Just got my PSR-E473 a month ago and will be taking it to a senior center today for performance by my IDD adult music group and needed the memory bank tutorial. THANK YOU!
I ordered the psr e 473 , its ariving tommorow night. Its gonna be my first real keyboard. Last 5 months been playing a very small midi that i bought with a mpc. And i enjoy music production so much , i never even played a note up untill 5 months ago. Now i want to learn to play the keys. Im 41 soon and realy regret i didnt get in earlier , always wanted it though.
I have a PSR-EW425 that I purchased about a month ago and have not tried to set anything beyond the main voice. This video saves me from reading the manual and playing with all of the features. Thanks for this video.🎉🎉🎉.
Finally Jeremy See, a new video that can help us all on how to operate the Yamaha PSR-E473 the right way. No wonder I haven't seen you online in TH-cam in days. Anyways I am downloading this video you just uploaded, I have downloaded more than 10 of your TH-cam videos on what kind of features these new Yamaha Keyboard can bring to bare. Love you as always and do take good care of yourself
Hello ma'am how much in your country does it cost, I'm still saving for it, caus' in my country 🇳🇬 you convert $370 is a whole big money to pay electric bills for nearly 2 years
@@CaptainChuks17 hi, I've just ordered one for my daughter to replace her older casio ctk4400. Hope it arrives in a couple of days. In order to answer your inquiry about cost, here in Argentina it's as much as my whole month salary as security guard, about u$s420. Also can say it's about 16 months of electricity bill.
I really love your tutorials. First of all, you are easy to understand and second, we can actually see which buttons your fingers are pushing as opposed to other videos where their hand covers the button area and you can't see what they are doing. Lot's to learn, but I am taking it a little at a time. Just got my PSR-EW425 keyboard and am so thrilled at all of the things it can do. Now all I have to do is learn it - with your help of course!
Have to make one more comment, I really mean it this video is fire, and thanks for making this treasure trove of a channel Jeremy! Helps me so much, just gotta figure all this out now
Thank You Jeremy, this you tube instruction helped me to fix my problems with the Split and Dual voices system. The manual is very bad in this matter but your instruction film helped me on how to do. Thank you also for your other reviews on keyboards and digital pianos. You are the very best in this matters. Thank You.
Thank you for this tutorial 😀 The interface was a little different for me. I had to dig out the user manual a few times. This keyboard has gorgeous sounds. I tweaked some of them quite bit. It's really customizable. I haven't tried the mic input yet.
Thanks Jeremy. So helpful!! Sadly had to sell my Tyros 5 as just hadn't time to do it justice and needed a simpler keyboard to enjoy when I have time. I bought the 425 having watched your videos and then found this one having just received my 425 today. I pretty soon had it worked out but not the dual voice. Now having watched this, no problem! Your videos are just the best!!👌
You most certainly did! I'm thrilled with the piano especially, frankly better than the Tyros! But, I'm using Creative PC speakers, I used these with my Roland, can't remember the model but was £2000 about 14 years ago and had no built in speakers. I couldn't believe the quality of the Creative speakers. I've tried the keyboards own speakers, but the Creatives are better still and they are inexpensive, currently £40 on Amazon!
Thank You a lot Mr.See. I'm sorry for my horrible english. Thanks ti Your perfect videos i do experience. I hope my 473 arrive in next days. Your videos of Master do me experience🤗😘
Great video to help new owners on the fabulous PSR-E473 and PSR-EW425. So easy to understand and follow. These keyboards are the ones to get, the PSR-EW425 if you need the bigger keyboard. And the Casio CT-S500 and CT-S1000V as an alternate, especially if you want a more compact and portable keyboard. The latter, if you want the innovative voice synthesizer functions. Because of that, I am getting the CT-S1000V next, with the PSR-EW425 possibly second. However, I may not be getting it as good as it is, for a few reasons. I am getting the CT-S1000V as another keyboard for the differences my Go:Keys lacks, though I wish the Yamaha and Casios had the 128 note polyphony. The CT-S1000V will keep me occupied for a long time, but the larger keyboard of the PSR-EW425 would be ideal for church and playing certain things, as I find the 61 note keyboard short, especially on the low end for certain songs. I may not need 88 keys, also making it hard to reach the pitch bend/modulation controls, so the 76 note keyboard would be more ideal for me. Which gets me back to the Roland RD 88 I wanted to get. Though costing three times that of the PSR-EW425, there is no comparison. But at that price, I can also get the new 61 note Fantom 06 and the 76 note Fantom 07 for about $200-300 more. Why that makes more sense than the 88 keys is that the 88 note keyboards may not fit in certain spaces and vehicles for transport. And the major factor that I am not a purely traditional piano player, trained and accustomed to a full weighted action keybed nor am I required to be one. Furthermore, as I mentioned earlier, as was confirmed by a reviewer of the Fantom 06/07 that the key action on those, and the over twice as expensive flagship Fantom 6/7. It seems to have improved action between the feel of a semi-weighted and weighted keyboard. And the Fantom 06/07 is less than half the price, and lighter, and more compact than their earlier flagship versions, but still incredible features, even more than the RD 88, which can do much for a stage piano. This includes 16 scenes or tones, including layers you can switch between instantly, and so much more. I meant to check, but these keyboard may have 256 note polyphony. Well worth the price for all these keyboards, if they fit your wants, needs, and budget.
That's a lot of information in one video. I will need to revisit this many times before I can feel comfortable with the features. So much to learn, so little time.
Jeremy - maybe you can help... I bought the PSR-EW425 today - can't get a WAV to play from my flash drive (it is correctly formatted) - I go through the loading process and it says "TooLong" when I hit enter. Why would this happen? The same WAV plays perfectly (on a different flash drive) on my Korg EK-50. Any help would be appreciated.
I think that Yamaha e473/ew425 is inspired from Yamaha's arrangers because for me the body of the keyboard is similar to Yamaha sx600 and the bezel looks like as on genos
G’day mate. I would be lost without you tutorial on the Yamaha PSR-E473, the instruction manual that is included in package doesn’t help in explaining the various functions of the keyboard. A big thank you from Australia. 🦘🦘
I just wish these accompaniment function will be available for guitars..really hard to find good drum machine effects pedal as complete as yamaha's complete cycle intro, verses, chorus, outro, end awesome drumfills every change close-open highhats. Realy awesome one-man band functions by yamaha..👍
Love the pace and clarity of your instructions! Inspired me to upgrade my PSR-500 to the PSREW425. I Like the number of Registrations I can save BUT I'm wondering if I will lose them if no batteries are installed and I unplug the unit.
Hello Jeremy ,thru all your experience with these keyboards, would you know which of the budget keyboards might have a midi connection for use with midi bass pedals(like for Hammond Organ) I looked up this keyboard online & find most of these keyboards don't have midi connection. Also, looking for how much I need to spend to get entry level keyboard with "split" function (for left hand bass sound) thanks Jeremy ,or anyone else that can help :)
Thank you for the video. Is it possible to Register Sync Start on E463 or 473? Suppose I am using Bank 1 and want to register the style on Registration no.1, can I register the Sync Start option along with the Style? Thanks
Thank you for this video, but I still got one open question: Can one play full fingered chords for the accompaniment and one fingered bass notes with the left hand? Or is the 1-finger accompaniment chord detection always active?
Jeremy thank you so much for this video! I bought Yamaha PSR E 473! Please❤tell me what style do you use to play He is a Pirate 🏴☠️. I can’t find the style that would suit this song.
Hey, I have noticed on the E473 the accompaniment is not a really wide stereo to allow vocals to sit in the center, is there a way Of widening the accompaniment to make it more Stereo?
Hi sir, for the Dual Voice Change i can only use the wheel to change. The Only Voice button or Num Lock Doesn't work for Dual Voice Change as you described. Can you kindly help?
I have Yahama psr i425 in my instrument there is no shift button. I am doing with other choices. Only difficulty I am getting how to save style with my own rithem by using bank. How do I creat and add layers to rithem and style.
The PSR-EW425 has 76 keys. If you have the space, and can afford it, and willing to spend the extra money, it is well worth it, especially if you play sheet music and finding yourself running out of keys, especially on the lower octaves, like lots of sheet music does. Or your playing in general extends beyond 61 one keys, closer to a conventional 88 note piano keyboard.
Hey Jeremy, in DGX 670 there is a keyboard mode called "full keyboard", means, play anywhere you want, the accompaniment will follow and catch your chords. is this possible with the 473 or 425? or are we limited to playing chords only in the left hand?
Hi can you please tell me this Can I play a music style with both hands ??like many others they press the chords and the right hand plays the melody I feel like I’m out of tune when I play along with the style using my right hand
Dear Jeremy, first thx for your always intresting info. NOW I BUY A prs 425, ALL I CAN FIND, BUT 1 BIG PROBLEM I CAN NOT CLEAR. the registraition memory, i can only the bank select to UP, 1 to 2 to 3.... BUT NOT BACK !!!!! Can you give advice.. , It is so bad, i use bank 4, want bank 3, must pusch many times to come to bank 3 ????

Hi Jeremy
Can I use my Yamaha 950,910usb styles on this keyboard
Thanks
Thank you for this video, but I still got one open question: Can one play full fingered chords for the accompaniment and one fingered bass notes with the left hand? Or is the 1-finger accompaniment chord detection always active?
Hi Jeremy! Are you going to speak about modx? Have you thought of doing any videos or tutorial? thanks!
Can you do a tutorial of how to connect a piano PSR476 to the FL studio program?

Hi sir, for the Dual Voice Change i can only use the wheel to change. The Only Voice button or Num Lock Doesn't work for Dual Voice Change as you described. Can you kindly help?
Hey sir is the issue of the screen sorted out already???
I couldn't figure out how to change the time signature for the automatic rhythms.
Hi sir

Cant find where to adjust ADSR
I have Yahama psr i425 in my instrument there is no shift button. I am doing with other choices. Only difficulty I am getting how to save style with my own rithem by using bank. How do I creat and add layers to rithem and style.
Please how to use transpose
I just purchased PSR EW 425 ,
How can I sustain voices minus having a sustain pedal 📝
Both models, the PSR-E473 and the PSR-E425, have at least 61 keys. They got my vote.
Yamaha e425 has 76 keys
The PSR-EW425 has 76 keys. If you have the space, and can afford it, and willing to spend the extra money, it is well worth it, especially if you play sheet music and finding yourself running out of keys, especially on the lower octaves, like lots of sheet music does. Or your playing in general extends beyond 61 one keys, closer to a conventional 88 note piano keyboard.
Hello Mr.Jeremy, I'm Roll from.Indonesia...I want to buy a PSR E473 for my Daughter...are you still recommended PSR E473 now? Thanks
Just bought this, I was trying to see if there was a way to make a voice sample into a custom wav voice?
why dose the main voice change after setting ?
Hey Jeremy, in DGX 670 there is a keyboard mode called "full keyboard", means, play anywhere you want, the accompaniment will follow and catch your chords. is this possible with the 473 or 425? or are we limited to playing chords only in the left hand?
Jeremy, I have a Yamaha PSR e433. It came with a USB port. Can I use it to play and save new styles? Please help.
Is there any way to change smart chord to something other than orchestra? I have this keyboard and I can't find any way to do it.
Hi can you please tell me this
Can I play a music style with both hands ??like many others they press the chords and the right hand plays the melody
I feel like I’m out of tune when I play along with the style using my right hand
Which is better?roland xps 10 or yamaha psr e473?
how to change the accompaniment to right side from left side on this keyboard piano psr-E473?
Just got mine. Hope it diesnt have the screen problem.
