- This poor Baby Tiddley-Winks Little Pony (G1) had some severe tail rust. I was planning on only working the hair but couldn't help giving it a tiny UV light treatment as well. It was cute before but it's now become absolutely irresistible O.O My sweetest My Little Pony restoration and repair :)

Hi! Any idea of how I can "recolor" the body of a pony? Most of my ponies was pink or purple, but now seems brown or grey, it's like his vinyl body was discolored by time.
Hi! Yes, you can use synthetic fiber dye to recolor a pony. I use Rit DyeMore. My next video was going to be one about it, actually, but I used too much dye and it's way too dark now xD You need to add a little dye to boiling water and submerge the pony for just some seconds. The pony shouldn't touch the bottom of the pan. I hope I can succeed and show you how to do it soon :/

Thanks, I'm in the process of cleaning out a rusty Locket and can't get the clamp off
Oh it's a PAIN for sure. I try to use different tools and do it when I'm feeling both strong and patient xD but it usually takes me a while. Once you open the clamp a little bit you can slowly take the hair out, you don't need to open the whole thing. Maybe that helps!

Aaw I liked this one a lot as I lost my first tiddlywinks in a ASDA super market when I was 7 and I thought I would never get another one because she came with the lullaby nursery so I got really upset (there was no eBay then yes I’m that old XD ) eventually I did get another though :)

I don't actually know, sorry! I don't have any of the new ones (well, only the Stranger Things one but I don';t plan on decapitating it any time soon :P). I would hope Hasbro learnt their lesson.

Hi there! You can fill the holes and missing parts using epoxy putty (it's a paste that you mix , milliput would be the cheaper option and apoxy a more expensive one). You will need to paint afterwards to match the color of the vinyl, as the paste comes inly in grey or yellow. But it's definitely doable!

Hi! It depends. I sometimes buy them and keep them, other times I repair them for friends and send them back. And occasionally I do commissions (and of course send them back :)). Do you have a pony that needs restoration?

@@WhenLemonsGiveYouLife Pindot is mold stuck in the plastic. The first thing you should do is disinfect with alcohol, vinegar or oxiclean. Then you can scrape it with your nail (not pleasant but very effective) or a soft tool. You can also use magic eraser or an ultrasonic cleaner. The idea is to push the dots out. They're not easy but they do come out!

i've watched a lot of ur pony restorations and i wanted to warn u about using peroxide on them!! this post explains it better ( flashprance.tumblr.com/post/650580514491826176/mlpmemories-heckyeahponyscans-when-to-use-acne ), i don't remember if you used it in this specific restoration but in short, it can discolor the vynil of the ponies in the long run
Hi!! Thank you. Acne cream is indeed the worst thing you can use to clean ponies. However, acne cream has Benzoyl Peroxide. What I use is Hydrogen Peroxide, which is safe to use (mostly. Some darker colours in Nirvana ponies can be affected with long exposure). Benzoyl became popular in doll restoration communities because it's easy to find and doll skin tends to be very white so there is no bleaching. But it should indeed NEVER be used on ponies. Hydrogen peroxide, however, is safe :)
