I'm torn between the Cambridge Topaz and the Schuyler Quentel. I'm sure I'd be happy with either, but I'm one of those OCD people that can spend 3 years deciding on whether to buy a pair of socks in cherry red or apple red.

You sound like me. I own both and still can't choose.

I just picked up the new Schuyler Quentel Calfskin and I find I prefer my Trutone Crossway Verse-by-Verse. I bought the Schuyler mainly for the 11 pt font but even with the smaller font the VBV pops better for me and is easier to read. Maybe I will try Cambridge Topaz.

I love to rewatch your videos. I plan on owning all the Cambridge full-size bibles.

Oh my goodness, I think that Topaz Bible is beautiful. That Bible is worth saving money for to purchase one. Thank you so much for this video.

I like that the Topaz even though verse by verse is only 1.25", compared to the Nelson NKJV Classic Reference vbv at 1.5". I look forward to seeing this in the NKJV with I assume the full translator's notes. You can tell right away that the Cambridge quality is much more elegant and refined than the Nelson, which is what I love about Cambridge. Worth the extra $$.

That Topaz sure looks spiffy! I do like the poetic setting of the NKJV, though.

Excellent comparisons, Randy. The Topaz is beautiful, but I tend to be a bit biased towards Cambridge bibles anyway. To be honest though, the new offerings from Thomas Nelson are hard to beat if price is an issue.

Is the Topaz too thin to right on with it being 28 gsm?

The Topaz is an amazing Bible. For real. If anyone hasn’t bought a copy yet then they should as it’s an experience.

Beautiful, you can tell a lot of thought went into it. I love the red. I'm not sure I'm willing to spend that kind of money on a fluid text though, when it comes to NKJV or KJV I'll take a closer look.

There’s just no comparison from the Thomas Nelson Bible compared to a Cambridge Bible. The a Cambridge Bible as a whole is just why better. You have a much better block, way better paper, and just an over all better design and bindery…No way a Harper Collins Bible is going to outlast a Cambridge, Allan, or a Schuyler Bible.
The Thomas Nelson Bibles are nice but they’re just nice in my opinion not premium. They say premium but what is a premium Bible? It’s a Cambridge, R.L. Allan, or Schuyler. It’s the materials and the bindery that makes the difference.
For $100.00 the Nelson House Bible is at a good price but when you can get a Topaz for $165.00 why not get it instead. I’ve seen these china Bibles prices as high as $150.00 so that’s kinda high when compared to a real premium Bible.
