    “How do two brothers get into the nail care business?” This is the single most common question people ask us. There’s a long and rocky version but we’ll give you the short one. We have our fearless and unconventional mother, Young Salo, to thank. With a single-minded entrepreneurial spirit, she decided to start her own business at the age of 49. She had a passion for the nail industry and we did everything in our power to support her. In the end, this is a family business.
    Greg, the older brother, became a licensed nail technician after switching gears from fire fighter’s training. He is energy personified and has a true passion for developing the best professional nail care products and education. Habib is the younger brother. He jumped in a few years later; taking a detour from medical school and a life in music. He brings his own creative mind for business, marketing and strategy. Unexpectedly, we are a perfect team.
    Today, more than 20 years later, Young Nails Inc., is a professional nail care manufacturing company exporting to over 40 countries worldwide and distributing domestically to over 3000 stores. We’re respected for our next-level product innovation and education. Our mission is to bring you the best quality products and we’ll show you how to use them with incredible results. It’s really that simple.
    Welcome to the Young Nails family!

    A nail form shouldn't be put underneath the nail. It should be against the nail to prevent leakage.

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We teach to clip down the majority of the free edge and place the form flush underneath the nail, without a gap. If there is a gap, you need to customize your form so it fits up to the nail. If there is no gap, the product won't leak through.

Maybe you should show that too even thought i never see you or greg do that and i wonder why! Thanks again and keep safe! Love you guys ❤️

      Once you put your form on put a dryer bead of clear acrylic just on the free edge of the nail and just onto the form then let it dry before applying the rest,that will stop you getting that bit underneath the nail.

    • @brooke3140
      @brooke3140 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'm the weirdo who wants the acrylic between the form and underneath my nail. It makes it smooth, something I despise about tips. It sandwiches my nail. It's not excessive buildup or anything just a thin line. It hides my natural nail also so I can keep growing them out

    Thanks for the comments about the extended hyponychium, or the "quick." I've always wondered why they grow with false nails (I like it because my nails are supported better.) One tip for others: The hyponychium will recede drastically if you use cuticle oil underneath your nails. I found out the hard way thinking that oil under my nails would help make them stronger. For those whose hyponychium is extended oil does help though. I have this problem on my toenails. Maybe I will also try pushing them under in the shower as you said.

    Please please please show me how to pinch my form without twisting my c-curve :(
    Your forms are the easiest to use for me out of all the ones I've ever tried, because of how easy it is to pinch the end. The little silver bit where it joins up to the blue is a godsend - however if I want to make a shorter nail than the whole length of the form (always as I have ski slopes) then I always end up squashing the form. And it's the only thing holding me back.

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you want a shorter almond/coffin nail, start by pinching just the end like you would for a stiletto. Apply the form at a slightly downward angle and then carefully, from the end of the form, pinch a little at a time until the form is almost at the length you want. As you pinch the form shorter, it will appear to lift up the end of it, so that slightly downward angle will come up straight out from the nail.

      It would be similar as to how she was describing the nail biter application. You want to get the form as flush up to the nail as possible but you can't completely customize it, the product will overlap those areas and come down onto the form. We generally do not want product coming in contact with the skin, but this is a one time application and is not repeatedly exposing the skin to the product.

    Please show how you apply forms when using Gel on severly bitten nails. Most clients don't have the nice nail beds Stephanie does.

      Our website only ships to the continental US. We will link our list of distributors so you can see who sells our products near you. If you don’t see a distributor in your country, simply zoom out on the map until the closest one pops up and get in contact to see if they ship to your location. www.youngnails.com/pages/locate-distributor

    Thank you so much for posting this video. I tried to use builder gel on my nails 3 days ago. I went through 10 forms total on only 2 nails and still didn't get a decent extension. I definitely needed this video.

    I only been practicing nails for a month, and for some reason the forms seem easier than tips but usually it’s reverse for most people. Still early for me to tell bc I’m a beginner but I was surprised.

      I found forms easier right from the start too. 3 years in, i never use tips, all my clients have been converted to fully sculpted nails and they love it. I never really got the hang of tips

    And for nails with a naturally strong C-Curve, we do the same as we would a square nail?

    • @youngnailsinc
      @youngnailsinc  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Similar as long as the nail plate has no corners, you want to be sure the form is flush
