This is a simple restoration but I hope you enjoy it as much I did! Today we have a Confetti (as usual, from Argentina - I promise this is the last one for a while!). The pony, unlike the original Confetti, was orange/pink and had emerald hair. I cleaned it, cleaned it some more, added the hair, and repaired the eyes and cutie mark. Let me know what you think :)

Thank you 😊 I think the colour is definitely not like the original (it looks very bright, almost neon inside) but I think it's quite nice still too, especially with the emerald hair!
Oh my goodness, I think the part that surprised me the most was the color change after the UV light... I was expecting the original color to be a way lighter orange but it was PINK. 😲 Amazing work, the hair looks lovely! 🥰

In the description you say you promise this is the last Argentinian pony for a while, so I just wanted to say that I love seeing these variants! They're not as documented online as the US ones, so it's like, exciting getting to see some of the ones I'm not used to seeing all the time!
Edit: I mean I like seeing the US ones too, of course, I'm just saying, I'm not over here saying "oh no, not another Argentinian one!"
I feel the same! I don't know much about mlp in general so it's fun to see so many different ones.
I love Argentinian ponies and I have A LOT of them, because I had been buying all through the lockdown xD but I am a little scared the videos end up all being pretty similar... I am planning more customs, so I think that could result in a better mix. I would also love to repair ponies from other countries, especially the piggies from Spain ☺️☺️

Ah, the magic eraser really did wonders! And the pony is very cute to boot - I really love pink and green together in character designs.
I have a question - do you actually get so many ponies missing their manes and tails from the get go, or do you remove these pre-recording most of the time?
I agree with loving green and pink designs. They're always so nice to look at. I think that's because they're complementary colours?
I haven't removed any manes/tails so far. The majority of there Argentinian ponies are in really bad shape when I get them - these are the ones I can afford, because nirvana (foreign) ponies cost A LOT! I get them from the local market and then my family sends them to me. I love the colour combination too 😊😊

Great work once more. I love how the pony looked after the uv treatment, she became so much more vibrant.
I finally found my g3 Tira Mi Su pony and found out that even in generation 3 in the 2000s they were using metal clamps and washers for the tails! I used your videos as a bit of a guide on what to do with the rust.
I'm always amazed how much a pony can change. Your videos always make my day ^^
I'm so glad the videos were helpful! I really want to do a G3 some day. I can't find any in bad condition and I feel bad customising the ones that look good 😊 But it's great to know they use similar things for the tail!

I learn a lot from these videos! I keep thinking the rerooting is too long, but then the curls would end up too short otherwise! I need to keep this in mind when I try my hand at doll customization! ;3
I'm very glad you find the videos useful ☺️ To be honest, I tend to leave the hair too long but in this case it happened to work for the curls 😅
you can always trim the hair if it ends up to long, it'll be more rerooting if it ends up to short

i must say, the ponies with the tighter curly hair are the ones i like best ^^ the swoopy semi-straight hair is ok but it just doesnt feel as fun and joyful

Watching your videos reminds me of the Ponies I had as a little girl. One of them was modeled in the same pose as Confetti here. Mine was sort of a lavender, with very light haie (might have been white at one time, but my hazy memory pictures it almost like a platinum blonde...?). Sadly, I don't remember her cutie mark. I just thought her pose was interesting--like she was ready to prance off on an adventure!

I was hoping in your next restoration video you could show what it looks like whenever you DON’T mix the 2 colors to transition multi colored hairs? Been very much enjoying your content and for some odd reason the rehairing parts and when you transition the hair colors is my absolute favorite part! ☺️

Something I've noticed so far with the nirvana ponies is they're often some combination of green and orange, green and yellow or green and pink. I guess Argentina just really likes green?

Would it be too much if you tried to dye the body with Rit dye more, to restore some of the color? That might be a little too much, but it would possibly do wonders for the more damaged of ponies. Your videos are so relaxing btw
I would love to try rit dye but to be honest, I have attempted it in the past and failed miserably. So I'm scared now! But that could work, the colour does "stick" to vinyl! Thank you so much for your message 😊😊

I loved the hairflip you gave at the end - it made me think of Ms Piggy (probably inspired by the colour scheme, her pink & Kermit's green).
I also wondered : can you re-use the tails of the zipties in any way? You must have quite a heap by now!

Thank you 😊😊 I use regular soap, I think any of them would work (mine is generally dove cause it's the one I use for me :P). You can also use dish washing liquid.

Thank you 😊😊 I sand the vinyl when I notice there's dirt or superficial marks that won't come out with acetone, hydrogen peroxide, etc. It;s also great for when the plastic has broken or was chewed (this happens a lot with unicorns). An alternative is to use magic eraser, but it's not as "powerful".

If you pour the boiling water over the hair with the curls in, won't that undo the toilet paper or make a mess?
I thought that would happen too but it stays in place! As long as you don't pull it too much. Pouring itself doesn't seem to harm it ☺️
where does she find all these neglected/damaged ponies?
The Argentinian ones,nI buy from the local equivalent of eBay and sometimes from a FB group (one of the biggest collectors knows I am always looking for the most damaged ponies). Then I get my family to kindly send them to me, as I live in the UK 😊😊 (it's a team effort lol)

I have a question) surprise surprise its me once again) on a certain thing. you usually use a specific kind of oxi clean while giving your ponies baths from what ive seen, and now im wondering. are there other soaps you would recommend for washing ponies or is that it? asking for a pony covered in nail polish
Hi Lettuce 😊 I got so much oxi clean still that it's all I use, but there are different kinds that work the same way. However, they won't help you with the nail polish. The only thing that does is acetone, which also erases symbols and eyes. I honestly don't know if there are other products that do that. If you have acetone (or acetone-based nail polish remover) and the polish is not on painted parts, that's what I would use. Alternatively... Maybe hot water and scraping? Sorry I can't be of more help, I need to do more research!
@@RetroGeekCrafts thanks! i have used nail polish on the pony, and it works! i also uncovered the eyes and symbols, and I'm currently using a pair of scissors to carefully scrape off the nail polish, but i think i may have used paint on the head and half of the body, and it isnt coming off at all.... im guessing it was acrylic, and do you by any chance know what works on that?? thank you again local pony doctor!
