    I purchased this Bible after having the hardcover, because I wanted the Apocrypha. After using it for a little over a year I continually find it a joy, being just the right size, to me, for reading in bed. It is hard to beat the work of Royal Jongbloed and their execution here is flawless. The Apocrypha here is more complete than most Bibles, including our Roman Catholic ones. On first seeing it after delivery I wondered whether I'd find the calfskin cover to be too smooth for easy holding but it hasn't been the case. I'm not a fan in general of center reference columns, but I also really enjoy the large chapter and verse postings on each page. This is so very easy to scan quickly through when looking for a particular passage.

    If this was verse by verse, it would be perfect! Love this Bible. I’m really liking the ESV right now

    A KJV Diadem would be about perfect. My everyday carry is a KJV Pitt Minion.
    Interesting to see Cambridge publishing the CSB now - it's an interesting translation and gets some things right a lot of others have trouble with (like John 3.16).

      Agreed! With the diadem being an enlargement of the Pitt I see no reason why it shouldn’t be produced unless it was felt it wouldn’t sell in a crowded market?

    Thank you. Binding very nice but what is the text please? KJV is text us reception. Most modern ones I have seen are Nestle. Allan’s text not the same. It’s what’s on the pages which is really important! God bless you.

    Cambridge makes very nice Bibles but I think this edition looks too busy and really doesn't allow the text to breathe. I think they just try to add too much on each page. The size is perfect but if they could have given more margin, larger text and/or more space between letters and lines it would be better, even if it had to be slightly thicker to compensate.

    I’d like to see them do different calfskins in FY

    Thank you for the review Mark. This is a beautiful edition. Is the pagination the same as the Pitt Minion. Also when will the CSB edition be available and do you know if Cambridge will be be producing a CSB Pitt?

      @BurtonBibles  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You’re welcome Mike. Yes pagination would be the same as it’s an enlargement of that text. Not sure if timeline for the CSB, maybe late this year or early next perhaps? I see no reason why there wouldn’t be a CSB Pitt Minion, a natural replacement for the NLT!

    Thanks for the video Mark! Is the quality of the pages of the Diadem calfskin the same as the Diadem Calfsplit?

      Yes I believe they use the same paper

    Mark, I was hoping that Cambridge would publish the Diadem in the NASB2020 version. but they opted for the NASB1995 version instead. To assuage my disappointment, I pre-ordered a NASB2020 from Humble Lamb (due sometime in August). However, I am thinking of purchasing the Diadem ESV - just can't decide between the brown calf split or the black calfskin (both are lovely). I'm also looking forward to future Diadem offerings. I'd love to see a Diadem NLT version, and I really believe that Cambridge is missing the boat in not producing more NLT Bibles. This is a translation that is growing increasingly popular in the U.S. How well is it doing in the UK?

      Hi Guy, thanks for the comment. Unfortunately we won’t see any more NLT Bibles from Cambridge, for the foreseeable future anyway. I think it does ok over here but possibly doesn’t do as well as the NIV, NRSV and ESV. I may be wrong of course! I really like their Filament Bible myself. I’d recommend the black calfskin, it is so flexible and looks amazing.
