Spider-Man 2 is a single player game where you can already play on a story-mode difficulty... they should've just added playing as Venom as a game mod you unlock after completing the game. Insomniac aren't against this sort of thing (look at Ratchet & Clank). I feel like that was a missed opportunity to add some fun replayability

Might be entitled but I hate when devs patch single player exploits that let the smart players get an advantage. You paid the $70 for a single player game so if you want to farm money or xp with glitches it up to you to decide. Yes it may ruin your experience but thats your decision.
Glitches that don't get patch up end up being part of the video game zeitgeist. It happened often. Number 18 (MissingNo) and the Dittman Glitch from RE4 were IMO the best ones.
Well when it is a simple bug that makes you OP like duplicating in TotK or that bug he showed with FONV, those should be patched as they ruin the games experience as well as make the game look poorly made but if there is a rather elaborate exploit that is not common to find, meaning that you have to go out of your way to do it, that doesn't ruin the game for casual playthroughs they should leave it in. Example in TotK and BotW you can easily break the economy by just hunting infinite respawning animals and making infinite money by going to the cold area first. BotW they also left in the infinite arrow spawn/dupe places. To know that you need to have gone there and learned that is a good way to make cash etc. With the internet too, having "X game, X money exploit" or something like that plastered on places like YT is not good marketing for your game.
One of my favorite bugs in new vegas was the fact that one of the missions could potentially give you infinite short hunting rifles. It was a quest where you had to save a ncr ranger from a cave. The quest reward is given via a dialogue choice you are given by the person you are supposed to save. If you decide not to leave the cave once you have collected the reward you can redo the bit of quest dialogue that gives you the reward over and over again. I did it so many times that I had enough caps to buy everything I wanted as far as weapons and armor went.

I don't know if the developers hated this or if it was meant to be, but there was an old PC game called Pizza tycoon. It was awesome, you could run a pizza restaurant and make pizzas and try to make money and all that. But that wasn't what was fun, you could sabotage your competitors restaurants and in order to do so you would have to buy weapons from gangsters. But here's the catch, weapons have different prices in the different regions of the game. So I'd be buying weapons in New York and I will be flying to Europe and selling them. Instead of being a pizza Tycoon game, it ended up being arms dealer tycoon. With a pizza front. It was awesome
Another honorable mention is Lego Star Wars the skywalker saga. If you bought the mandalorian DLC, mando also had grogu as a tertiary character that you could control(couldn’t use the force tho). So you could swap to mando, then to grogu, and then replace grogu with mando, rinse and repeat until you have your clone army. This glitch was pretty harmless, in fact I’d argue that it could very much sell more DLC. Instead of letting it go, the devs patched it. Then the players found a work around. The devs proceeded to make it so that baby yoda wasn’t playable. They did, however, make amends by adding the glitch as a cheat
So No one remembers GTAV online money glitch. When GTA online started you could transfer all the money from the story mode to online. So if you beat the game you could start with 100 million online
On the GTA v story mode I had to save file with each character having like $5 billion because of the in-game stock market I used to make real use of the insurance agencies you go out and cause a lot of destruction like blowing up cars like blow up a couple hundred cars and then in the next day the insurance stock would go down heaps that's where you buy as much as possible and then a in game week or something later it would bounce back up and that's when you sell then boom repeat I had like yeah two three billion each character it was awesome
@@JoeyB-b8v That is an intended feature. They also intended the stock market to come online too but the game got so popular and made the IRL MTX cash they quickly got rid of that idea.
GTAO started in a beta and was in beta for like 6+ months. Those exploits were unintended bugs and players got perma banned for stuff like that. People used to dump cash in others accounts and get others banned too. Of course that messes with their MTX as well. Damn I glitched gold in RDR2 online seeing how much of a grind it was. Wish I glitched more tbh.
The shield in Lies of P does not automatically parry all attacks, you need to time it like every parry. What your seeing isn't him parrying, the shield just has a explosive mechanic that pushes the enemy back during the 1st attack. After that holding it down just blocks but doesn't parry unless you hit the shields parry button at the right time.
When Battlefield 3 first launched, you could hop on top of an MAV and ride it up into the sky, then jump off onto rooftops of buildings or overpasses where players weren't meant to go. Perfect for snipers!
You could also glitch the boats so they would no-clip through terrain and then you could go under the map and shoot up at people. If you had the support class you could drop C4 and it would float up to the surface.
While Dogmeat dupe glitching was patched out in Fallout 4, I'm not sure if the conveyer belt version was ever patched. Basically for that you'd place items on a belt and as they were about to vanish into a storage container at the end of the belt you could grab them and end up with a copy for yourself while they also ended up in the container.
Destiny 2s fireteam player cap glitch for Raids and Grandmaster Nightfalls back in the day was an excessive and special experience that EVERYONE misses. Special mention to The Craftening weapons shaping glitches. Another amazingly fun time to be a player ❤
Goblin Wars was never really a secret or unintended aspect of the game. Some NPCs will even tell you about how to do it. This is the part I don't remember for sure, but IIRC there's even a quest to steal a totem and move it to another cave. So IMO the only unintended part is that they broke it.
@@otterspirits He ain't lying the quest is called Goblin Trouble, Mirisa will tell you that you can cause trouble by giving the Totem Head to a rival goblin tribe. If you do that a goblin war starts. I've done it many times :)
Number 12 you should make a vid of things players discovered that devs love, because ultrahand in TotK and flying vehicles came from all the jank magnesis stuff people found in BotW
I still think that glitches that don't mess up your game and require specific steps shouldn't be removed, especially if it helps players and provides enjoyment - even if it's different to what kind of enjoyment was intended.
Only glitches to remove are the ones that are threat to a save file or may break the game entirely/hard lock your progress. The rest is just stupid fun
I kinda agree but sometimes they just become too tempting to use. Once you have used it one time, you inevitably just keep using it. Doing that often ruins the fun.
For me, the best part about these glitches and exploits is knowing that some player actually found these crazy things, and how players share them. It’s a fun part of gaming culture.
Dogmeat grabbing cryolator without a care in the world, ignoring master lock its placed under is still one of the funniest shit ive seen in fallout ever xD

Yep. Only channel I watch for actual game reviews. As jake says it in the vids, they show "pros and cons of the game", they actually play the games instead of some crap like IGN. I do sometimes watch skill up and ACG though if I want more info on a game before I buy as gameranx BYB vids are short and to the point. Normally all I need is to see gameplay anyway. Been here since below 1mil subs too, good to see them grow, they deserve it.
To be honest, the only time I would patch a glitch or an exploit out of a game is when it affects file stability or it's being used to gain an advantage in an online PvP setting. Otherwise, I think it's perfectly fine to use them. In single-player games, the only person you can hurt using an exploit is yourself, so why not?
Vendor chests aren't so much a bug as a way to deal with vendor inventories. You can still grab Khajiit Caravan chests in Skyrim, but they patched the chest locations in Starfield since they were discovered too close to launch.
12:20 Vendor boxes like this are also in Skyrim that are still available in the most recent versions! Some are just as easy to reach without console commands :D

Getting out of the SP/MP maps in Halo 2 with the rocketsword jumps and a team of explorers ended up being one of my favourite things about the series. There was usually something cool to find
I've abused the heck out of the Missingno. glitch. One thing that's better than duplicating rare candies, though, is duplicating items like protein, which increase your Pokemon's stats. If you duplicate rare candies and use them to get to level 100, your Pokemon will actually be weaker than if you'd just trained, but if you use those stat increasing items, you'll maximize your Pokemon's potential. THEN you abuse rare candies. Also, one time, I encountered Professor Oak as a random encounter, which was pretty cool. He was apparently intended to be the final boss at one point in development, and the Missingno. glitch can grab from that data as if he were a random Pokemon. I hadn't been able to recreate that encounter since, but I've seen that others have figured out how to make it happen.
There are so many things you can encounter with different special numbers. I've only ever done the Mew/Long Range Trainer glitch, but Oak would be a cool fight
In Borderlands you could go to the Secret Armory of General Knoxx DLC, go to the end of it, right before activating the one time button to run the timer to destroy the armory and do the supermarket sweep event, and just walk around, there's a tiny corner of the level geometry that doesn't have collision. You drop down that hole and suddenly you're in the armory without the timer, you can take your sweet time looting hundreds of chests and finding all the best weapons, and the best part is that, unlike the event, this is repeatable as long as you don't push the self destruct button. You leave the game, re-enter it, and all the chests respawn. It's fixed now, but for a short period of time you could be very popular online just by not finishing the DLC and being the host so people could join and loot the armory repeatedly.
My favorite glitch ever was in Black Ops 1 zombies on the ascension map. You could basically hold on to the flying platforms and drop yourself on roofs to get the high ground. Great memories
In Destiny 1 there was a glitch for the Crota raid where he would get permanently locked in a downed state. So once it was done, the guardians just needed to keep shooting until he died. Early cheese for farming legendary items.
There was one glitch in No Mans Sky Outlaws update where the second cargo hold would not remove the items that you sold from that inventory allowing you to infinitely sell them. This worked best with Activated Indium before the prices got nerfed. Also worked for selling S Class starship mods to get nanites. It was patched about 5 days after the update came out.
I encountered missing no. back in the day, we never did it more than 3 times. I used it on rare candies and masterballs. Never had an issue with crashing or corrupted game saves. The gameshark though, is another story lol
Erdtree Greatshield of Elden Ring. The shield reflects enemy magic attacks in the form of a magic ball. You can cast Fire’s Deadly Sin incantation on yourself and somehow it counts as magic that you can reflect. You end up with a magic machine gun that trivialized most of the game.
A little known glitch from Pokemon Blue/Red is the infinite stats glitch. Each time you defeated the Elite 4 and Gary without losing a pokemon (basically going flawless), the first pokemon in your party list would gain 1 random stat... exceeding the expected stat ceiling. Found this out when my 100lvl Blastoise continued to stat up and was more powerful than a 100lvl Blastoise that stopped grinding the E4. Pissed off a couple of Pokemon Stadium players with this seemingly unknown glitch.
Does anyone else remember Super Bounces in Halo 2? Some maps on the OG Xbox Halo 2 had these parts of the maps where if you crouch-walked into an arch and “charge yourself up” for a minute or so, you could jump and then land on those spots and it would shoot up high up over the map. My favorite ones were on the Headlong map with all the construction.
I LOVED doing super bounces back in OG Halo 2! I remember the Headlong one to this day. Man, Halo 2 was such a great game for breaking out of levels. Most the campaign had entire vistas you could go out and explore pretty easily. I spent god knows how long just wandering out in the middle of nothing as a kid. They even added collectables outside the maps in the MCC version, which was really cool.
Doom Eternal: for a while you could fascinate the Marauder with an ice bomb. While he followed the ice bomb with the shield, you were free to shoot him with ... whatever you had in your inventory. Now he is not amused that much by ice bombs.
I remember there's also one in Nier Automata where the giant overleveled party machine (in that area with fireworks and colorful festive machines), can be hacked by 9s pretty easily. You're not supposed to fight it but it appears to be easily hackable, and gives a huge boost in EXP for both 9s and 2b, granted that they're not overleved yet. It's also patched as well so there's that.
Fun list. Here are couple for another. The cyberpunk painting dupe buy/sell exploit was a bit faster and easier on 1.0. The dog meat glitch works on conveyor belts and item storage now with dlc.
This is going way back. Road rash 2 for the Genesis. There was a multiplayer mode, and in that mode you could select any motorcycle you wanted. In the main game you had to earn money for the bigger and better motorcycles, but in the multiplayer head-to-head, you can select whatever you wanted. The trick was if you selected one of the big bikes, and just as the countdown for the race began, you hit the reset button, the game would restart and you would have that motorcycle in your garage. I figured it out on my own when I was 15.
After I killed a particular Spiderant in Borderlands 2, I got a very large amount of XP, raising me up a level. I had to go back to that area later in the game, and found that the Spiderant had respawned. So I killed it for kicks, and got a huge XP bump again. So I figured out that if you quit to title and restart, you can do this for ages. As I got higher levels, the kills got easier. Eventually it stops, but you get a huge bump. I did this for two hours solid. I gained 10 skill points easy peasy.
I got the Dodo to “fly” all the time in GTA 3 and I never knew about the tank glitch. It was a terrible experience, because the plane had terrible handling and would more or less randomly stall out and it was usually impossible to recover whenever that happened.
When Animal Crossing: New Horizons came out, there was a glitch where you could farm tarantulas and sell them, since they were the creature that was worth the most at the Nook shop. I saw Spiffing Brit show you how to do it, (which involved placing your item and constantly rotating it while another player would make the action to pick it up while it was being rotated, which gave you an infinite amount of tarantulas) but by the time I got a chance to try it, it didn't work.
I was able to use a similar glitch in FO4 on Paladin Brandis. Convinced him to rejoin the BOS and then headshot him and took his unique black brotherhood suit. Later when I went to the Prydwen Brandis was there all cleaned up to greet me
Idk if its been known, but in skyrim if you want somewhat of an unlimited sprint shout, all you have to do is use the shout and instantly wait an hour. While youre waiting you want to be spamming the shout button and it will keep using the shout over and over even after your stamina goes away. As long as you have a clear path you can do it forever
There is also the super striker from the OG Resident Evil 4. If you aimed the Striker, but paused the game and changed the weapon, it would speed up leon like 1,5x, including weapon shots and movements, making weapons like the Matilda mini machineguns. It also fucked up the reload a lot of the times, and I think it went off if you changed maps or used ladders
No. 4 reminds me of the mortarbike flying glitch in the old Battlezone 2 RTS. BZ2 was never meant to have flying, the vehicles were supposed to just hover right above the terrain, but it was soon discovered that the mortarbike unit was so lightweight it interacted with the game's physics in such a way that you could really fly it by pointing down and firing. There was almost no way to stop such an attack, because the guntowers and turrets couldn't aim straight up, so the mortarbike could just fire down on the enemy base with total impunity. Flying bikes this way was quickly agreed to be bad and the practice was forbidden by agreement in multiplayer matches. Eventually the devs rewrote the physics to make flying units impossible, creating a huge controversy amongst the player base. Ah, those were the days! Loved that game.
In 6th grade on the bus home from school I used all my Pokemon Red, rarecandy-cheated level 100 pokemon to beat this kid with a bunch of level 80s. Friends were giving me props and I was hyped for 10 seconds. Then I wasn't. That was the first time I realized winning unfairly wasn't winning.
I remember the Halo energy sword trick. It was fierce when combined with unlimited sniper rifle range. Most people just did it with a rocket launcher because it was easier. Getting both weapons, even for purposes not to exploit, made someone a serious threat.
There is a Dark Souls 1 duplicating glitch that still works today and is much easier than the Dragon Head one. Basically, you get 999 arrows (or something cheap) and confuse the menu to think the 999 quantity is for a different item. Then you can use 999 of anything, notably Souls of Whoevers. After I played through NG+ (so two runs) I used it to get every stat to 99. But don't hope it will make the game easy as it doesn't make the hugest different because more of the stats don't go up very much after the soft cap, which is usually around 40. One cool thing is if your Equip Load is at 99 and you wear the Havel Ring, you can wear the Havel Set and still do the fastest rolls.
#19 I was around for newly released Oblivion and I remember Goblin Wars, would have sworn there was even a minor quest about helping some settlers that involved this mechanic.
The Missingno glitch was also a good way to get Master Balls, Gold and I mean x-amount of cash by selling it and then heading to the casino in game to BUY coins and then going to BUY the Pokémon you wanted in game like Abra which runs after throwing a pokeball at it if it doesn't stay in the ball. Good old Bathesda, keeping the trader chests under the floorboards... I remember doing that in Skyrim haha

I remember I bug I found in Fallout. You can blackmail an iguana meat vendor in The Hub because you find out that he receives human meat from a doc in Junktown. You are supposed to get money once every I don't remember how many days. Instead you will get the money every time you ask. No idea if it was fixed later though.
There was a glitch in the witcher 3 wild hunt with just about every monster nest. If you leave like 5 items in the nest and leave it 200-300 feet and go back itd restock everything in the monster nest
Hell I think dead space 2 had the same issue with lock rooms. I stumbled on it by accident. I believe it was some of the rooms with checkpoints near them. Grab the stuff then backtrap to the checkpoint and then reload and there would be extra stuff. Eventually it would stop regenerating but that's after getting way more stuff then intended
There was a glitch in the first Wizardry game that allowed Bishops to gain huge amounts of XP, making it far easier to finish. Not sure if it's in the remastered version though.
fun fact: you can skip Stormveil Castle in Elden Ring by just going around. there's a path you can follow to get right to the next area, never even have to touch Margit
Crysis 1 multiplayer: unintended bug was that Anti-Aircraft vehicles fired bullets that had the same power as 100mm tanks. Grab an AA vehicle and literally 2-shot everything in multiplayer it was so broken, lol.
I remember playing Pokemon Blue and using the missing umber glitch. At one point, I decided to start catching them. It didn't corrupt my game and was getting level 125 Golducks. I could then boost their stats with items and then increase their level to 255 with rare candies. While the game doesn't require a level 255, battling friends was hilarious.
i still remeber they released red blue and yellow on 3ds and something clicked in my brain because i suddenly had 150 pokemon caught in blue and oh my god it took forever i think i fought the elite 4 15 times maybe more just to level up dratini
Sword glitch was my jam! All nighters in highschool with sword glitch games trying to get out of the map (learn new super jumps) & good ol' cat vs mouse!
I completely forgot about the goblins in Oblivion. I didn't know that you could cause them either. I had only seen it once and it was at the beginning of the game when you get to the cave under the prison. One time I just started a new playthrough and it was just there at the beginning
I had 1 in Stalker 2, I was able to glitch into Pripyat and get all the collectables there without fear as there were no enemies or anomalies, but the guide was still there so I was able to leave. Now the glitch is still there to get in, but it now has dangers.
I understand developers want their games to be as polished as possible, but I almost feel as though that should be their priority during the actual production of the game rather than in a patch. As long as a glitch or bug is confined to the single player, and doesn’t break the game entirely, then it’s harmless to keep in the game. In fact, there were multiple entires on this list that I was aware of without even having played the title. Only going to show how legendary they are
I've always felt like when developers patch these glitches, it takes away from the charm of the game. Back in the day, it was these glitches/exploits that helped make games fun and unique.
Also in cyberpunk before the cans/scrap exploit, you could do a side mission and get a painting worth like 10k creds. Then you sell to a vending machine and backout at the same time and you'd have the creds and painting!
There's another kind of duplication glitch in pokemon gold and silver (and crystal) where you use the PC storage mechanic to "clone" pokemon, I can't remember exactly how to do it but I remember it involved turning the game off when it said "saving do not turn off the power" and it would create copies of pokemon and also any item they were holding.
6:31 for the missing no, I was smart enough to dupe the rare candies but I also did the Masterballs and just caught everything; that was much easier than having to fight wild Pokémon all the time.
In Dark Souls go to Darkroot Garden go to the locked door next to the bonfire. Buy the crest to open it, and then find the 4 four guys in the forest area. They have a traditional adventuring party of fighter, cleric, rogue and sorcerer and they respawn at every bonfire. There's also a fifth that doesn't. Grab as many of them as you can and run back to the stairway to the side with the cliff, there's a ledge there so stand on it and hug the wall where the ledge ends. The npcs will run up the stairway and try to jump onto the ledge with you, ever. single. time. They will never follow you along the edge. If done right they will jump oiff the stairway and fall off the cliff giving you the souls, but they will also dick around and may back off so you may have to go back and grab them again or just fight them. If they land on the ledge which happens sometimes, you can easily knock them off. They're pretty tough if you're low stats, but worth 1000-3000 apiece (a total of 7000 for all of them). This trick takes about 2 mins per run and can quickly net you a lot of souls. If you die its also super easy and quick to grab your souls and try again.
With BG3, just buy as much as you please then separate all the vendor's gold into smaller piles to immensely lower the throw needed to steal. Only do it to vendors you don't intend to interact with any longer since they'll notice their gold has disappeared.
Erm, you can still sword fly in Halo 2 MCC. Have someone host, and then just use rockets or other weapons for red reticle and quickly switch to sword. A lot of people these days do it with a macro for singleplayer speed running.
The duplication glitch in fallout 4 can also be done if you have the contraptions workshop dlc. I did it so I can tackle Nuka World early before meeting Preston so I don’t lose him as a companion because I wanted the companion perk from Gage first 😂
Dead by daylight has a million things like this. Sky billy is my favorite. Using Hillbilly's chansaw in certain spots would launch you into the sky, allowing you to get on top of buildings and other things. There are some really cool videos of it. It has been removed by adding invisible walls that block you from flying off anything. No fun allowed! 😂

I don't know if the developers hated this or if it was meant to be, but there was an old PC game called Pizza tycoon. It was awesome, you could run a pizza restaurant and make pizzas and try to make money and all that. But that wasn't what was fun, you could sabotage your competitors restaurants and in order to do so you would have to buy weapons from gangsters. But here's the catch, weapons have different prices in the different regions of the game. So I'd be buying weapons in New York and I will be flying to Europe and selling them. Instead of being a pizza Tycoon game, it ended up being arms dealer tycoon. With a pizza front. It was awesome
Somehow Gearbox hated that we discovered weapon merging in Borderlands 2 which is a glitch you can hardly do by accident or the evil smasher glitch

Even the simplest of these amazes me how people figured them out, especially early games before it became something to do.
Another honorable mention is Lego Star Wars the skywalker saga. If you bought the mandalorian DLC, mando also had grogu as a tertiary character that you could control(couldn’t use the force tho). So you could swap to mando, then to grogu, and then replace grogu with mando, rinse and repeat until you have your clone army. This glitch was pretty harmless, in fact I’d argue that it could very much sell more DLC. Instead of letting it go, the devs patched it. Then the players found a work around. The devs proceeded to make it so that baby yoda wasn’t playable.
They did, however, make amends by adding the glitch as a cheat
So No one remembers GTAV online money glitch. When GTA online started you could transfer all the money from the story mode to online. So if you beat the game you could start with 100 million online
On the GTA v story mode I had to save file with each character having like $5 billion because of the in-game stock market I used to make real use of the insurance agencies you go out and cause a lot of destruction like blowing up cars like blow up a couple hundred cars and then in the next day the insurance stock would go down heaps that's where you buy as much as possible and then a in game week or something later it would bounce back up and that's when you sell then boom repeat I had like yeah two three billion each character it was awesome

@@JoeyB-b8v That is an intended feature. They also intended the stock market to come online too but the game got so popular and made the IRL MTX cash they quickly got rid of that idea.
GTAO started in a beta and was in beta for like 6+ months. Those exploits were unintended bugs and players got perma banned for stuff like that. People used to dump cash in others accounts and get others banned too.
Of course that messes with their MTX as well.

The shield in Lies of P does not automatically parry all attacks, you need to time it like every parry. What your seeing isn't him parrying, the shield just has a explosive mechanic that pushes the enemy back during the 1st attack. After that holding it down just blocks but doesn't parry unless you hit the shields parry button at the right time.
When Battlefield 3 first launched, you could hop on top of an MAV and ride it up into the sky, then jump off onto rooftops of buildings or overpasses where players weren't meant to go. Perfect for snipers!

You could also glitch the boats so they would no-clip through terrain and then you could go under the map and shoot up at people. If you had the support class you could drop C4 and it would float up to the surface.
While Dogmeat dupe glitching was patched out in Fallout 4, I'm not sure if the conveyer belt version was ever patched. Basically for that you'd place items on a belt and as they were about to vanish into a storage container at the end of the belt you could grab them and end up with a copy for yourself while they also ended up in the container.
Destiny 2s fireteam player cap glitch for Raids and Grandmaster Nightfalls back in the day was an excessive and special experience that EVERYONE misses.
Special mention to The Craftening weapons shaping glitches. Another amazingly fun time to be a player ❤
Goblin Wars was never really a secret or unintended aspect of the game. Some NPCs will even tell you about how to do it. This is the part I don't remember for sure, but IIRC there's even a quest to steal a totem and move it to another cave. So IMO the only unintended part is that they broke it.

@@otterspirits He ain't lying the quest is called Goblin Trouble, Mirisa will tell you that you can cause trouble by giving the Totem Head to a rival goblin tribe. If you do that a goblin war starts. I've done it many times :)
Number 12 you should make a vid of things players discovered that devs love, because ultrahand in TotK and flying vehicles came from all the jank magnesis stuff people found in BotW
I still think that glitches that don't mess up your game and require specific steps shouldn't be removed, especially if it helps players and provides enjoyment - even if it's different to what kind of enjoyment was intended.
Only glitches to remove are the ones that are threat to a save file or may break the game entirely/hard lock your progress. The rest is just stupid fun
I kinda agree but sometimes they just become too tempting to use. Once you have used it one time, you inevitably just keep using it. Doing that often ruins the fun.
For me, the best part about these glitches and exploits is knowing that some player actually found these crazy things, and how players share them. It’s a fun part of gaming culture.
Dogmeat grabbing cryolator without a care in the world, ignoring master lock its placed under is still one of the funniest shit ive seen in fallout ever xD

Yep. Only channel I watch for actual game reviews. As jake says it in the vids, they show "pros and cons of the game", they actually play the games instead of some crap like IGN.
I do sometimes watch skill up and ACG though if I want more info on a game before I buy as gameranx BYB vids are short and to the point.
Normally all I need is to see gameplay anyway.
Been here since below 1mil subs too, good to see them grow, they deserve it.
To be honest, the only time I would patch a glitch or an exploit out of a game is when it affects file stability or it's being used to gain an advantage in an online PvP setting. Otherwise, I think it's perfectly fine to use them. In single-player games, the only person you can hurt using an exploit is yourself, so why not?
So somehow bugs that are present in Skyrim for decades stay exist in Starfield?

Vendor chests aren't so much a bug as a way to deal with vendor inventories. You can still grab Khajiit Caravan chests in Skyrim, but they patched the chest locations in Starfield since they were discovered too close to launch.
12:20 Vendor boxes like this are also in Skyrim that are still available in the most recent versions! Some are just as easy to reach without console commands :D

That floating tank glitch reminds me of the swing set glitch in GTA 4.
Getting out of the SP/MP maps in Halo 2 with the rocketsword jumps and a team of explorers ended up being one of my favourite things about the series. There was usually something cool to find
I've abused the heck out of the Missingno. glitch. One thing that's better than duplicating rare candies, though, is duplicating items like protein, which increase your Pokemon's stats. If you duplicate rare candies and use them to get to level 100, your Pokemon will actually be weaker than if you'd just trained, but if you use those stat increasing items, you'll maximize your Pokemon's potential. THEN you abuse rare candies.
Also, one time, I encountered Professor Oak as a random encounter, which was pretty cool. He was apparently intended to be the final boss at one point in development, and the Missingno. glitch can grab from that data as if he were a random Pokemon. I hadn't been able to recreate that encounter since, but I've seen that others have figured out how to make it happen.
There are so many things you can encounter with different special numbers.
I've only ever done the Mew/Long Range Trainer glitch, but Oak would be a cool fight
In Borderlands you could go to the Secret Armory of General Knoxx DLC, go to the end of it, right before activating the one time button to run the timer to destroy the armory and do the supermarket sweep event, and just walk around, there's a tiny corner of the level geometry that doesn't have collision. You drop down that hole and suddenly you're in the armory without the timer, you can take your sweet time looting hundreds of chests and finding all the best weapons, and the best part is that, unlike the event, this is repeatable as long as you don't push the self destruct button. You leave the game, re-enter it, and all the chests respawn. It's fixed now, but for a short period of time you could be very popular online just by not finishing the DLC and being the host so people could join and loot the armory repeatedly.
My favorite glitch ever was in Black Ops 1 zombies on the ascension map. You could basically hold on to the flying platforms and drop yourself on roofs to get the high ground. Great memories
In Destiny 1 there was a glitch for the Crota raid where he would get permanently locked in a downed state. So once it was done, the guardians just needed to keep shooting until he died. Early cheese for farming legendary items.
There was one glitch in No Mans Sky Outlaws update where the second cargo hold would not remove the items that you sold from that inventory allowing you to infinitely sell them. This worked best with Activated Indium before the prices got nerfed. Also worked for selling S Class starship mods to get nanites. It was patched about 5 days after the update came out.
I encountered missing no. back in the day, we never did it more than 3 times. I used it on rare candies and masterballs. Never had an issue with crashing or corrupted game saves. The gameshark though, is another story lol
Erdtree Greatshield of Elden Ring. The shield reflects enemy magic attacks in the form of a magic ball. You can cast Fire’s Deadly Sin incantation on yourself and somehow it counts as magic that you can reflect. You end up with a magic machine gun that trivialized most of the game.
A little known glitch from Pokemon Blue/Red is the infinite stats glitch.
Each time you defeated the Elite 4 and Gary without losing a pokemon (basically going flawless), the first pokemon in your party list would gain 1 random stat... exceeding the expected stat ceiling.
Found this out when my 100lvl Blastoise continued to stat up and was more powerful than a 100lvl Blastoise that stopped grinding the E4.
Pissed off a couple of Pokemon Stadium players with this seemingly unknown glitch.
Does anyone else remember Super Bounces in Halo 2?
Some maps on the OG Xbox Halo 2 had these parts of the maps where if you crouch-walked into an arch and “charge yourself up” for a minute or so, you could jump and then land on those spots and it would shoot up high up over the map.
My favorite ones were on the Headlong map with all the construction.
I LOVED doing super bounces back in OG Halo 2! I remember the Headlong one to this day. Man, Halo 2 was such a great game for breaking out of levels. Most the campaign had entire vistas you could go out and explore pretty easily. I spent god knows how long just wandering out in the middle of nothing as a kid. They even added collectables outside the maps in the MCC version, which was really cool.
So what you're telling me is, GTA3 had the A-Team in that tank?

Doom Eternal: for a while you could fascinate the Marauder with an ice bomb. While he followed the ice bomb with the shield, you were free to shoot him with ... whatever you had in your inventory. Now he is not amused that much by ice bombs.
I remember there's also one in Nier Automata where the giant overleveled party machine (in that area with fireworks and colorful festive machines), can be hacked by 9s pretty easily. You're not supposed to fight it but it appears to be easily hackable, and gives a huge boost in EXP for both 9s and 2b, granted that they're not overleved yet. It's also patched as well so there's that.

The cyberpunk painting dupe buy/sell exploit was a bit faster and easier on 1.0.
The dog meat glitch works on conveyor belts and item storage now with dlc.
This is going way back. Road rash 2 for the Genesis. There was a multiplayer mode, and in that mode you could select any motorcycle you wanted. In the main game you had to earn money for the bigger and better motorcycles, but in the multiplayer head-to-head, you can select whatever you wanted. The trick was if you selected one of the big bikes, and just as the countdown for the race began, you hit the reset button, the game would restart and you would have that motorcycle in your garage. I figured it out on my own when I was 15.

After I killed a particular Spiderant in Borderlands 2, I got a very large amount of XP, raising me up a level. I had to go back to that area later in the game, and found that the Spiderant had respawned. So I killed it for kicks, and got a huge XP bump again. So I figured out that if you quit to title and restart, you can do this for ages. As I got higher levels, the kills got easier. Eventually it stops, but you get a huge bump. I did this for two hours solid. I gained 10 skill points easy peasy.
I got the Dodo to “fly” all the time in GTA 3 and I never knew about the tank glitch. It was a terrible experience, because the plane had terrible handling and would more or less randomly stall out and it was usually impossible to recover whenever that happened.
When Animal Crossing: New Horizons came out, there was a glitch where you could farm tarantulas and sell them, since they were the creature that was worth the most at the Nook shop. I saw Spiffing Brit show you how to do it, (which involved placing your item and constantly rotating it while another player would make the action to pick it up while it was being rotated, which gave you an infinite amount of tarantulas) but by the time I got a chance to try it, it didn't work.
I was able to use a similar glitch in FO4 on Paladin Brandis. Convinced him to rejoin the BOS and then headshot him and took his unique black brotherhood suit. Later when I went to the Prydwen Brandis was there all cleaned up to greet me
19:25 I miss the exploit of going out of the area as Venom. The funniest part about it is going across the map to ride on a bike as Venom.
In days gone for the Dimond Lake Camp hoard, you can walk up a tree, and the freaks can't get you. There's also a way to fly at the sawmill hoard
Idk if its been known, but in skyrim if you want somewhat of an unlimited sprint shout, all you have to do is use the shout and instantly wait an hour. While youre waiting you want to be spamming the shout button and it will keep using the shout over and over even after your stamina goes away. As long as you have a clear path you can do it forever
There is also the super striker from the OG Resident Evil 4. If you aimed the Striker, but paused the game and changed the weapon, it would speed up leon like 1,5x, including weapon shots and movements, making weapons like the Matilda mini machineguns. It also fucked up the reload a lot of the times, and I think it went off if you changed maps or used ladders
No. 4 reminds me of the mortarbike flying glitch in the old Battlezone 2 RTS. BZ2 was never meant to have flying, the vehicles were supposed to just hover right above the terrain, but it was soon discovered that the mortarbike unit was so lightweight it interacted with the game's physics in such a way that you could really fly it by pointing down and firing. There was almost no way to stop such an attack, because the guntowers and turrets couldn't aim straight up, so the mortarbike could just fire down on the enemy base with total impunity. Flying bikes this way was quickly agreed to be bad and the practice was forbidden by agreement in multiplayer matches. Eventually the devs rewrote the physics to make flying units impossible, creating a huge controversy amongst the player base. Ah, those were the days! Loved that game.

In 6th grade on the bus home from school I used all my Pokemon Red, rarecandy-cheated level 100 pokemon to beat this kid with a bunch of level 80s.
Friends were giving me props and I was hyped for 10 seconds. Then I wasn't.
That was the first time I realized winning unfairly wasn't winning.

I remember the Halo energy sword trick. It was fierce when combined with unlimited sniper rifle range. Most people just did it with a rocket launcher because it was easier. Getting both weapons, even for purposes not to exploit, made someone a serious threat.

There is a Dark Souls 1 duplicating glitch that still works today and is much easier than the Dragon Head one. Basically, you get 999 arrows (or something cheap) and confuse the menu to think the 999 quantity is for a different item. Then you can use 999 of anything, notably Souls of Whoevers. After I played through NG+ (so two runs) I used it to get every stat to 99. But don't hope it will make the game easy as it doesn't make the hugest different because more of the stats don't go up very much after the soft cap, which is usually around 40. One cool thing is if your Equip Load is at 99 and you wear the Havel Ring, you can wear the Havel Set and still do the fastest rolls.

#19 I was around for newly released Oblivion and I remember Goblin Wars, would have sworn there was even a minor quest about helping some settlers that involved this mechanic.
The Missingno glitch was also a good way to get Master Balls, Gold and I mean x-amount of cash by selling it and then heading to the casino in game to BUY coins and then going to BUY the Pokémon you wanted in game like Abra which runs after throwing a pokeball at it if it doesn't stay in the ball.

I remember I bug I found in Fallout. You can blackmail an iguana meat vendor in The Hub because you find out that he receives human meat from a doc in Junktown. You are supposed to get money once every I don't remember how many days. Instead you will get the money every time you ask. No idea if it was fixed later though.

There was a glitch in the witcher 3 wild hunt with just about every monster nest. If you leave like 5 items in the nest and leave it 200-300 feet and go back itd restock everything in the monster nest
Hell I think dead space 2 had the same issue with lock rooms. I stumbled on it by accident. I believe it was some of the rooms with checkpoints near them. Grab the stuff then backtrap to the checkpoint and then reload and there would be extra stuff. Eventually it would stop regenerating but that's after getting way more stuff then intended

There was a glitch in the first Wizardry game that allowed Bishops to gain huge amounts of XP, making it far easier to finish. Not sure if it's in the remastered version though.
fun fact: you can skip Stormveil Castle in Elden Ring by just going around. there's a path you can follow to get right to the next area, never even have to touch Margit

X-Zone and Doom are different spells in FF6. It's not a different translation, they are different spells. Doom hits 1 enemy. X-Zone hits all enemies.

Crysis 1 multiplayer: unintended bug was that Anti-Aircraft vehicles fired bullets that had the same power as 100mm tanks. Grab an AA vehicle and literally 2-shot everything in multiplayer it was so broken, lol.
I remember playing Pokemon Blue and using the missing umber glitch. At one point, I decided to start catching them. It didn't corrupt my game and was getting level 125 Golducks. I could then boost their stats with items and then increase their level to 255 with rare candies. While the game doesn't require a level 255, battling friends was hilarious.
i still remeber they released red blue and yellow on 3ds and something clicked in my brain
because i suddenly had 150 pokemon caught in blue and oh my god it took forever i think i fought the elite 4 15 times maybe more just to level up dratini
Sword glitch was my jam! All nighters in highschool with sword glitch games trying to get out of the map (learn new super jumps) & good ol' cat vs mouse!
I completely forgot about the goblins in Oblivion. I didn't know that you could cause them either. I had only seen it once and it was at the beginning of the game when you get to the cave under the prison. One time I just started a new playthrough and it was just there at the beginning

I had 1 in Stalker 2, I was able to glitch into Pripyat and get all the collectables there without fear as there were no enemies or anomalies, but the guide was still there so I was able to leave. Now the glitch is still there to get in, but it now has dangers.
I understand developers want their games to be as polished as possible, but I almost feel as though that should be their priority during the actual production of the game rather than in a patch. As long as a glitch or bug is confined to the single player, and doesn’t break the game entirely, then it’s harmless to keep in the game. In fact, there were multiple entires on this list that I was aware of without even having played the title. Only going to show how legendary they are
I've always felt like when developers patch these glitches, it takes away from the charm of the game. Back in the day, it was these glitches/exploits that helped make games fun and unique.
what’s awesome is bungie acknowledged the sword lunge by adding the eager edge perk to swords in destiny 2
Also in cyberpunk before the cans/scrap exploit, you could do a side mission and get a painting worth like 10k creds. Then you sell to a vending machine and backout at the same time and you'd have the creds and painting!
The loot cave wasn't in Destiny 2 but the first Destiny. They did, however, patch into the game and easteregg about it in the same cave.
There's another kind of duplication glitch in pokemon gold and silver (and crystal) where you use the PC storage mechanic to "clone" pokemon, I can't remember exactly how to do it but I remember it involved turning the game off when it said "saving do not turn off the power" and it would create copies of pokemon and also any item they were holding.
6:31 for the missing no, I was smart enough to dupe the rare candies but I also did the Masterballs and just caught everything; that was much easier than having to fight wild Pokémon all the time.
In Dark Souls go to Darkroot Garden go to the locked door next to the bonfire. Buy the crest to open it, and then find the 4 four guys in the forest area. They have a traditional adventuring party of fighter, cleric, rogue and sorcerer and they respawn at every bonfire. There's also a fifth that doesn't. Grab as many of them as you can and run back to the stairway to the side with the cliff, there's a ledge there so stand on it and hug the wall where the ledge ends. The npcs will run up the stairway and try to jump onto the ledge with you, ever. single. time. They will never follow you along the edge. If done right they will jump oiff the stairway and fall off the cliff giving you the souls, but they will also dick around and may back off so you may have to go back and grab them again or just fight them. If they land on the ledge which happens sometimes, you can easily knock them off. They're pretty tough if you're low stats, but worth 1000-3000 apiece (a total of 7000 for all of them). This trick takes about 2 mins per run and can quickly net you a lot of souls. If you die its also super easy and quick to grab your souls and try again.
I was surprised to not see the Halo Infinite tank gun that made LASO easy. They patched it out and then after fans complained they added it back in

With BG3, just buy as much as you please then separate all the vendor's gold into smaller piles to immensely lower the throw needed to steal. Only do it to vendors you don't intend to interact with any longer since they'll notice their gold has disappeared.

Erm, you can still sword fly in Halo 2 MCC. Have someone host, and then just use rockets or other weapons for red reticle and quickly switch to sword. A lot of people these days do it with a macro for singleplayer speed running.
The duplication glitch in fallout 4 can also be done if you have the contraptions workshop dlc. I did it so I can tackle Nuka World early before meeting Preston so I don’t lose him as a companion because I wanted the companion perk from Gage first 😂
Dead by daylight has a million things like this. Sky billy is my favorite. Using Hillbilly's chansaw in certain spots would launch you into the sky, allowing you to get on top of buildings and other things. There are some really cool videos of it. It has been removed by adding invisible walls that block you from flying off anything. No fun allowed! 😂
