The idea of having a piece of track that you don't operate at all kind of broke my brain--in a good way. Your ability to make these kind of choices (like ripping out rail service to an industry) speak of your maturity in how you handle your hobby. By the way, what is that grey diesel? I really wish I could just figure out how to mentally do this on my layout I’m so bad about doing super detailed personal op sessions I just run 12-15 car trains from the yard to my industrial layout and switch cars I feel like

I think it's fun to do whatever makes the hobby enjoyable! Sometimes I like to just run whatever I feel like as well, and sometimes I like to follow a switch list. Just depends on what mood I am in!
