mate! It was a lot of fun making it! Are you partial to the odd Durian? I don't mind the smell....but would rather smash some mangosteen!!
@@MarcsMildlyInteresting I've had durian ice cream 🍦, it was delicious 😋, haven't had it raw outta the peel yet. LOL 😆
Love it - just pull out mate!
G'day Steve! Haha that's it! Small vehicles give way to big ones...regardless of road position. Never gets old! Hope you are well mate!!
@@MarcsMildlyInteresting all good mate - can't wait to get back. Only 8.5 weeks to go! Hope you're well as well.
😁😁🇰🇭🇰🇭
I love ❤ Durian fruits especially when it been stone cold chill,. In Coles supermarket whole fruit cost A$18.89 kg, last week Lalor Plaza Coles has $12 per kg so I bought two 3 Durian fruits around $25 to 35 each❤❤❤
Hmmmm Lalor Plaza eh? Might have to do a reconnaissance! Never been to the plaza but have been up to May St Shops a few times for a bit of culture! Were they any good?
Lalor Plaza is only a tiny shopping centre but it's handy so close to my house , I also shop at Lalor May Road as well.
@rimloch3919 nice mate - if you ever see us up that way say g’day!
@@MarcsMildlyInteresting sure👍

Hey Maddo! Mate i'm with you on the durian front - reckon we seen em in Springvale but yeah nothing at Preston!
That Camry was a great bit of gear - but yeah would hate to see what was under that paint job hahaha!!
Hope you are travelling well mate and staying warm - this cold snap is a shocker!
HI Marc, do you like the smell of the Durian? By the way, the wife and I are going back there in November anything you'd like to see from us cheers
G'day Robert! To be honest, I prefer the smell of Durian compared to some of the fishy dishes the family whip up! That fish smell can linger in the house for weeks 🤣🤣!!
Ah nice - November is a great time to visit - if the planets align we should be back there then as well :) But will keep you in the loop mate!
Cheers and hope you are well!
Marc
Nice video, oh I'm from the northern suburbs of Melbourne, what about you guys?
G'day Rim! Mate, all i'll say is that we are North of Northcote but South of South Morang ;) Nice to see another representative of the Great Northern Burbs here! Do you get to visit Cambodia much? Thanks for watching & the comment mate - glad you enjoyed the video!!
Yes been there 3 times mate , anyway enjoy your tours n best wishes
🙏👍🍻🍻
So how much per kilo U$ in Siem reap?
It varies from year to year depending on the season. I think we paid about $15USD a kilo (maybe a little more). I'll see if we can get some updated info straight from the source!
So Kinal was right in that even for locals it's a pretty expensive treat!
Just searched Angkor Market Siem Reap - $7 USD A kilo!
