I for one was really looking forward for the diadem but honestly after this comparison; the Topaz is a much more beautiful and easier to read bible. That red and black interchange from a visually aesthetic point of view I believe is the apex of formatting for bibles.
For the price Cambridge charges for these Bibles every single one should have the leather liner. The polymer liner just looks ugly whereas the Topaz looks great. Also for the price of these Bibles every single one should have highest quality ribbons. I prefer three different colors for three ribbons. The problem of verse by verse format is it destroys the meaning that paragraphs give to the text. I would say that when it comes to premium Bibles there are pluses and minuses to each one. Of course personal preference is a huge factor. Has anyone found the "perfect" premium Bible?
Thanks for doing this video 👍🏽 It actually makes the decision much harder, the layout of the Topaz is perfect imo, however the cover of the Diadem I feel is nicer & the size makes it more portable. I will probably opt for Topaz in Calfskin instead of goatskin
Thanks for this great review! Do you know if either the Diadem or the Topaz edition has the same text layout as the Cambridge ESV Wide Margin & Pitt Minion versions? I own both the Wide Margin and Pitt Minion (both have the exact same text layout). I have the ESV Clarion and it is not the same text layout. I’ve always wanted a mid-sized version of my Cambridge Wide Margin. Thanks for any info.
Any idea if they are coming out with different translation versions of the Diadem? I am a big fan of the NASB so specifically that one I would love to see made in the Diadem format!
Good comparison. I think that the unjustified, excessive, prize of the Diadem is, in part, due to the controversy that happened last year between Cambridge and some rebinders who were buying the hardbacks to offer them in premium leather covers. Cambridge expressed their disagreement with the situation, but must have taken note of the prizes that rebinders were charging (as we know rebound Bibles are usually more expensive than any premium leather Bible as directly made by the publishers) and, under the premise that people can pay more for the Diadem, now they wanted to increase their profits. I suspected this could happen. I wanted to get one Diadem in cafskin, but the prize is definitely excessive.
My chief complaint with the Diadem (at least my hardcover copy) is the print is not a truly dark black. Do you find this to be true in the leather version as well?
Almost every bible review ive seen, you guys have imitated pastor everhards creativeness with his bible. It irks me. I just don't see why. I could never put another mans creativeness in my bible. It must be my own.
The perfect page layout is the Diadem!
Perfect book size too!
The diadem is the perfect match!

I am unsure. I would imagine they would though!
I think Cambridge is working on a NASB Diadem.

How is the red letter consistency? I heard it’s pretty bad in John chapter 7?
Chris, why the erroneous ESV, Why wasn't money on it.
I heard that the red letter is inconsistent around John chapter 7 is that true? I’m thinking about getting one but I am unsure about the red letter
Topaz due to darker font
Where can I get a free bible though the mail?

I am curious as to what you mean...could you be a little more specific?
@@booklover3959 that was the epitome of being specific. I'm sorry, I couldn't be any more clear.
