Y'all overlooked Netero stating that humans had infinite potential. The Ant King was the Pinnacle for ant evolution, but Netero was not. Humans could evolve way past the Ant King in power.
The ant king was never a threat. It was just simply a matter of using as little resources and casualties as possible to wiping them. Even if he lived he would have been nuked to hell.
In response to mickey's comment about the bodhisatva doing nothing to the king in general (don't know how to write it xd), that's exactly why he ended up telling meruem his name, he admitted defeat as a fighter by not being able to beat him with his own power, so he tells him his name and use the nuke after. Regarding Netero's attack being the strongest move a human can muster is debatable. remember guys, you're forgetting that Nen is limitless, and Netero is a prime example of a human being who reached his peak regarding Nen under traditional circumstances. However, what if the individual Nen evolution isn't traditional, you're forgetting that there Nen can follow a condition system which immediately changes the rules of the game. The deadlier the condition that the individual sets, the stronger the Nen ability becomes. Kurapika and Chororo are prime examples. Nen in its traditional form follows the force with its rules while with conditions it follows the dark side of the force which can also be way stronger than the traditional ways.
In other animes , if a character laughs even when he's completely immobile that either meant that he had a hidden power or that he knows someone strong who will avenge his death, but in this anime let's be honest , no one expected a Nuke😳😳😳😳😳.....Man I loveee this Anime😭😭 , Togashi get well soon ma guy😭

This fight came down to a difference in view on what "evolution" is. Meruem referred to a biological/physical evolution, whereas Netero referred to a technological evolution. The difference between the ants and the humans is that the humans have always dealt with being weak physically, and have invented ways around their fragile exterior, whereas the ants were always biologically superior to species around them, so they never had the need to develop anything resembling weapons, let alone a bomb.
I remember when I first saw this episode, it instantly jettisoned Hunter x Hunter to my favorite anime of all time. From here on out it’s all heartstrings being tugged on. From this episode on is some of the best anime you’ll ever watch, so enjoy it all 🙂
Your guys's Channel went down right before this episode came out. Haven't had a case of blue balls this bad in years. I've been waiting for this for almost a month now!
What's also interesting is that Netero probably had that bomb implanted for just anybody who was capable of defeating him in battle and not just the King. Netero was so prideful and arrogant that he couldn't let someone stronger than him live while he perished and it was meant to take out anyone strong enough to take down the strongest man in the world as they'd be too dangerous to be left alive.
imagine netero getting a heart attack in the middle of the palace before leaving - nuking both the ants, hunters and the hundreds of thousands of people gathered outside...
From what was shown, I think the other governments would be fine with that, so long as it took out the ants. They probably would have resorted to that if the hunters had failed anyway.
they took the King to a weapons testing site for a reason ^^ ... and Neteros speach still gives me the shivers ... it's even better with the japanese word that means evolution/malice ^^ HUMANITY FIRST!! ^^
Netero had a simple point. No matter how much these creatures evolved biologically, they could never hope to match humanity's bottomless malice and technologically progression. There's plenty of cruelty that humans are capable of. The ants, while more powerful, were not inherently cruel. The species focused on hive mind and a simplistic mindset, combined with monstrous power. Humans are something else altogether, proven by everything wrong in the world today, with so many people still wilfully indulging in selfishness, greed and ignorance.
Love the small details , how the narrator explains the rose shape of the bomb and everything. The ants were mere babies compared to a pantheon of human warfare and evolution spanning millennia.

At the end of this arc it's tough to say there's actual villains. Everything's gray, each character has their own perspective and if anything Netero might be the closest thing to a villain
I guess. But I mean the ants were literally eating humans. Netero basically just said I’m willing to prevent that by any means necessary. If the king and the guard had been like colt or Ikalgo and said he we just want exist peacefully and not eat humans im sure they would’ve agreed. But that wasn’t on the table.
The big point was Netero thinking was right from the beginning of this fight was his knowledge of the bomb and Human race. Meruem meant what he said, and he may have wreck havoc in order to create his equality dream world. But Netero knew. He knew that strenght, training, potential, all of that is inferior to the infinite potential of the Human Race and its potential to evolve, to destroy. Meruem would never have conquered mankind, because mankind would have nuked the entire know world before letting that happen. And Netero knew it. He had to stop Meruem, because that was the only way to protect Humanity, not from the ant, but from itself.
netero's Ultimate attack makes him the most hardcore military vet. and he still wasn't even at the top of humanity. he said it had bee 30 years. since he was in the top ranks of nen users. but also shows that Hiroshima still had a huge impact o Japan to this day.
I prefer evolution over malice, since it fits as a better retort to the arrogance of Mereum proclaiming himself the pinnacle of all species, because he is mastering the use of nen and is a peak physical specimen, but Netero knows that is moot because mankind has mastered something greater, technology, and that is why we rule as a species. It’s just an epic FU from Netero that gives me goosebumps every single time, especially when he comments that he’ll see him in Hell. Lots to digest there.

Thanks for the double drop, Micky's face was just stuck it was amazing finally y'all know what's good
Y'all overlooked Netero stating that humans had infinite potential.
The Ant King was the Pinnacle for ant evolution, but Netero was not.
Humans could evolve way past the Ant King in power.
They already did, that's the point of the 'small and cheap, mass produced bomb'
They already did by the time...
I didn't read to much into it the first time I watch it that's why I mention it here, but it is just genius how the person who has train to perfection and values strenght the most must put his pride aside and use some cheap ass nuke, it's kinda sad actually.
I think that's why his final line is so terrifying.
I think the damage he took from the bodisatva really counted towards him dying from the rose. Else may be he would ve survived the rose
@@truepotential206 he wouldnt have survived. remember the rose has very dangerous poison in it. it wouldnt matter if he took 0 damage
"Do not underestimate humanity's infinite potential for malice!"
I'm gay.
damn I never even thought of it that way at all.
Yeah, the Japanese people take nuclear weapons very serious. The Godzilla from the first movies was a metaphor for the atom bomb.
@Aleksa Kurtovic are you ok?
The power of the atom, more powerful than 'gods'.
Aleksa Kurtovic
Well considering God doesn’t exist the nuke and/or atom bomb are the strongest thing currently in our existence
Micky: * wanting blow up NGL since day 1 *
-Miniature rose appears
Micky: * surprised pikachu face *
😂😂
When your 500 IQ checkmate move is a fucking nuclear bomb.
Interesting
In other animes , if a character laughs even when he's completely immobile that either meant that he had a hidden power or that he knows someone strong who will avenge his death, but in this anime let's be honest , no one expected a Nuke😳😳😳😳😳.....Man I loveee this Anime😭😭 , Togashi get well soon ma guy😭
Micky said multiple time that they should just nuke the island in the past
You asked who animated this; it was Madhouse! The same studio who did One-Punch Man (Season 1) and many other shows you have yet to experience.
Although I have to mention that the artists from Madhouse asked a lot of guys from Bones and freelancers for help.
@@johanliebert4622 freelancers animators help animating most of the animes
20:40 I don't think it's messed up at all that you rooted for Meruem, because so far, it seems like he's the hero of this arc who is undergoing some major character development.
Who's to say how he would grow? How his views of humans would change? ("Won't be using humans to propagate our species anymore" Sure you wouldn't Mereum, that's not total b.s. at all) I knew how dangerous he could be(and thus, why humanity would be so absolutely opposed to letting him, and the other ants, live), but damn, if I wasn't rooting for him by the end of this arc!
that explosion is seriously, in my opinion, the best animated sequence in the show. beyond crisp.
actual Redline tier animation.
Mickey predicted that nuke but he still shooked
"Who animated this episode?" hm more than one people for sure lol
Man, Micky's been telling from the start to nuke em, just nuke em all, and his wish finally came through lol
Yes, this fight was better than any DB fight. I'm a huge Dragon Ball fan, btw.
A 1000 times better.
Even I am a DB fan but gotta appreciate what is great
@@jellalfernandes1309 Yeah
I love dbz and I love dbz fights
But sometimes I wish they would put just a little strategy into their fights
It would make the fights so much better
Remember how tough NETERO's leg when Killua Kicked it in the Hunter Exam?
killua didnt have nen, and nen users usually have this layer of protection at all times, even in its weakest form its probably miles ahead of basic human strenght
Funny how Micky is just gazing and smiling. He's frozen in the beginning 😂
Togashi makes you love the villains that's why you should react to Yu Yu Hakusho
SPOILER ALERT: Only TONPA can defeat the king
In the words of abridged Goku “If you can’t beat em, BOMB EM!”
When the hell was that
ABDALLAH TEKOUK it was in the super android 13 movie before he absorbs the spirit bomb
ABDALLAH TEKOUK at about 15:55
The pleasant sounds of the score in the background whenever horror occurs in each episode is so crazy! Whenever a human child is eaten by a Chimera Ant or something like this Poor Man's Rose explosion happens, euphoric music plays. It's such a mind fking.
This one of the singular best episodes in all Shonen I feel, the production and build of the fight was fantastic
MADHOUSE is the house of production
I remember when I first saw this episode, it instantly jettisoned Hunter x Hunter to my favorite anime of all time. From here on out it’s all heartstrings being tugged on. From this episode on is some of the best anime you’ll ever watch, so enjoy it all 🙂
"wooooooooooooooooooooooooow" "daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn" You guys aren't even trying anymore hahahaha
Your guys's Channel went down right before this episode came out. Haven't had a case of blue balls this bad in years. I've been waiting for this for almost a month now!
Maybe you should've checked the community posts?
They uploaded these as per the schedule (2 weeks ago) and linked it in a community post.
Didn't he get it done before he left to take on the ants? I seem to remember him asking for a doctor who specializes in artificial organs and stuff
@@j.fowler5380 The doctor for artificial organs was for the queen of the ants
Was thinking you might not double drop but thank God you did! These episodes are too good not to watch together. Thank you Normies
imagine netero getting a heart attack in the middle of the palace before leaving - nuking both the ants, hunters and the hundreds of thousands of people gathered outside...
From what was shown, I think the other governments would be fine with that, so long as it took out the ants. They probably would have resorted to that if the hunters had failed anyway.
Netero: *loses leg
Rana: :0
Suraj: :0
Micky: >:|
Nahid: :D
Nahid = Rob confirmed
RHS_mkz Nah, Rob is more like: 🤡 or 🤤😪
Both characters who died in this arc kite and netero are also showing the audience their back in the intro. Praise togashi
they took the King to a weapons testing site for a reason ^^ ... and Neteros speach still gives me the shivers ... it's even better with the japanese word that means evolution/malice ^^
HUMANITY FIRST!!
I just watched this episode and god damn, this is one of the best episodes in anime history.
Haha i love the guy in the middle he just look like me when i saw it the first time
Love the small details , how the narrator explains the rose shape of the bomb and everything. The ants were mere babies compared to a pantheon of human warfare and evolution spanning millennia.
we're THIS close to that episode ladies and gents!
This fight was the Pinnacle of human perfection VS the pinnacle of evolution
Netero: "Well if you can't beat 'em.....NUKE 'EM!! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ "
This episode and 135 are the ones I've been waiting for.
Not 131?
I've waiting for 131.
I how the king is sitting down before Neteros arm has even landed on the floor
U guys.. this anime is just something else yo, i don't even know what to say there is no anime thet's like it it's simply different from others. It's just .. damn it 🤦🏽♂️
exactly :)
my fav anime of all time
It is so poetic that the arm and leg he lost were the exact arm and leg he used against Gon in the very beginning during the hunter exam
Suraj: "Wow... That's beautiful, man. Fucking beautiful... Nearly in tears"
Hxh fans: yo u will be soon
Great reaction & discussion 💯💯💯
"he looks like ghandi bro" lmao
Ant King said the pinnacle of all evolution is him. Netero said you don't know about evelution of humans so he showed him what we accoplished. The Nuclear Weapons of Mass Destruction
Theres the nuke Mickey's been calling for :D
Mickey "A FUCKING NUKE!?" LMAO
Imagine netero getting a heart attack when he's with his comrades.
Welcome back guys, YT leave the Normies alone!! 😤
13:50 This is why I don't like Suraj, even when the story tells him something factual, he sticks to his own head cannon
Damn it was just conjecture
@@Tweek08 You're right that was a little harsh lol, let me rephrase. It's not that I don't like him, I just don't think he's a very good reactor.
In almost every reaction, most of the things he says are so contradictory to what he just watched that it's a little annoying.
Fucking intense episode. I was like the 2 middle reactors, so focused and quiet to witness this masterpiece
WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTT???
Natero Lost his arm?
That never happened before

Es verdad, todos repiten lo de siempre en los comentarios en vez de ser originales jajaja
King: “the ants will destroy everything humans hold dear!”
Humans: “been there, done that”
One of the greatest episodes ever!! The best twist in the game!!
Mickey was fully focused in this episode. Love to see it
19:39 did i just heared "he was a decent villain?"
I think he meant his behaviour
The foreshadowing is crazy that led up to this scene
am i the only one who cries when watching this episode? it hits me every time.
What a GOAT episode 🐐
netero's Ultimate attack makes him the most hardcore military vet. and he still wasn't even at the top of humanity. he said it had bee 30 years. since he was in the top ranks of nen users. but also shows that Hiroshima still had a huge impact o Japan to this day.
Also the fact that Netero had a tendency to downplay his own power. He very well could still be the pinnacle of human nen user strength
@@SolidSnake240 true. but given the way ging uses his nen I can't ot agree with his estimate either.
And here the emotional roller coaster begins.
I’m so happy there back on TH-cam
what i understand with "trap the enemy with indiscriminate love" is because the enemy instints wont react because dont feel that you will do anything to them you are showing them love and that leave you open of the big shot i really love how they write this and the logic behind it
I love that in a series full of magical creatures and supernatural abilities the most terrifying thing still in that world is the weapons created by man to wipe each other out.
Meruem went from genocide to concentration camps lol
Netero flexed so hard, it closed the wound.
The arm and leg that gon and killua couldn't even catch.
Meruem is the only main villain who never met the main caractere in the history of tv shows
i just realized in episode 7 the remaining arms and leg remains are the same legs and arm killua notice
Killua didn't run away when you saw it, that was many days ago from many episodes ago lol.
The king in the center all time was like :O?
