    That's a nice setup!

For better ventilation panels an attractive solution is readily available at Hardware stores snd stores such as Home Depot. They sell decorative aluminum perforated sheets in many styles as well as several surface color finishes. It can be cut to size with metal cutting shop scissors. It will provide a lot more open area than your current metal grills but the interior of the cabinet will still be obscured from direct view of the contents. It is affordable as well. Easy to install solution!

Great video! Other than cleaning, is there any routine maintenance required? I know my diesel furnace requires routine maintenance, but I don't have any experience with a diesel cooktop and we have one coming in our new RV. Thanks again for posting this!

That's Awesome! What kind of RV are you getting that already has a diesel cooktop in it? There is maintenance that goes along with these. We have yet to experience it ourselves but over the summer we are sure that we will be dealing with it. We were told that our oven would need maintenance less frequently than the cooktop due to the probability that it will have fewer hours on it.

Thinking of adding one of these units to a sailboat. How much heat does the cooktop add to your cabin in moderate climates? And is the dry heat preferable to the moisture produced by propane?

We find the dry heat preferable to the moisture produced by the propane. As far as how much heat is added to the cabin, are you asking about when it is being used to cook on or when it is being used as a heater and what do you consider a moderate climate (what temperature range)?

@@rohdsteading5880 Thanks. I'm specifically interested in the cooking mode above 70F ambient temperatures. I have a Refleks heater for heat in cooler climates, but don't want to overheat the cabin when cooking.

Sorry for taking so long to respond, we have been traveling. At 70F ambient temperature is when we really think about whether we are going to use the stove or not. It will typically raise the temperature in the cabin by about 5 degrees even with the door and windows open. We have also used it when we are at full hookups with the AC running but it will still raise the cabin temperature. Our rig is 28'x8' inside to give you an idea of the size cabin that is being heated up by the stove.

It does work great for heating the cabin. We have had a great experience with it. We do not use it in below freezing temperatures however because we need to keep the enclosed underbelly on the trailer warm and in those instances we use our main furnace. If you only need to heat your main cabin and not the underbelly, it is a great option!

I’m guessing you don’t have to get the oven with the cooktop. I’m thinking of doing an induction cook top and the Wallas oven.

You are correct, you can purchase the oven by itself. In fact, we considered an induction stove top with the Wallace Oven 86D. When we are hooked up to shore power we will use a portable induction cooktop. We do not currently have the capabilities to consistently power an electric cooktop when we are not plugged in. If you are interested in how the induction compares to the Wallace Nordic DT cooktop, we made a video comparing the two. th-cam.com/video/stL6mhc6HYQ/w-d-xo.html

How long does it take to cool down?

It takes at least an hour to cool down.

For that price tag I'd prefer a dehumidifier and a stove I don't have to tinker with. Maybe when they figure out how to make both sides work the same I would consider buying one.
