That is cool and ads another level to operations and realism.

Hey Eric, I liked the idea enough to where I have a few on my layout for use as chocks. When I worked w/ the UP blue flags/lanterns (not to be confused w/ blue derail signs) were used by the roundhouse and car dept. and could only be taken down by that craft, so pretty realistic. 👍 In the Oakland intermodal tracks sum times we would find both blue and red flags up (always just past the switch) and the red flags were used by the people handling the containers so both crafts would have to come out to take them down... So great ideas!! 🤗 David

Thanks for commenting with your very helpful information! That is good to know what you did on the prototype railroad and how closely it resembled the model railroad. Great stuff!

Any updates on the railroad? It’s been a little bit since your last train post. Is everything OK?

Great info Eric.. Once again.. I haven't been getting my notification to uploaded videos. Every once in awhile this happens. I realized that I had not seen anything from you in weeks.. so today I went to my Subscriptions.. and checked for recent uploads..and what do you know.. there you were. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! I haven't been uploading new videos lately, so that may also be why you haven't gotten any notifications recently.

I thinks it’s awesome you model the west side of the river, and I model the east side. Both are freelanced, but operate prototypically.

Interesting approach! It definitely adds realism. Question off topic: I noticed the portable grain unloader added to the Rock Island hopper. Is that a product available to purchase somewhere or did you scratchbuilt it?

So. Are there going to be any more videos to watch or do all unsubscribe and forget about this channel?
