Not yet. I have an open ticket wit HobbyKing technical support. The reason for the video is that they wanted me to send "evidence" of the issue. Surely they know this is a common issue though, because I've seen others comment with the same problem. Thanks for posting!
Hello, I had that problem too. It is a defective MosFet that causes the error. This is an approx. 5x5mm large component, which has 8 Pins. Usually it is near the loading exit - mostly. The best is looking for discoloration or damage to such components. The type designation is printed on the black body. After replacing, the charger will work again! Has worked with all my defective chargers!
They have a pretty simple process online. You'll have to check with their tech support center to request an RM a. Print the RMA and put it in the box when you ship it back, and they will automatically credit your account the money. The bad thing is that you do not get the refund back to your PayPal or credit card, you only get it as credit towards future Hobby King purchases.
Running into the same problem jkabee. I have 4 chargers and 3 out of 4 do this. I tried all different cables and configurations. I even tried plugging battery into it first. What does it take to return these to HK after you email them a video or photos? Thanks
