Tim, as a Pitt-Minion lover, I was very excited when Cambridge announced the new Diadem with the larger font. And I was really looking forward to a Diadem NASB2020, but they surprised me and published the NASB95 instead. Since I already have a Cambridge Clarion NASB95 (a great Bible!), I swallowed my disappointment and ordered the Humble Lamb NASB2020 HIStory Bible when it was announced. It arrived in August and I am very pleased with it.
Pastor Tim, how’s the line matching on your copy? I’ve noticed the line matching left a lot to be desired on a couple of copies of the NASB Diadem I’ve looked at so far. We’re not talking a few pages here and there; the lack of QC was quite surprising, and disappointing for the price.
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews Take a look at Song of Solomon and Isaiah. Also noticed how faint the print was in parts of Genesis and Exodus...very uneven. In contrast, the Belarus printed ESV hardback is spot on. Go figure!
Thank you Tim, I appreciate the comparisons. I do like a little bigger & darker font and my preference is red letter( in my black letter bibles I either highlight or go through underlining the words of Christ).
Hi Tim, Thanks for the review. A few questions: Does this edition have the supplied words in italics? Is it worth $140 (new)? Do you prefer it to the Pitt Minion?
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews Thanks for the quick response. What do you think would be a fair price (i.e. at what price point should I be willing to buy one?)
When (if) this comes out in a tenish to elevenish font, I might consider it. I don't care how well spaced the letters are, or how high they are. My eyesight struggles even with a 10 point at times, depending on how the text is printed.

Love my NASB95 pitt minion and really want the Diadem, but that price is so steep. Maybe someday but it's very pricey.

I’ll take another look, but I didn’t notice any real difference from the ESV.

The NASB has the supplied words in italics for the 1995. No. I do not consider it to be worth $140 in the calf split. Cambridge is a bit overpriced.

To me, considering what I’ve seen, $90 is fair. However, the text block is exclusive so there is value there I suppose.
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews Do you have a copy to sell?
No.

Fair enough. My point wasn’t that if you need a large print this will work. I was simply pointing out that it reads larger than it actually is.
Pstr. Tim, we’re you able to review the NASB handcrafted from Holman?
It’s ordered but I don’t have it yet.
I like the concordance
Clarion all the way for me!
Is this the one that’s been out for a while now or is this a new one?
It’s been out a few months.
It's hard to beat the good old LPUT
Never personally cared for the center column reference Bibles. They look too crammed in to me, I prefer more breathing space.
It was my first love. But I’ve since moved on to bottom reference.
Does the ESV Diadem also have red letter like the NASB diadem?
Yes. The leather-bound though, and not the hardback.
