    I'm a 47 year old woman with no practical auto mechanic experience, but I do know how to use tools. I replaced my 3rd cylinder ignition coil after a P0303 error and it worked fabulously. Took me about 20 minutes to do and about 12 miles of driving to clear the engine light. Super instructive! Will replace other 5 coils and all 6 spark plugs next payday! Hate to think people are paying so much for repairs! Thank you very much.

      @@NoNonsenseKnowHow Wanted to mention.... the Amazon link for a single ignition coil takes you to the Amazon home page not a product, but I've used the ones for 19.98 (get them in 1 day with prime) and this is the link. You may not recommend these but they've worked really well for me. www.amazon.com/QYL-Ignition-Coil-Pack-Trailblazer/dp/B01FO0OBGE/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?keywords=qyl+ignition+coil+pack+2005+chevy+envoy&qid=1571659767&sr=8-4

    About 6 months ago I spent 90 bucks at autozone for ONE coil..when I got home I bought 2 more for like 20 or 30 each off amazon.
    #6 went out of course..so i also replaced 5 and 4 with the two i bought online.
    Wouldn't you know it; a few oil changes later and now its time to do the other three lol
    I had to come back and get a refresher with your video. Thanks for that, I appreciate it. As you can see, alot of people feel the same way. I dont want to take money from mechanics but I dont have the $, which means i do my own work. I would've been interested to hear what the thumbs down guys had to say because i don't see any issues here. Maybe they needed more information or a slower walk through? anyway, this worked just fine for me. Thanks again!

    Hey buddy my wife's Envoy with the 4.2L has had an issue with random misfires for about 2 weeks. You can barely feel it missing & can barely see the tach drop a tad everytime it does. Weird part is it's not triggering the CEL? I bought 6 new ACdelco 41103 plugs to go in it. I'm thinking it's not a coil pack as coils either work or they don't & you'd think a bad one would set a code. What do you think or suggest? Thanks

      My connectors have a white plastic interlock piece. Pull that piece up as far as it goes, and then push the little tab in the center with a probe, or the edge of a flat screwdriver while pulling the piece the rest of the way up and set it aside (or throw it away). Next, squeeze the center top edge (near the wires) of the connector and pull the connector off like in the video.

    I'm trying to use your link to order the coils but it's saying that they are not compatible with my 06 Envoy. It's the only pack I see that looks like what I need

      I'm not sure why it would say that. If you have the 4.2 liter it should definitely be compatible.

    Not true, just cuz one goes doesn't mean the rest will go

    • @NoNonsenseKnowHow
      @NoNonsenseKnowHow  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      From my experience in the last 10 years when one goes the others are not far behind. Sure maybe they won't go, but I've replaced one coil at a time before and had the customer have to come back when the other ones that ended up going. Which they weren't happy about. Time is money for most people. Of course I would always offer the option to replace just one
