I love it how in the zombie apocolypse they still find power to run the pretty fairy lights in the shopping mall, and all the cars still have enough battery power for their alarms to go non-stop. Seems this zombie apocolypse must have just started yesterday yet the 3 zombies that exist have managed to over run the entire human civilisation.
It should include the "next day" situation where all the lights finally went out, the outside world is now pitch dark, and more zombies rising from the ground
Maybe people getting booted from servers is cannon and that's why the world is so barren 🤔 Its just a tragic story of these lonely people covered in blood desperate for physical contact with another human being, they're just misunderstood. Truly a masterpiece.

I was thinking this exact thing when I was watching RadBrad. My thought process was “well if they start shooting each other maybe they’re from another town. That would at least make sense.” But it wouldn’t because they’re on the same server. So technically they all started from the same area, so they should all be on the same team hypothetically. It didn’t make any sense to me.

It's videos like this, why I essentially only come to this channel for my reviews. The passionate, frustrated, non-biased rants when a game is God awful. I agree but it’s easy for them to go *this* hard on this game because it’s not developed by some major studio and there haven’t been contracts, nda’s or any other sort of legal paperwork involved. Where was this level of objectivity on the Modern Warfare 3 review or Starfield? They went surprisingly mild on those titles

I agree with the fact that Gameranx has does a fine job at game reviews, especially compared to most other critics on this platform, but they’re not completely unbiased, wich makes perfect sense honestly because you have business relations to maintain and you can’t just outright completely trash a company without expecting some sort of repercussions, but i do think that is a thing to keep in mind when watching these types of reviews. I was so hyped when this game was first announced. Finally a fun, challenging survival game that my friends and I could play. Wow did that expectation fall apart quickly.
Goes to show not to believe everything you see. 10 years in the future we will be seeing way more of things like this. Overhyping in audience to sell semi big on a shotty product.
@@Tangerator I knew the game was gonna flop for a while now. Even if it was free it's not worth playing. It just sucks cause it was a cool concept that could have made for an enjoyable game, but it was made by the wrong game company and for all the wrong reasons.

I am always watch this games when my cousin is play. His name is called Petrs. He is only having one eyes like the pie rat. I am lie for to him to thinking this games is the Ubisoft The Division number 4. He is like bugs inside this games he is thinking this is very kewl. Petrs is the very stupid guy but I am still loving this guy very much like he is now son for me.
The one thing I love about bad games is they generate the funniest reviews and this is one of the best. Your remark about the bullet delay had me in stitches.
I dont think this was ever a game, all their time was spent on assets and marketing. I am fully convinced that the last delay was for them to slap something quick together over the summer to save face. Especially since the game was NEVER marketed as an extraction shooter.
I've followed the story behind it a bit and it wasn't a game, not orginally. They made a couple of fake trailers (probably in UE5) and got people to invest money. Then they realised they had to make an actual game because one of the investors stipulated it or they'd be taken to court (again). That's why they released that TLOU rip off asset flip gameplay footage, continually delayed it, went from full release to early access and why this is nothing like the game they originally advertised.
Like many developers, they release a trailer that is a slice of game , one reason is to gauge interest. This ‘slice’ just happened to be very popular, because it looked very good. Then the devs went radio silent and everyone knew there was no possible way to deliver a full game like the original gameplay. Cyberpunk’s first footage was rendered aka not in-game, a lot of Ubisoft downgrades were the same deal though they have been better about it.
I'm glad it did. It shows up all the people who defended it over the years, despite the continual lies from the devs. However, I would like a good single player, offliine game like this but this isn't going to be it.
I think it's interesting and honest the way the Gameranx crew have gone from praising the initial news of this game to being sceptical about and then giving us this honest game review. Not that I would've played this game - not my cup of tea - but I appreciate the integrity and honesty from Jake, Falcon and the last guy. I read that even the city is a 300$ standard asset you can buy from Unreal 5 engine, So I guess the most beautiful thing they managed to create here, is the illusion they actually made something.

The reason we keep getting games like this is because people are still handing out money to the devs. The hype around it only makes more money for the devs scamming people. Anyone who is suprised about the quality of this game just dosen't do research. It's currently the top selling game in my region (NA) on stream...
Hey man if a game doesn't get money and attention the game doesn't get released it's why pre orders exist but yes research before preorders I've never once regretted a preorder most recently it's Frontiers of Pandora and I'm glad I bought it it's such a great game

Looks like it has been pulled from Steam already and the studio is shutting down, and the devs fleeing into obscurity. So, I guess it technically did release, but only technically. I am looking forward to Falcon's reaction ;).

You know what? The storage option not being the first option is a huge pet peeve of mine too. It may seem small but when you run to storage 30 times a day and you can't just click the first option? Yeah, it grinds on you. It's just one of those super specific QOL things.

The fact that this was released on the 7th, got canned after 4 days, and we only have a couple more weeks til 2023 is over, yet we are still setting records weeks before the year is out is a feat in and of itself. I mean it took them years just to have a game set a record in 4 days. Truly astonishing.
Noticing the running animation is taken directly from the last of us but with the 3rd person camera a bit further back. Even when your character crouches down to take inventory is just like when Joel opens his bag
There are zombie animations taken straight from those games also. The twitching and how they act just standing there. They didn’t even bother to hide the fact that everything in this game is a copy of something else.
Extraction shooters seem to be the dumbest and most reduced for the genre. Dunno why Devs stay away from skill based gameplay. From battle royale to now this. Such a boring genre. Shoot shit for hours to get gear that's mostly crap

Unless you taking about competitive shooters which are usually not extraction shooters or MMOs. Even planetside with it's scale can't call itself an mmo shooter. MMOFPS was just a made up word to drive up investment during the ps2-3 era. They all play like typical online shooters with varying mechanics and game modes. Even destiny, Warframe, borderlands and division 2 were reduced to being called looter shooters, not MMOs even though they can argue that they are closer to MMMo than actual shooters marketed as MMO.

It's a darn shame because this had immense potential and while the characters don't look groundbreaking the environments came out pretty impressive. That said this clearly turned out to be a disaster and it's really just odd how the devs just immediately gave up and shut down their studio just a few days after launch? Like literally years of all that work just down the drain? Something doesn't seem right. Adding to this had they released this in beta and worked out the kinks they probably would've had a functional game and most of the bugs worked out in just a few months??
Really upset that this game isn't at least playable... when this first got announced I was so excited. The Division is one of my favourite games ever made, and to combine that with open world survival seemed like a fever dream for me. I hope a real AAA has a go at this genre of game and actually makes it good
We have that. DayZ, State of Decay 2, some COD games have actually impressive zombie mode, Left 4 Dead. I have to admit my list is limited cos I haven't played too many of these. I heard about the Division but I can't comment on how good that actually is.
This genre has been done a milion times and there have been some doing it very well.. but its a dead genre so overdone how can you still have a craving for it 😂 is it the nostalgic feel you try to recreate? Cause that dont work and its better to move on!

I’ve been waiting for Jake and Falcon’s take on this game all day. I have a feeling like the other reviews I’ve seen that it will be hilarious. I agree Falcon I never thought it would release. I legit seen an error pop upon a stream that said UE_Shooter. Like they bought a shooter framework game that Unreal had, and didn’t even bother to change the name.
I'm sat here waiting for a re-upload with an extra 5 minutes run time. 30 seconds of how its delisted, studio shut down, etc. 4 minutes 30 seconds of Falcon just manically laughing and saying "I told you so!"
This video ended up being unnecessary after all. The game is no longer purchasable on Steam (at least not on my region). The company shut down literally 3 days after launch

@@BiIlDipperIy Oh they definitely voiced a fair amount of criticism but nowhere near what we see in this video, and that’s the point i was trying to make. I agree with the fact that Gameranx has does a fine job at game reviews, especially compared to most other critics on this platform, but they’re not completely unbiased, wich makes perfect sense honestly because you have business relations to maintain and you can’t just outright completely trash a company without expecting some sort of repercussions, but i do think that is a thing to keep in mind when watching these types of reviews. They might be honest, but not always as honest as they appear to be

I was so hyped when this game was first announced. Finally a fun, challenging survival game that my friends and I could play. Wow did that expectation fall apart quickly.
Goes to show not to believe everything you see. 10 years in the future we will be seeing way more of things like this. Overhyping in audience to sell semi big on a shotty product.
@@Tangerator I knew the game was gonna flop for a while now. Even if it was free it's not worth playing. It just sucks cause it was a cool concept that could have made for an enjoyable game, but it was made by the wrong game company and for all the wrong reasons.

I dont think this was ever a game, all their time was spent on assets and marketing. I am fully convinced that the last delay was for them to slap something quick together over the summer to save face. Especially since the game was NEVER marketed as an extraction shooter.

I've followed the story behind it a bit and it wasn't a game, not orginally. They made a couple of fake trailers (probably in UE5) and got people to invest money. Then they realised they had to make an actual game because one of the investors stipulated it or they'd be taken to court (again). That's why they released that TLOU rip off asset flip gameplay footage, continually delayed it, went from full release to early access and why this is nothing like the game they originally advertised.

Like many developers, they release a trailer that is a slice of game , one reason is to gauge interest. This ‘slice’ just happened to be very popular, because it looked very good. Then the devs went radio silent and everyone knew there was no possible way to deliver a full game like the original gameplay. Cyberpunk’s first footage was rendered aka not in-game, a lot of Ubisoft downgrades were the same deal though they have been better about it.

People jump with excitement at trailers and graphics, that are just used to create hype and gather money, but when the game drops, everyone comes to their senses, after experiencing horridness gameplay.
After Cyberpunk, I decided to wait until the game is finished before buying.

I am bloody amazed that this thing actually came out. That's the best thing that can be said about it: it actually released.
Looks like it has been pulled from Steam already and the studio is shutting down, and the devs fleeing into obscurity. So, I guess it technically did release, but only technically. I am looking forward to Falcon's reaction ;).

That part where you run up to that prison on the island @ 0:32, reminds of so much of that prison from Wow, where you had to do the quest to get the class mount for the Paladin. Weird, such an old, random, intense memory all of a sudden.
The fact that this was released on the 7th, got canned after 4 days, and we only have a couple more weeks til 2023 is over, yet we are still setting records weeks before the year is out is a feat in and of itself. I mean it took them years just to have a game set a record in 4 days. Truly astonishing.
Noticing the running animation is taken directly from the last of us but with the 3rd person camera a bit further back. Even when your character crouches down to take inventory is just like when Joel opens his bag
There are zombie animations taken straight from those games also. The twitching and how they act just standing there. They didn’t even bother to hide the fact that everything in this game is a copy of something else.
The font for the title of the game is literally just ripped straight from The Last of US 😭😂

Hunt Showdown is an example of an extraction shooter that has incredible immersion qualities... Mainly because of the sound design
Extraction shooters seem to be the dumbest and most reduced for the genre. Dunno why Devs stay away from skill based gameplay. From battle royale to now this. Such a boring genre. Shoot shit for hours to get gear that's mostly crap

Unless you taking about competitive shooters which are usually not extraction shooters or MMOs. Even planetside with it's scale can't call itself an mmo shooter. MMOFPS was just a made up word to drive up investment during the ps2-3 era. They all play like typical online shooters with varying mechanics and game modes. Even destiny, Warframe, borderlands and division 2 were reduced to being called looter shooters, not MMOs even though they can argue that they are closer to MMMo than actual shooters marketed as MMO.
Thank god for the internet and review stuff like this....this is for sure the type of game I'd buy based on the premise alone back in the day.

It's a darn shame because this had immense potential and while the characters don't look groundbreaking the environments came out pretty impressive. That said this clearly turned out to be a disaster and it's really just odd how the devs just immediately gave up and shut down their studio just a few days after launch? Like literally years of all that work just down the drain? Something doesn't seem right.
Adding to this had they released this in beta and worked out the kinks they probably would've had a functional game and most of the bugs worked out in just a few months??
The entire environment is purchasable in unity for around 900$

Really upset that this game isn't at least playable... when this first got announced I was so excited. The Division is one of my favourite games ever made, and to combine that with open world survival seemed like a fever dream for me. I hope a real AAA has a go at this genre of game and actually makes it good

We have that. DayZ, State of Decay 2, some COD games have actually impressive zombie mode, Left 4 Dead.
I have to admit my list is limited cos I haven't played too many of these. I heard about the Division but I can't comment on how good that actually is.
This genre has been done a milion times and there have been some doing it very well.. but its a dead genre so overdone how can you still have a craving for it 😂 is it the nostalgic feel you try to recreate? Cause that dont work and its better to move on!

I’ve been waiting for Jake and Falcon’s take on this game all day. I have a feeling like the other reviews I’ve seen that it will be hilarious. I agree Falcon I never thought it would release. I legit seen an error pop upon a stream that said UE_Shooter. Like they bought a shooter framework game that Unreal had, and didn’t even bother to change the name.
