Ok so I’m 13 I want to do nails when I get older so i want to start young and I’m going to ask for nail kit for Christmas and I’m going to practice so this is a good video to learn from thx.

I'm a hair stylist by trade so started watching these tutorials only to do my own gel nails but the more I learn, the more I'm tempted to do a course to do nails as well as hair, thankyou so much for sharing this knowledge for free.
Hi Midge kg, I was a hair stylist by trade, but did manicure as well when training. I never did nail extensions when doing manicure. I did a nail tech course & wish I'd done it years ago. Go for it! These guys have taught me thing's I didn't learn on my course, they're the best. 😊💖💅🍀

I was terrified of cutting people. So I decided to do Russian manicure style instead. I get the job done without cutting and tearing up the natural nail. My thing was forcing myself to do only what I saw other pros doing instead of what worked for me. Thinking there was only way to do it right and do it well. My advice to my novice self: try other methods. See what works for you. Fail a few times. Reach perfection in its time.
Latoya Comer There are a lot of videos that show what the Russian manicure is but you might like to watch this video. th-cam.com/video/UOLJ_izyBj4/w-d-xo.html

Thank you Tracey this is a great help!! You are absolutely right about the basics you need to find a group of people like you to learn more and more. I've been a hairdresser for 43 years and now doing nails because I have learned so much from watching your videos and trying your products. I can't say enough how you and the team have help me!! Love it and Thank you again!
Tracey, I cannot thank you enough for this super helpful video. I'm just getting started and these are ALL my weaknesses. You are wonderful!!! 👏🏼👏🏻👏🏿👏🏽👏🏾💜💜💜
I absolutely love this video!! Starting out again after 24 years is very intimidating. And especially starting my own business renting a station and being the sole technician. All of your videos and demonstrations have really helped my fears and caught me up on all the new trends. Thank You
Thank you for the informative and to the point video. I've done 3 sets of acrylic nails now, 2 on myself and one on my mum and I've been beating myself up that they don't look perfect or I've lost a nail. Watching videos like yours is very encouraging and I can see where I'm going wrong. I feel I'll have a little more confidence next time thanks to the seasoning the sanding band tip! (Never would have thought of that) I was feeling a little discouraged but I can't wait to get back into it now. All of us as beginners should cut ourselves some slack - we're learning!
Thank you Tracey, I agree with everything you said, so true, I see my weakness at the straight side wall & cuticle area, you explained it very well. 💥♥️
Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU Tracey for doing this video. You can not understand how MUCH this video has helped me. I really wanted to go to school for nail tech, but never felt confident enough to even try. Automatically thinking I would fail, or never be good enough, I never gave this a real shot. I'm so much more relaxed about it an now i can't wait to enroll asap 😀 THANK YOOOOOOOOOOU an wish me luck 🤞🤞

Awesome video!! ❤❤ Quick question: when your filing the cuticle area after application, I've found I can actually file the area too much and suddenly I'm seeing little lifting spots and if I'm not careful I'll end up chasing it down the nail with the file. I swear in some nail videos it looks like the tech is filing the shat out of the cuticle to get it flush and it doesnt happen to them. What am I doing wrong here? Am I holding my file wrong or am I just simply over filing?
Really gave me some hope, and I liked how you spoke about being a beginner as if you were still a beginner. I notice that I make a lot of these mistakes specially not knowing how to file properly. Thank you☺️

YoungNailsInc your welcome xx
I've been doing nails for a while and definitely have made the form and filing mistake. Unfortunately in this business fellow techs are not enthusiastic about helping, it's all about money. I've had to teach myself through watching videos as, I'm sure like most, I don't have $250 to take a class for an hour and it gets discouraging. I love doing nails bur I have so much more to learn and watching these videos are absolutely helpful.
