You are really good at making benchmarks , especially comparing the same TDP and battery life, could you do the same thing with an Ayaneo 2 or another 6800u handheld vs the Ally?
Thank you so much for your feedback and for taking the time to comment! I'm glad you appreciate the benchmarking content. It's definitely an interesting idea to compare the Ayaneo 2 or another 6800u handheld with the Ally, so feel free to send one over 😜. Jokes aside, I'm planning to open a poll once the channel reaches 1K subscribers, where you and the rest of the community can vote on which device you would like to see next on the channel. Once again, I really appreciate your support and input. It's comments like yours that motivate me to keep creating content. Thank you! 😊
Yeah, I'm either playing with the Medium or Ultra presets using FSR Performance at 1080p 25W. These are the results I got at 1080p th-cam.com/video/_BoSEA3vIsY/w-d-xo.html just in case you missed them.
Notice there is little extra performance drop on the Deck from 15 TDP to 10 TDP as at 11TDP is where the Deck custom chip is the most efficient. Most of the 7 extra watts going from 10 TDP to 15 TDP turns mostly to heat. It's the somewhat the same with the 7840U chip after 20 TDP most of the extra wattage becomes heat. I've noticed most people compared these handhelds like they are comparing desktops. Of course a gaming desktop with a 3080 will outperform a desktop with a 3060. I would expect nothing less. There is a some cases where a 3060 can outperform a 4060 due to the 3060 having 12 Gb of Vram vs 4060 8 Gb. What makes a good desktop doesn't necessary make a good handheld. Since both the Deck and Ally are handhelds then battery life as portability is a factor. The Ally is clearly the winner if you only want to play the Last of Us 50 minutes with better performance but if you want to play The Last of Us twice as long on the go then the Deck is clearly the winner. Remember the Deck and Ally are PC handhelds and not desktops. Neither of them can compete with a desktop in performance if you are only judging them as desktop or even a laptop.
Ally is definitely not worth double the price of Steam deck when seeing these comparisons. İt'outshines when docked but i buy it for its probability. Otherwise i would buy a laptop with rtx 3050 Tİ for that price.
a laptop with rtx 3050 is more expensive than Ally and has no battery life at all, you have to play connecting a controller etc, totally different experience compared to the Ally, even when plugged to the charger or battery bank
@@genio5311 Youre wrong. Here is a link with an laptop rtx 3050TI for €800 and its the same price as a Ally but way more powerfull. Also less than an hour of battery life isnt portable so it isnt worth to buy an Ally.
Don't agree with our verdict? We'd love to hear your perspective. Drop your comments below.

Thanks! Exactly what i was thinking
I play the last of Us 1080p preset FSR on Performance, gives a great balance on quality and performance, stable performance around 50-60 fps 25w

Great content. Can you compare gotham knights and sons of the forest side by side ?
I'll add them to the backlog, thanks for watching and commenting!

@@genio5311 No, it's not more expensive right now. It's now actually cheaper. However I agree on the form factor.
