Hi Tim! In my search for which ESV Bible to select, I followed the wisdom of you, and of your dad. Knowing that he chose the Cambridge Topaz, when he likely had his pick of anything, I began my search. I found a great deal through one of the Facebook group, and my ESV Topaz arrived today. The open-book, side-by-side comparison in your interior walkthrough was the most valuable part of your video for me. I came in thinking the Omega was what I wanted, but in looking at readability, I'm now leaning towards the Cambridge (my eyesight isn't as good as it was). Thank you.

Man, Tim, with my Crossway ESV Large Print Personal Bible starting to break apart, I'm on the hunt for a long-lasting investment, and your bible reviews are SO good, thanks heaps. I think I'm opting for Topaz, as I'm used to large 12 pt fonts on my current Bible! Thanks.

Just getting to watch this as I'm going through some of your videos. The one thing that sticks out to me is how spoiled we are in the market by bibles with gilded edges around the inner cover. Cambridge would be that much more of a threat if they added it to the Topaz, Turquoise, etc.

Great vid, thanks. I hope you do a mid size bible (5.5x8") round up: Allan ESV1, PSQ, Cambridge Concord (wish they did an ESV in this size) or you could say a Concord size Pitt Minon) and whatever else you think of.
Of the large sized bibles, I have a Topaz which I really like (verse by verse, font is not huge, red letter text) = Winner.

I got the replacement QUENTEL NASB 95 today. It is great. But a bit floppy. But I love it. A bit afraid to use it. But it is probably best 200 $ I have spent. Love the format and 11 point font. I think I understood THEY..Schuyler..will do 2020 in another version..but keep 1995 in QUENTEL.. But not sure.
I like Topaz set up. 2 columns w notes in side. I have 3 Cambridge bibles but not TOPAZ YET.

Thanks for the vids. Something I struggle with don't understand and that is why they have references on the outside (or middle) rather than gutter. Its so much easier to read main text when not reading the curve into the gutter. Do you have any thoughts on this. Kind regards Martin
I tend to agree with you, Martin. To me, references in the gutter are there when you need them, but out of the way when you don't.
Hi, Tim! Would you say the Cambridge is as floppy as the Quentel? I'm not s big fan of the "flop" but I love the layout of the Cambridge.
Maybe slightly less floppy. I love that Topaz.

Great review. I currently own the Topaz, but have eyed the newer Quentel. Spec wise they seem so similar (same 28gsm paper/ 2k Denmark) other than the Topaz verse by verse. Is the Quentel easier to read, or is there no noticeable difference between it and the Topaz?
The Quentel font looks slightly larger to me than the Topaz, but I find both of them to bey very clear and comfortable to read.

Hey Tim, actually thinking about it I might go for the Schuyler due to the 11 pt font. In real life do you sense the difference? I'm currently using a large primg 12 pt font ESV from Crossway.
I think the Schuyler Milo typeface reads really big!

I recently purchased the Cambridge Topaz and I am having some trouble finding a nice case/cover for it. I ordered one on Amazon but was too small. Can you recommend a site for bible cases for the larger bibles?
I haven’t used cases myself, but I’ve seen a few people mention using iPad cases, etc. Others have made some themselves.
I have a Thule iPad Air sleeve case that has a micro fibre lining inside so it’s soft. It also has a smaller pocket on the front for pens, both have zippers. It fits perfectly in there while maintaining a small profile for a carry case. Check it out

11pt Milo typeface on the Quentel. About $200. The Topaz is currently available in NKJV and ESV, but the line is expanding.

I love everything about Allan except the type / fonts and the fact they sometimes print in China (no line matching, lots of needless ghosting and I'd rather not support China brcause of its human rights record were its posdible to avoid doing so). So it's Schuyler for the win
I have the TOPAZ and QUENTEL in ESV. Would not want the Crossway or Allan. Based on PRINT appearance.
Allan Bibles just ain't my taste. I've seen many over the years owned by friends and they seem to come up short in the text blocks and type.
Some of them aren't that great... but a lot of them are awesome!
