Yanmar SA424 Stump Removal
มุมมอง 15K2 ปีที่แล้ว
A small video demonstration of the capabilities of a "compact" tractor. I own and use a Yanmar SA424 around my property. Using the backhoe, some harbor freight items, and some ingenuity, I accomplish tasks most people think are beyond the scope of a small tractor such as this one.
Backhoe Dolly Build
มุมมอง 8K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Building a backhoe dolly for the Yanmar SA424. I needed a way to store the backhoe while using other implements but maintain the capability to move it around. My garage is small and having an 800lb backhoe in the middle of it isn’t practical. Special thanks to DIY My Way for his inspirational video: th-cam.com/video/I ztQj5EPs/w-d-xo.html

Installing a CC BEC on SCX-10

Simple video update on installing a CC BEC on my Jeep TJ.
Variable-6S trouble
มุมมอง 1.5K11 ปีที่แล้ว
I just got this Variable-6S from HobbyKing, along with 3 Turnigy batteries. The charger gives an error code of "Connection Break" when trying to charge the batteries. I have tested the batteries on another charger and they charg/discharge just fine. I have also ran them in an SCX-10 scaler and they were fine. This is definitely a charger issue, and I'm not the first to report it. Based on that,...

    I'm going to make one for my SA233. Question - Why not use Swivel Casters on all 4 wheels?

  • @Daniel-e3e

    Thank you, Jaybird I made my dollie after watching your video and “DYI My Way” video. I have Yanmar 324 10.5” clearance. Had to use Harbor Freight 5” wheels like yours. I couldn’t put a 2x10 under the backhoe, so I put 2x8 to the outside of the backhoe. Front ant back. Creating a notch for the backhoe bucket on the front and a notch for the outriggers on the back. Easy to line up dollie under tractor. Thank you very much. My life just got easier

    That must have been a christian tree! It built it self on the rock. If you know what I mean. Very nice tractor.

    As if removing a stump with a small tractor isn't already a pain let's throw in some massive rocks right in the way lol.

    With a couple pulleys and a tail hold setup you can get 4x pulling power, I keep notes on this in my truck since FIL showed me. Well you rock, thanks Jay. Interested in the same model. I used my Dodge Cummins last time I did this work.

    Another thing I have done is fill the hole with water and let sit a while . Also the pull of the back hoe is stronger than the tractor pull . Just some of my experience. Enjoyed your Video. I have the exact same Tractor setup

    I have a SA324 and love it. I used your basic design for my backhoe dolly. Bought my wheels from Amazon a good bit cheaper than HF, easy to move around and it works really well. Good job!

    If you will turn your phone sideways it takes a much better shot of what you filming instead of up and down. Great video too. I have a 2015 SA424 TLB I bought in 2016 and I love, love, love it.

      Agree 1000% This "little" tractor is actually quite amazing, especially if you have the skills and ingenuity to work it to maximum effectiveness. Thanks for the comment.

    Hello, I had that problem too. It is a defective MosFet that causes the error. This is an approx. 5x5mm large component, which has 8 Pins. Usually it is near the loading exit - mostly. The best is looking for discoloration or damage to such components. The type designation is printed on the black body. After replacing, the charger will work again! Has worked with all my defective chargers!

    Quick heads up .. I have the same receiver ( for dx4s ) and you should plug into bind port ( also batt port ) because if you have it plugged into aux 2 and acidently shut that channel off bec will go off..!

    I have a SCX10 and I was to run 11.1v. Do I need a BEC to do this? I also bought a Hitec HS625MG servo (apparently they are not power hungry). But anyway, to run 11.1v on a stock SCX10, will I blow up the stock ESC? Is that something I need to change or will a BEC help?

    • @MarkCarr331
      @MarkCarr331 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      you need to check maximum voltage for ALL your components prior to running 3S or you might let the smoke out... all components should have something online for the specs. Google will be your friend here.

  • @jkabee
    @jkabee 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    They have a pretty simple process online. You'll have to check with their tech support center to request an RM a. Print the RMA and put it in the box when you ship it back, and they will automatically credit your account the money. The bad thing is that you do not get the refund back to your PayPal or credit card, you only get it as credit towards future Hobby King purchases.

    Running into the same problem jkabee. I have 4 chargers and 3 out of 4 do this. I tried all different cables and configurations. I even tried plugging battery into it first. What does it take to return these to HK after you email them a video or photos? Thanks

  • @jkabee
    @jkabee 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Not yet. I have an open ticket wit HobbyKing technical support. The reason for the video is that they wanted me to send "evidence" of the issue. Surely they know this is a common issue though, because I've seen others comment with the same problem. Thanks for posting!
