Decided to learn how to do nails and start a business with my girlfriend. Was brought to these videos and have fallen in love with the tutorials and lessons I learn immediately.
I wish everyone at YN could feel the level of appreciation and gratitude I have towards you all. It's not just about the nails, it's the knowledge and the confidence you give away for free. ❤
Thank you so much for going in depth on the application of nail tips. Y'all work with nail forms usually, so I got excited when I saw the notification of this nail tips video. I've seen quite a few videos on nail tips, but I knew you guys would go into the detail that I needed to become more comfortable and confident in applying tips.
Btw, THANK YOU LADIES FOR THE VERY WELL DONE TUTORIAL!! I’ve had my eyes open for exactly what you presented here & for some time all while fubar every time I try to do tips with acrylic overlay lol 🎉 NOT ANYMORE THANKS TO THIS VIDEO, for the first time.. SUCCESS!! ❤ Much appreciation for your time & talent & kindness in showing us how it’s done!! Thank you again! 🤩 Rockstars Af!!
This was EXTREMELY helpful and ive been trying to find a tutorial like this for over a year now ! Thank you!!! 🖤 I appreciate all your hard work and offering all this information. I love youngnails! 🙌
There are simply no words to describe how amazing your teachings are. I did an online Polygel course between Dec 2020 - July 2021. I have my certificate but I've not been 100% confident to start offering enhancements on my services as I've always lacked somewhere. After watching this video which you recommended for me. I tried your method (I used base UV gel instead of glue...as my glue is finished) The technique is on point. I just need to brush up on my French tips as the smile line didn't come out so clean ..but overall I can now apply a tip 🥰 I'm so excited. Pretty soon I will be able to add on extensions to my services list. Thank you so do much 💓
At least this isn't "Things I wish I knew before performing my first brain surgery". This video was nicely done. Thank you for sharing this information. I appreciate your time and expertise.😀
I probably should practice some with tips. I prefer forms because they are customizable, but I should be comfortable with tips as well so thank you for this video.
Thank you soooo very much for this video it helped me tremendously!!! I’ve been struggling with the steps not knowing if I should use swipe in the mail after prep before I apply the tips great video as always you guys have taught me more then school ty sooo very much great job to all of you
I just started getting into nails and I do hope to become a nail technician.. I just started watching your videos and they are very informative and understandable 😊.. thanks you so much! I’m a new subscriber all the way from Jamaica 🇯🇲, one love ♥️
I personally really like this particular woman for the informational videos! She's super down to earth and rea easy to understand! I feel like i could see her being in my group of girlfriends! ❤👌
It's forever and a day since I've used tips. The one thing I forgot about was thinning out the tip before application. This video is definitely going to be shared with my students. I'm pretty sure that not one does this. Looks like the freshman teacher dropped the ball on this.
I’m in training using tips and this was great advice. My teacher gets us to apply the tips and then blend but I keep damaging the natural nail. Definitely going to try this next class
It's called "pre-tailoring" your tip! Great that you did the video but by the time I size and or pre-tailor 10 tips, I already have 4-7 nails sculpted!!!
🙋🏽♂️Hey YoungNail's team! With the holidays coming up, and my girlfriend's birthday I want to get her a kit from YoungNails, but I don't really know what to get when I went to your store online. She likes to keep polish on her nails but does complain about the short lifetime of the polish she uses. She's not currently into the acrylic or anything that adds thickness to the nail because she types a lot. If I buy her a one stage gel polish from your website do I need to also buy her a LED light to cure it? All the kits seem centered around acrylic is there one for gel Polish, because I would also like her to have access to the other products I see in the kits like the buffer and cleansing pads. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys
Get the instant studio kit! It’ll give her EVERYTHING needed, and it’s waaaay cheaper than any of their other kits. It comes with top and base as well as 3 colored polish. None of those need a light to cure. It also comes with buffers, tips, and tons of other accessories. Anything other than GEL polish, you won’t need a light for.
@@mykalp2329 a good thing to remember is that if the bottle of nail polish is clear and you can see through it to the color inside, that's not a gel polish and you won't need a lamp for it. It'll dry on its own. Hope that helps!
Thanks for posting this! I have primer will that work or do I need to get swipe and the protein bond? I also have the apricot cuticle oil can I apply it after I put the top coat? 🖤🖤
You don’t have to use their products, but speaking from experience and using different brands, I absolutely love their prep products more than other brands
What do you do if they have a wider/deeper curved nail so when you glue the tip down the corner points on each side don’t stay down, so either 1 point or the other maybe even both wont stay?.. but then the middle of the tip is Glued on good
If you are applying with regular glue, you would simply need to apply pressure to the sides where there is a slight gap. This will press the tip to the nail surface and allow the glue to set and hold the nail down.
Gorgeous nail but i couldn't stop looking at those purple glitter nails. Omg they are so pretty. Please tell me what this is so i can go and get it asap? !!! Lol

Yes, any steps you can do ahead of time will save you time during the service. Pre blending tips, customizing forms, seasoning file edges are all things that can be done in your down time.
Protein bond is a non acid primer.. it doesn’t chemically etch the nail like a traditional primer does. Protein stays sticky.. sticks to the natural nail and then sticks the product. Here is a video on Protein Bond & how to use it: th-cam.com/video/GY8KvVKJlQE/w-d-xo.html
Swipe is an alcohol and acetone based product formulated to cleanse the nail perfectly for product. Here is a video about Swipe & how to use it: th-cam.com/video/lXxr0U-kHkM/w-d-xo.html

I've been having problems with the white tips. I had to replace 4 tips so far they haven't been on a week yet. I'm practicing on my hands. They have split down the middle 3 times on diffetent nails also had one totally come off while putting Christmas 🎄 away. What am I doing wrong?
You would apply the same way. The nail tip would just cover more surface of your natural nail. You would also blend it the same as this one; However, since it's a bigger coverage you could use your efile medium arbor band to help blend the tip with the natural nail. Or you can use your hand file if not comfortable using an efile yet. 👍🏾 Hope this helps.
With our product line, we recommend using Swipe to cleanse the nail and Protein Bond for the best adhesion. Since we don't test our products with others on the market, we can't recommend an alternative.
Yes, with well-less tips, you can adhere as much or as little of the tip as you choose. Just make sure it fits from sidewall to sidewall and the c-curve without pressing down.
Question: can you used full cover tips like regular tips? Bring up the full cover tip half way on the nail? I know they both tips but i don’t know if their is an actual difference. 🤔
Full cover tips usually have a well where the Natural nail is supposed to be, I think if you lay it too far down it will look odd or you will end up gluing it downwards trying to get the nail to fit in the well? I’m not a professional, that’s just my thought.
Yes, as long as the curve of the tip fits properly on the c-curve of the natural nail and from sidewall to sidewall, you can glue the tip on at whatever point you wish- full coverage, half of the nail or you can even file out part of the "well" area of the tip and just glue it right at the free edge like a traditional half-well tip.
I use the flawless shape xxl c curve tips with the young nails acrylic, monimer, swipe etc. But Amazon has even less expensive c curve tips that are straight too
They were doing a natural/clear look and the blending helps the tip be more invisible. If you're doing something more opaque it doesnt really matter as much.
There's a couple of reasons to blend your tips... If you are using a clear or translucent acrylic as an overlay, you want to blend the tip so you don't see the seam. Also, the less plastic you have, the more you can build the structure with the acrylic. The acrylic will be a stronger enhancement than having that full layer of plastic and less acrylic.
Our tips are made of ABS plastic and shouldn't be discoloring. Please contact our customer service team by email, send a picture of the tip and they will be happy to assist you further.

Hi, is there a difference between pro10 bond and primer
Protein bond is a non acid primer.. it doesn’t chemically etch the nail like a traditional primer does. Protein stays sticky.. sticks to the natural nail and then sticks the product.
