@@christinastevenson3282 I want that for you! I was so sick for so long and when I got my first FitBit in the midst of my illness, I logged a quarter of a mile for the entire day! Basically, I walked from my bed to the bathroom and down the hall to check on my kids. Now I walk 15,000 steps a day! It was a slow process, but so worth it. I will say, I have learned the more you move, the more you can move. Everything hurts less with the more movement I get. If you haven't watched my video on 15,000 steps a day, you might find it encouraging!!
I just found your TH-cam and it’s very refreshing! I’m turning 45 this month so I want to hear from women in their 50s for wisdom😀. You’re saying so many things I can relate to. What I’m realizing is I’m becoming like my mother. When we were younger we wanted to buy our mom clothes, bags etc but we get disappointed because she would not wear them and keep using her same old clothes. She also say where will I put those stuff? Now I realize she is wise. She doesn’t want too many things. Now that I’m in my mid 40s I’m pretty much the same. Stuff doesn’t make me happy. And if there’s something that I really been wanting, I would want to buy them earlier rather than waiting so I will have more time to enjoy it.
One thing that I also stopped doing and made me happier is trying to change my husband’s habits. I’ve been trying to help him change but got frustrated every time. It just caused fights and hurt feelings. Now I know I can’t change him so I accepted him as he is, appreciates what he’s good at and live harmoniously.
Oh, me too!! I learned I can only change me, but by doing that, I can inspire those around me to grow and change too:) Every time I get annoyed with my husband, I remind myself of all of the good things he does. That helps…most of the time!!
I have stopped opening my door to relatives and friends who always drain me, my peace, and the enjoyment of my home, personal preferences, daily routines and hobbies, just because they show up, often unannounced, sometimes rousing me up from bed at night. I also cut off the cable and unnecessary expenses along with the constant shopping for clothing just because there were sales,v since I no longer have the social life to use them. I was still running a program in mind only that I awakened from realizing that I no longer had such a busy social calendar since I once attended at least five meetings per week and enjoyed dressing differently for them. No more sculptured nails and pedicures either because I do them myself along with facials, hair treatments that I thought were essential. There are many others too that I have implemented and I so enjoy learning how others are taking back their control so thanks for your input. 🌻🍃
Wow! You have really made a lot of progress towards a happier and more balanced life. I am so happy for you. I too find it helpful to learn what others are doing to take control of their lives. I'm so happy you found the video helpful.
But I was quite comfortable with my head in the sand, all kidding aside I should have pulled my head out of the sand 20 years ago instead of going through a divorce in my 60’s. But I think I will keep my stash of the perfect candles, what if I can’t find that scent again, I may need it for a special occasion! LOL I am a work in progress for sure, almost all of these really spoke to me. 😊
What things are you letting go of? Now is a great time to release the things that no longer serve you!
Health is a blessing. I used to walk all the time and now I can barely stand or sit for a long period of time. I'm going to get healthy again ❤

You are funny! Do what feels right for you! But try lighting one of those candles and allow yourself to just fully enjoy it! You are worth it!!
