I just received it a few days ago. I struggle with ptsd due to a severe disability. PTSD causes me to become very frustrated. Every time I feel like giving up I pick up this Bible. Recently I was having an episode and I was about to throw it. I opened it up first to a random devotional in the front. It spoke to my heart so much I screenshot it to have it in my phone. So if you struggle with believing God… or disappointed in Him….or angry….get this Bible. I got the olive green one.
I can’t believe you can get this Bible for $75 from Lifeway!!! A goatskin Bible with a devotional is just an insane deal. I’m pumped to get mine this week
I just ordered one for $75 from Lifeway. I couldn’t believe I could get such a beautiful Bible for that price. Thank you Tim for a great review. Blessings
@@BigStack-vg6ku once you’ve had a chance to make your way through My Utmost for His Highest, check out his biography- I think it’s called “Abandoned to God.” Lots of good reading.
This is pretty cool! I enjoy reading both Chambers' "My Utmost for His Highest" and Surgeon's "Morning and Evening" devotions. Yet, I don't read the CSB. I'm looking forward to the Jonathan Edwards Study Bible when that comes out.
That is a stunning Bible! I'm not a KJV only person, but the way this is done makes me wish they did this for the KJV. I don't need another CSB so this one won't be on my wishlist. In all honesty, this translation is near the bottom of my preferred list. Gosh it's beautiful though. :)
Interesting. Definitely something to consider. On the down side, I'm mildly resistant to citations that refer to the page number of the original work. This is because there have been times when a preacher has quoted something from a book, and the pagination in the copy I have is different, impeding my ability to quickly find and read the quote in context.
Due to my obsession with premium Bibles, I one day thought of a different type of gilding than gold or silver and my mind immediately jumped to pennies and I thought of bronze gilding and Holman just went out and did it! 😊
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews Hence the dare? It is scattered along three different locations by no less than 4 denominations, so it seems tradition does not have much objection. Niether does the canonical ordering of books over the centuries.

Thank you so much for mentioning this!!!
Awesome review!
I pre-ordered one. It should be here Friday. I'm with you, Tim: the copper gilding is amazing!
Such a beautiful Bible and a great price! I can’t wait to receive it.
Would be cool to see some copper accents in premium kjv and nkjv bibles from Schuyler or Allen or Cambridge.
I love it. And moves me to know Oswald Chambers🎉🎉🎉🎉
One of the very few Bibles with non-Biblical content I would consider purchasing. Thanks for giving us a good look at this beautiful edition.

Mine shipped today. I'm planning on using it for reading through the Bible next year.
Yay Tim. You’re my favorite and only Bible review channel. I will enjoy this as it’s my first time hearing about this book and this guy.

Holman is killing it as of late. That copper guilding is a revelation

So nice!! Thank you so much for this review!! 😊
Whew. At first I heard it as the “Lee Harvey Oswald Study Bible”. That would be an interesting one for sure.
😳

A KJV would be very fitting for sure!
I'm not normally in favor of Bibles with a person's name attached but I might have to make an exception for this one.

Really cool! Not bad at all for $150.
Check the Lifeway site. It’s even cheaper.
@@anickelsworthbiblereviews Sweetness, thanks Tim!
What GSM is this? How's the opacity?
I am not sure of the GSM but the paper looks great.
🌟🌹🔥🌹🌟
Would you purchase this Bible if you didn't have it?
Perhaps not the premium, but if I was looking for a CSB and saw this edition it would certainly be a great option I would consider.
Is it the ORIGINAL or the UPDATED version of My Utmost for His Highest????
I’m not familiar enough with any original it to say. I’d say the language is updated.
It's the modernized version.
The Modern Classic. Updated, BUT more like Oswald’s words than the ‘update’ in 90’s. 👍🏼 It is done very well!
I triple-dog-dare CSB to put the apocrypha in front of genesis and see what happens.
First of all that isn’t where it goes by any tradition, and second that’ll never happen.

Hence the dare?

Eh, 'My Utmost for His Highest' has a very strong mystical/charismatic lean that makes me not very fond of it.
OK.
