Learn how to become a Top Rated or Top Rated Plus freelancer on Upwork. I have been Top Rated for many years on Upwork and have earned most of Upwork's Talent Badges on my freelancer profile. In this video, I'll explain the various talent badges that freelancers can receive on their profiles to stand out and get more jobs!
I'll also show you how you can check out your stats to see how close you are to becoming top-rated or top-rated plus on Upwork. I'll even discuss the novice "Rising Talent" badge as well as the "Expert-Vetted" badge.

Quick question, once you check all the requirements, do you automatically receive the Top Rated badge? Or are there other criteria other than the ones you showed to determine whether a freelancer gets the badge or not?

I think you have to meet those requirements for a period of time, I'm not sure how long but I assume a few months at least.

Hi Jennifer! I was wondering if you could tell me why I am still not a Top Rated, even tho I've earned a thousand $ during the last 12-months (in my stats it says $771, but the profile says $1000+. And that was still updated yesterday with no single change there). Any thoughts?

Unfortunately, there is nothing I can do to help. You need to keep submitting proposals and improve your portfolio. Make sure to send out high quality samples of your work in your proposals.

on upwork you don't apply for a job for free. You should be ready to spend money. Not that much, but be ready.
